LOVE love love this gym. I've had a planet fitness membership for a few years and have changed locations (due to moving) and this one is by far my favorite. The entire staff is always so nice and friendly. The cleanliness is top tier and it's never overly packed. Even on busier days, there are plenty of different areas to do a full workout without waiting around for a machine or weights. I have a package that includes tanning and the beds are great and there are plenty of them. I really appreciate how hard the staff works to maintain this gym. They are constantly cleaning and making sure it's an enjoyable space for everyone! read more

Went to inquire about a membership, when I asked for a tour I was told I couldn't have one unless I became a member. I asked would he purchase a car without looking or test driving it, he said NO! Another employee told me to fill out a liability form and I could have a tour. I went back to counter to tell her I completed form, she responded " now what" I politely told her I was done and she said " go look around". No one gave me a tour, I took a quick look and walked out. Female was rude, I could tell male was new. It did look clean but I did have questions. read more

Love this gym. The staff is great, machines and weight area is clean and organized most of the time, and doesn't get too crowded which is always a plus. The only complaint I'd have is about the water fountain. Not sure if maybe it just needs a new filter but the water has a funky smell and taste. Definitely recommend bringing enough water for yourself or buying a beverage from the front. read more

Awesome gym ! Love this location! The staff has always been really nice and helpful, same as the main trainer. I've been to a few different locations but this one, they are always staying on top of the cleaning and sanitation and it's so nice to see a staff that seems like they all enjoy working together. I've been a member since they first opened in this area. They have some staff that have been around for a while and it's great that they know how to run this location. I would like to see an upgrade to this gym in the future. Overall 10/10 gym ! I know it has its rep but I think everyone would enjoy planet fitness if they gave it a shot read more

I have been a member since February 16, 2017 and have been coming about 5 times a week. I have been on hiatus since the pandemic closed the gym, returning on January 5 with extreme caution initially. Now I am very comfortable going back there. Social "fitnessing" protocols are observed and their staff is constantly cleaning and disinfecting the equipments. There are a lot of "cleaning stations" with paper towel, disinfectant spray and hand sanitizers in strategic locations in the gym. I like this gym. for the basic membership fee, I am able to use a lof of their several equipments. Who needs expensive clubs who offer extra services like sauna, pool, basketball court, wall climbing, sauna and other things I don't even use? This place may not have the brand new feel like the one in Bolingbrook, but it is very clean. Staff is courteous and friendly as well. read more

On 7/19/2024 I went to the Planet Fitness on Voyager to renew my membership. While filling out registration on the tablet I got to the REQUIRED "read and understand " section for liability. When I touched the icon,a blank page appeared. I showed it to the very nice young lady behind the counter and she tried to access the document. Once again a blank screen. After several attempts with no success the manager was called. He tried and failed. The manager then pulled out an old contract out of a drawer and said "most of the information on liability was in the contract ". I said that the contract was not the document I was REQUIRED to read. Before I could offer some kind of compromise we both could agree on the manager said "then this is not the gym for you ". I have been a member of this gym since the pandemic and I am very disappointed that I was dismissed without an attempt to come to some kind of agreement. It must be hard to keep members with an unprofessional attitude like that. read more

I work out every morning at 3 am and every time I go in the staff is always cleaning up and making sure the equipment is sanitized . I love the atmosphere and everything . I cannot complain. read more

One of their managers called me a nigger so I wish I could give them a negative review. To add insult to injury, even after I cancelled my membership according to their policy they have continued to charge my account and refuse to stop. Legal action is now being pursued. I was at this location with a guest, when Two other members approached us, calling us "fat b*tches" because apparently we "stole" the machine from them. I told your manager Kristi, and the girls followed us to the desk and proceeded to threaten to beat me up outside right in front of the manager. Kristi then let them leave before getting their names and told me she didn't know what to do cause she never had this happen. Then told me she was hard of hearing and that since she wasn't around for the first initial insult there's nothing she can do. She gave me some email and they offered me 2 free months but that's BS. Because I am now too scared to even go back to planet fitness. read more

