You don't own the equipment until you're completely finished. Sitting on a machine scrolling your phone for several minutes while others wait is rude and inconsiderate. And please--clean what you've touched. Wipe down machines, benches, and mats when you're done. It's basic courtesy and hygiene in a shared space. Gyms are shared spaces. Be aware of your surroundings, be efficient, and respectful of other members' time. A little consideration would go a long way in improving the overall experience here.

They are not only incredibly skilled, but they also take the time to truly connect with the students. Their encouragement, patience, and ability to challenge kids in a positive way have made a huge difference for our family. One thing that really stood out is how welcoming and helpful the students are. As a new student, my 11 year old daughter felt supported right away. The other students were kind, encouraging, and eager to help her learn. Since joining, she's made amazing progress...not just in her jiu-jitsu skills, but in her confidence, too. She carries herself differently, speaks up more, and takes real pride in what she's learning. We're incredibly thankful to be part of this community and can't recommend Gracie Barra enough!

We were then introduced to a sales specialist who wanted to sell us a membership that included one on one training. When we asked for a free trial for a couple days we were told that we could get a couple free days but we needed to sign up for a 3 month membership at 280 dollars every two weeks to unlock the free trial, but we could cancel within 3 days no questions asked. We decided the next day it wasn't for us. When we stopped in we were told not to worry that they would take care of the cancellation and call us later that day to confirm. Three texts later trying to convince us to reconsider the salesperson relented and said that they would handle the cancellation. That night I received a email stating that I would be getting biweekly charges of 280 dollars. The next morning I was informed that I had to come in and personally cancel my membership because he couldn't get it done without me. I went there and he pulled up his screen and after a couple minutes stated that I had been successfully canceled. However there was nothing he could give me in writing. I asked to take a screenshot of his monitor and he allowed me to. I then asked why I had to come in at all since I didn't have to sign anything and he said that they wanted him to have another shot at selling me the membership. Two weeks later and they still have not credited my credit card even though I received a email from corporate that my membership is canceled. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.
