I signed up a month ago and got a random charge on my cc, I was told it was because the checking information I gave them was wrong....i reminded the "manager" that she was given a check to enter the information so "SHE" entered it wrong. The manager indicated she corrected it and I would receive a credit on my cc for the amount that I should not have been charged. Not sure what she did because later that evening I got a text stating my account was past due! Stay the hell away from this place; I think they could screw up a one man funeral. read more

UPDATE: Hope this helps anyone needing to cancel at this specific planet fitness...i called the manager and let him know that I was unable to come in and needed to cancel today. He allowed me to send an email to cancel. ...Ppl read your contract in your app. There is no mention of a manger needing to be on staff. I have had no issues with planet Fitness at all. In fact, the only reason I went in today to cancel my membership was because my son goes to a different gym, and I wanted to spend more time with him going to his gym. I came in at 5:45pm after I got off work to cancel, as the policy has always been that you have to cancel in person , and I was told that I couldn't cancel until a manager was in and the very helpful young man at the counter named off some times I could come in the next couple days when a manager would be in...Saturday from 4:45 AM to 115pm and then some thing on Sunday that I can't remember... I asked him if he would be willing to call his manager to get permission to cancel the membership, despite a manger not being in, and he was told that a manager had to be there.. they make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership because not only do you have to go in person but you have to go in when a manager is there... So for anybody who works the 9 to 5 you're screwed. read more

This location is always extremely clean and the staff are friendly. Weights were always reracked, there was ample cleaning supplies across the gym, and the vast majority of patrons cleaned their station after use. It was nice to see the workers have a positive attitude even at 4 am, especially Tyler (who is a lovely force of positive energy). I've been to bigger box gyms where the cleanliness and customer service was lacking so I always appreciated the experience here. If planet fitness has the equipment you need, there is really no reason to look anywhere else. Additionally, cancelling was very easy. I ended up getting a different membership through work and when I went to the location to cancel it was an extremely easy and painless process. They aren't one of those places where you have to beg or jump through hoops to get out of a membership. The same goes for pausing/freezing your membership, they also make that process a breeze. Overall I'm very happy with my experience and highly recommend this location especially. read more

Planet Fitness has been advertising, "Only $10 a month!" for years, so I finally decided I'd take the dive, since $120 a year is far more attractive than the Apache Junction Multi-Gen. Center, which charges $200 annually, isn't open nights or weekends, has little-to-no handicapped parking and zero water temperature options in their bathrooms. After a brief tour of Planet Fitness' impressive and clean facilities, I inquired what discount incentive a year's prepayment would earn me. Much to my shock, the nice girl's response was, "We can give you a year for $205". Whaaaaat..............? Well, she explained, there's hidden costs, little fees, penalties, fun taxes, account assessments, set-up costs, account fees, junk fees, secret fees, and more garbage fees than a Great Lakes freighter full of escrow instructions. I said I'll have to think about it. Meanwhile, l Iooked on Yelp, only to find the Anonymous Owner of Planet Fitness is quick to ask victims, who have already complained, to re-submit their complaints. Even the most egregious offenses have never been followed up on, even after the passage of years. And the issue of why customers need a siphon hose plugged into their checking accounts after paying in full with debit cards has been asked, but never truthfully answered. Meanwhile, the creative art of aligning the fine print in an advertiser's contract with the big words in his ads, is more than ever a lost art in the Grand Liar State of Arizona. read more

Planet Fitness in AJ is the gym to be in:-) I'm so thankful they were able to re-open. But P.F. waited until June 4th to do it to ensure it was safe for everyone. It is still the BEST gym out there having tried LA Fitness & Lifetime, I love P.F. The staff: Pauline & Travis at the front desk make you feel like family. Robert, is a bad a** trainer- he cares about his clients and teaching proper form. If you want to get in shape, you must meet this dude- plus its included in your black membership. All the equipment is cleaned constantly. Hand sanitizers everywhere plus the clean stations. It is just a great gym. I spend 1.5hrs here and 5 times a week..it needs to be kick butt for me to continue wanting to go. THANK YOU P.F. & STAFF for being awesome:-) read more

I'm a long time member, but didn't go for a long time. Recently I've started attending regularly again and I enjoy it as much as I did before. The staff is friendly and attentive, plenty of equipment for all and a very fair price. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is a pet peeve of mine. I really enjoy the 30 minute express workout, as it gives a good overall workout in a timed, organized manner. My gripe is that I'm generally the only one in there using it for the intended purpose. Now I need to manuever around people and mess up my workout because people insist on using those machines against their intended purpose. There's a sign there stating that that area is only for the "express workout" program and that staff monitors it regularly. I've never seen staff monitor it or ever speak to the people not using the equipment properly. I hope management sees this comment. read more

Just joined. Really liked my first visit. I was looking for a place I could go and just walk in, hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes and walk out. I don't want a hard-sell on a trainer, massages, upgraded package or any type of classes on my first visit. Lots of regular people working out. I felt very comfortable there. read more

Inside it's great. The parking lot is a different story. Dirty and very ghetto. Homeless people all over. Dangerous in my opinion.