Unfortunately my last visit resulted with some one breaking my lock in the locker room. Didn't steal anything all I brought was a old gym bag, change of clothes, and soap. I always come in to use the tanning bed, today i came in for a stand up full time. The lady even verified with me my total minutes which was 9. I get out of the tanning bed at 5min and this lady is telling me she never set it to 5 and refuses to let me get my full time. Beware of the older lady with platinum blonde hair. Just moved to the area and was excited to finally be able to join a Planet Fitness. Went two weeks ago with my 15 yo sister (I'm 30) and joined - getting a black card so I could bring said sister with me to the gym. We motivate each other and are both working on getting fit and healthy. Didn't get a tour when I signed up. Wasn't told the guest rules. Filled out the form on the iPad, got my t-shirt, tag, and picture taken and was sent my way. Went four days that week with her as my guest without a problem. Went three days last week with her as my guest without a problem. Head over there today and the manager (someone I didn't even know existed as I never saw him before today) stopped us AFTER the girl checked us in and told us to enjoy our workout. Suddenly my sister couldn't be my guest anymore since she wasn't my kid. Even though my parents have me listed as her guardian when they aren't around and I can make major medical decisions in their absence I can't apparently take her to Planet Fitness to work out on a stationary bike for 30 minutes. So I cancelled my black card right then and there and paid the cancellation fee. Manager didn't seem to care - just kept asking if I got a tour. Obviously not. Girl next to me was cancelling her membership as well. Can't help but feel like I dodged a bullet. In all, I gave the place one star because before tonight the staff was very nice and the equipment wasn't bad (for the cost). However for a place that markets themselves as a judgement free place I felt quite judged and not welcome there tonight by that manager. read more

Typical gym like any other planet fitness. Not super crowded. Has two stair masters. Huge negative is the wifi. It's so slow it's basically non-existent. Most of the time I can't even connect (tried from multiple devices). They shouldn't advertise wifi if it's this bad. Another thing is, the water from the water fountain is always warm and they still don't have the attachment above the water fountain for water bottles. read more

I really like going here. There's a nice mix of different sizes of people here. If you're overweight you shouldnt feel uncomfortable. For only $10/mo or $20/mo and use the massage chairs, hydro massage beds, red light therapy, bring a guest for free it's great. As a Black Card Member ($20/mo) the water bottles are 1/2 price so only $1. There are headphones available if, like me, yours breaks while you're working out. The headphones are $5&$7, combination locks for the lockers are $5. Muscle Milk I think is $4?? There's also Gatorade available but I'm not sure of the price. There's free WiFi so bring your IPad or use your iPhone if you have good eyesight and you can watch your Amazon Prime movies, Netflix, etc.. Kids 13 & up are allowed to go with an adult. On top of that they're open 24 hours so you can come and go whenever you'd like. What I don't like - there are trainers here, but when I've seen them they're already helping someone. They're helping that person only. The machines are great but if you don't know what you're doing, even though there are pictures posted with instructions it's not always clear how to adjust a machine or what exactly you're supposed to be doing. The bicycle machines clear out and start over if after you put in your info (weight, time, age etc) if you don't start immediately. So if you adjust your iPod or earphones or take a drink of water, you have to start again. The massage chairs are getting old! Barely any padding left and even on the lowest setting these chairs are painful! There are the same chairs at the nail salon and those chairs are WAY more comfortable. The hydro massage tables are great, but don't bother trying to adjust the massage area to only your back or shoulders. The touchscreen pads are worm out and it's nearly impossible to change anything. Idk if you're supposed to be able to play games or play the music. It doesn't work. There are 3 or 4 showers. Ones been out of order for awhile now. The 3 regular showers have somewhat clear glass doors. No privacy. There's a handicap shower with a shower curtain with more privacy but the handle to hold on to is hanging from the wall. The changing stalls are on the other side if the room so I guess you're supposed to walk naked to go to them, leaving your clothing abs other stuff in there unlocked. The tile floor is EXTREMELY slippery when it's wet. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Tanning beds- the music they're playing in there is just bizare. Can't be changed to a different channel or music. There's a big sign that says 20% discount off New Balance for Black Card members. The sign says to go to the desk to ask about it. Idk why it says to do that because the desk people just tell you to go to planetfitness.com/nb. But when I went there I keep getting the message my accts not in good standing or wrong id. On the planet fitness website THERES NO PLACE TO CONTACT THEM UNDER THE "contact us" only call your local club. I called my franchise and they're clueless. They said to email info@planetfitness.com. Very disappointed lately. It's very frustrating when serious people go to work out and you have people taking up machines by texting, taking selfies, sitting on Facebook etc and not letting the other people use them. Sometimes these machines are taken up 20 to 30 minutes for nonsense with people just sitting there. You have about 7 to 8 young kids standing at the check in area doing nothing. Maybe they should walk around and monitor this. Also don't understand why they have a million treadmills and elliptical machines and 4 stand up bikes. Some people have foot issues and can't pound on their feet so need the bikes. Ready to transfer back to the smaller gym. read more

