Member BIlling. The billing at the Val Vista Club Gilbert has been screwed up for the past 4 months. The upgrades in their system has lost long term members correct billing information. 1) Members like myself since 2022, have had the same Credit Union Checking Account and Bank Routing information on their Planet Fitness Account with ABC for more than 3 years. 2) This club states that they have been making system upgrades and as a result-- some members information has been lost and even not able to be found on the 17th of each month. 3) Trying to explain to managers or expecting a follow up return call about the billing errors--- Never happens. 4) Credit Union Members generally have One account # for all accounts but also a code that delineates to draw from Checking. ABC can't find this code any more because after this club's upgrades vital Member information was lost. It's been happening for the last 4 Billing Cycles and management fails to listen, follow-up or correct. Dismissive most of the time 5) Members can be seen at desk about double billing, gratuitous late charges due to their inability to locate necessary account information for ABC to process payments 6) While a member since 2022, this billing fiasco is getting old. Gym is super clean , staff is always friendly and helpful and best of all, never too crowded!

We've been coming to this Planet Fitness for a few months now and I purposely delayed writing this review to ensure consistency in my experience. It's been good. The employees are friendly and helpful. The establishment is well maintained and kept clean. The other patrons are generally courteous. Planet Fitness has 'judgment free zone' signs all over the place and that does appear to be the culture. Plenty of machines and a wide variety of options to accommodate almost any need. Where is Rhonda?? Saw a recent review left by someone saying the staff is now "rudderless" and I agree. The former manager Rhonda was super friendly and kept the gym in great working order. She really made the place great! However now it seems she is no longer working here, and its clear she was the one who made this place great. Now the A/C is kept on at a minimum and its borderline hot/swampy in here. Teenagers run around with sandals and sometimes no shoes on. The gym floor isnt nearly as maintained and isnt as clean. Equipment is missing or just left everywhere on the floor. Locker rooms/bathrooms are becoming nastier and are missing trashcans. The only water fountain filter has been expired for well over a month. Its still a nice gym, its just now missing all the things that made it a great gym. Bring back Rhonda! read more

Such an underrated gym! Ronda is the best and always helps me out. They are always clean and helpful. I also enjoy the games that they do like this Easter egg one. 5 out of 5 Stars, would recommend to anyone! read more

Brand new gym and well stocked with great equipment. I highly reccomend this facility.

The gym is clean, but staff seems rudderless now. TV sound has been off for weeks and know one seems to know how to fix it. One of the lounger massage tables have been down for weeks as well. Who's managing the customer experience. read more

Joined this past weekend because our old gym let people with only spit guards use the gym and it felt simply commercial. I felt intimidated as I'm not a super jock......at least not any more. :) This location of Planet Fitness is wonderful!! It is immaculately clean with cleaning stations throughout. The machines look brand new. The AP has short videos on what seems to be most or all of the machines .... even a UPC symbol on each machine that you can use with your smartphone so you can get to the instructional video quickly. I don't feel intimidated at all and have started to use the machines after my elliptical workout. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this location enough!! read more

Beautiful brand new facility conveniently located off of Val Vista and Queen Creek Road. Plenty of parking outside. Only met two staff members this afternoon, both were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They offer military discounts for veterans and spouses too (no annual fee or sign up fees). Brand new hydro massage beds and loungers. There are private changing rooms inside of the locker rooms and because this place is brand new all the equipment and bathrooms are super clean. Subway and nail salon in the same shopping center for convenience =). read more

What happened to this place?! Like the last month has been awful, Rhonda isn't there to make stuff run smooth. It's a bunch of teens running it. The roof has been leaking for a few weeks over the ellipticals - what the heck. Twice this week it's been 116 degrees plus and they leave the front doors wide open and it's hotter than hades in here. I remember back when it wasn't hot out, and it was almost chilly inside. I can't workout like this - I mean it was good for what it's for essential workout equipment and a cheap membership but I can afford a better experience than this .... Just got a pass at another gym and will cancel my membership soon. Too bad because it was awesome when I first moved here - not crowded, come in and get your workout done in peace, no waits. So happy I switched gyms & came here. Friendly staff, nice equipment & not overly crowded.

Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome place to work out but some of the staff have no respect for the members. Almost every single time I come in, and I am there minimum 3 times a week, half, if not all, the staff are sitting on the counters, face deep in their cell phones. The assistant manager Rhonda has been a great help with any assistance I need. She is super friendly and greets everyone coming in. The tall, long, straight, blonde haired girl can't even get off the counter to help a member, she's too busy on her phone. This is a bad look for the gym. I tried to talk with the manager but he evidently was in a hurry to leave so he gave me a card and told me to email him. I would give 5 stars but staff needs a good talking to about priorities. read more

Definitely one of my new favorite gyms. All brand new high quality equipment. Even the locker rooms are kept to a very high standard. The staff is always doing an excellent job cleaning. All of the black card amenities are extremely well kept as well. I have yet to come across a better planet fitness than this one. This location is very underrated and never really that busy. Joined about a month ago, leaving Eos going there for 2 years. Eos: crowded, compounded by often waiting to use equipment as patrons sat on the machines while talking on there cell phones, choosing music, or resting 5 minutes between sets. Planet Fitness: NEVER crowded, Never wait for equipment, and Super Clean. Also, the price is better and they have everything I could need: machines, free weights, cardio, and more. Also, while I am glad that young people (mid- to late teens) had begun working out with weights, at Eos they often spent far more time socializing at their machine/weight/equipment than using it, which tied up the machine far longer than necessary. For those who care, my Eos gym did not care if patrons wore a mask. At this time it is mandatory at Planet Fitness, but given the lack of crowds always seen at EOS, Planet Fitness makes it easy to be much more than 6' away from each other without even trying to social distance. read more