I love how clean you guys keep the gym area however, your tanning beds are always beyond dirty! I would suggest putting signs in the rooms telling members it's their responsibility to clean up after they tan! I would also make sure employees are checking between guests as well. My recent visit will probably be my last visit. The lay down bed looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. There were zero paper towels in the trash to suggest it hasn't. I never committed to gyms before, but have been regularly going here for about a year and a half. The staff is friendly and I never feel intimidated or annoyed. Bonus points that I can watch my soap opera while working out. Double bonus points when they play Linkin Park on their channel. It is simple and for normal folk like me, not the "Chads" of the world. My only complaint is a billing issue I had that took longer than I would have liked to get resolved and an incident of another patron trying to come into my room while I was tanning. read more

Staff is very rude. I've had several encounters w different staff members all rude. When I declined the trainers help he proceeded to talk about me to another gym patron. I've been going here for 6 months and now all the sudden they're asking me for a picture. Ok no problem but don't harass me about. I will do it on my own time, this should've been handled when I first signed up. One of the employees proceeded to harass me 3 times in one day about this. Demanding I take a picture while I'm dripping in sweat interrupting my workout. Also this gym is very dirty, I had to complain to the manager about the dust in the place bc it was setting my asthma off. Needless to say I won't be back ever and I'm taking my business to LA Fitness. The employees aren't allowed to talk to you beyond the front desk, which is perfect bc I don't want to be bothered. They are so nice here! The fitness trainer Daryl is great! Clean as always in Planet Fitness, and a great Black Card Zone. They even have THREE hydro therapy beds, my favorite!!! Great for fibromyalgia and general muscle aches, also for after a work out. They never run out of cardio machines even when there's a surge of people, (usually when there's a deal). Every fitness machine you can think of, all new and working. They even have showers hahaha! ***Bring a microfiber dusting cloth and use the cleaning solution for faster and greener wipe downs! Also bring a lock that you like because they only sell combination locks. read more

This location is seriously my fave. This isn't even my home location. They layout of this location was done well. I love the stretching area and that it's equipped with workout stations, balance balls, weight balls and etc. my location has an awkward stretch and free weight area. I'm a 58 year old woman that has wanted to join a gym for quite sometime now but was afraid of the atmosphere of most gyms. This place is PERFECT! My husband and I have been going now for a year and we both have lost several pounds, toned up and feel great. I have felt comfortable there since the day I walked in. I hear the price is very good for a gym, but honestly, I would pay much more just to be able to walk in and not feel uncomfortable. I did get the cheaper membership as I was skepticle, but I will be up-grading. We love it, love it, love it, and thank you Planet Fitness for saving our lives or at least adding a few more years to them. As for the review that states "The whole "non-judgement zone" is kind of dumb considering its a gym and we all judge".... No we don't all judge. New to this gym and this is the first time I used the massage bed. When I went into the room and got undressed, I realized that the person before me had not cleaned the bed and it was NASTY! After I cleaned it, the bed would not come on. I got redressed and went to the front desk, where the same girl was that I signed in with. I interrupted her texting, to tell her that the bed was filthy and it would not come on. Finally she got the bed on after pushing the button repeatedly. Then she turned on her heels and walked out. Guess I made her mad taking her away from her phone! Is it to much to ask that they check the beds after use before they put someone else in the rooms? read more

I find it kinda weird that the only full length mirror is the one by the weights but the staff at this location are very friendly even though I'm usually there very early. I usually just use the bike with my spotify playlist. Boo one really showed us how to use anything and I'm not sure who to ask so it's a good thing I can read and understand picture diagrams. Best gym in town. The free fitness training included with the membership is great and the staff is always ready to help. They have 2 circuit rooms, a 30 minute full body and a 12 min abs room. The stretching area has extra ab machines and room to do body weight exercises as well. For their cardio they have Life Fitbess treadmills, ellipticals, and bike, cybex arc trainers, and matrix stair climbers. They have 2 full rows of selectorized strength equipment, and they are very easy to use. Just check out the instructions on them! The lockers are day use only, so you can't leave your stuff there. They also have showers (with soap!) and changing rooms. My favorite part is what you get with the VIP membership. Behind the front desk they have what's called the "Relaxation Zone". There are hydrotherapy massage beds (arguably my favorite), massage chairs, red light therapy (close 2nd favorite), and tanning if you want it. They also let you bring a friend to work out with the VIP membership as well. I believe they are 24/7 so that's nice for people working odd shifts or night owls, and they always have staff there. Canceled my membership because they don't have bench press or a squat rack. They say they charge on the 17th of every month so I canceled on the 15th. On the 20th I was charged my monthly bill so I called to ask for a refund. They told me I was still charged because it wasn't before the 10th. So I told them I was just going to use the gym for the next month. However because I had already canceled my membership, I wasn't alowed in the gym either. So I was made to pay for an extra month of the membership, but not use it because of my member cancellation. After arguing with the person I called she finally told me she would write it in the notes of my account that I would be allowed to come for the next month. BIG PAIN! read more