I can't believe what a great find this gym was. For $10 a month, you get unlimited visits to this location, which is open and staffed 24/7, unlimited physical education classes and workout program customization, which can be very helpful when you're not sure how to achieve your goals at the gym. Also, with their "Judgment-Free Zone" and "No Lunk" slogans, makes this a perfect place to get in shape even if you haven't been to a gym in a long time (or ever). The staff is also great, and the facility is constantly kept in perfect condition. The gigantic ceiling fans (I've never seen anything like them!) are always moving air so the environment is comfortable no matter what area you're working out in. ***UPDATE*** I recently upgraded my membership to the "PF Black Card" for $19.99 a month and the additional benefits make the experience even better! read more

Poor business practices. Don't bother stopping in for cancellation of your membership. They'll just lose the form and then blame you for it.

I used to love hating on Planet Fitness almost as much as I enjoy hating on the Miami Heat. Then I moved to Illinois. And I couldn't use my University gym for $10 a month any more. So I did what any self-respect lacking graduate who moves back home in shameful defeat does; I signed up for a membership with PF. And I have to say, I do not regret it. Their hours are great (I.E. Always Open), the equipment is fairly new, and rarely out of service, the staff is friendly and talkative, and the benches and weights are usually clean and organized. While I initially began going here just to run in the winter, my lousy knees eventually forced me to spend more time utilizing those very machines and benches. Overall, PF isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. However, as somewhat of a gym rat myself, I do think it is ridiculous how much time and effort they spend making fun of people who take their training and workouts seriously. I get the want to create an inclusive place for everyone to work out. I just hope they see the irony in the means they've chosen to pursue that end. read more

I received my membership today, and this woman worker told me that I was only able to tan for 2 minutes until my 11th session. However, 4 of my friends who also have memberships at Planet Fitness told me that this had never happened to them and they were never told they had to do this. I am considering cancelling my membership already because I tan all the time and they are telling me that I can only go 2 minutes? 2 minutes does nothing at all I should have been able to go the full time. I doubt it will be returning to this location. read more

With the uprise of the pandemic, I was hesitant to go back to the gym, but found that the precautions and parameters at Planet had made it a little more comfortable. Anthony gave me a tour of the facility and ran though the rules for each attendee (like wearing a mask, socially distancing, keeping a limited capacity, and persistent cleaning of the equipment). He was really helpful and made making the decision to go back a lot easier. Workers are always cleaning up and enforcing the rules too, which is a plus. read more

I was refused access to the gym because the assistant manager Bob Smith said he couldn't read my signature. I have had surgeries on both of my arms, suffer from cubital tunnel syndrome and the onset of carpal tunnel as well. I would post no stars if I could, because apparently the Planet Fitness motto of "judgment free zone" doesn't apply to those with physical disabilities! I just joined this gym the other day, and it has been one of the best decisions I've made this year. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and friendly. The facility is always clean. There is a huge variety of equipment that is easy to navigate. I got the black card package and for $20 a month I get free personal training, a tanning package, access to all the massage equipment, access to any Planet Fitness gym nationwide, and red light therapy. Did I mention its open 24 hours a day!? Perfect for someone with a busy schedule. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a gym membership. read more

One of my very favorite places. Clean and large and tons of great equipment to chose from. 2 circuit areas and 1 large stretching area. I especially love the ARC machines & ab machines. There advertising is deceptive! The customer service is horrible. The people working there lie to the customers, openly present themselves as managers when they aren't (especially on the phone). No conflict resolution or articulation skills. They advertise 10 a month, but charge an annual fee two months after start up fee (so if you cancel membership your stuck and out of luck). they have no consideration for membership concerns. Their customer service number does not work most of the time. Not worth it (the 2 stars is for cleanliness). read more
