I've been a Planet Fitness member for years. When I visit my dad in Fallbrook, I always drive to the Temecula location to work out. On Wednesday, June 18, I brought my wife with me for the first time. This was the only time I've ever used my Black Card guest privilege. She wasn't going to work out, so I asked the front desk if anyone was on the hydro loungers. The employee, who turned out to be the manager, told us to use lounger #1. I walked her back, showed her how to use it, and went to start my workout. The lounge area was completely empty. After her session, she stayed seated to respond to a few texts. The manager came back, told her she wasn't allowed to use the lounger, and escorted her out of the building. I didn't see it happen. I was 15 minutes into my workout when she texted me that she had been kicked out. After I finished, I asked the manager why he handled it that way. His response was that it's "policy." I looked it up and confirmed that technically he was right. But I've been to plenty of Planet Fitness locations and this has never been enforced like that. Not once. Even the teenagers they let in for free during the summer are allowed to use the loungers. No one cares. This manager clearly did. And instead of handling it with a simple, polite conversation, he chose to treat my wife like she was breaking some serious rule. If she had been thinking about becoming a member, that idea is gone now. You can have all the policies you want, but if you treat people like that, they won't come back. I won't either. Temecula is the worst-run Planet Fitness I've ever stepped into. read more

Just moved near the area (I'm actually San Diego Co line, this location & Escondido are the closest) I like this a lot better than Moreno Valley-(it was a nice gym in a great location), but honestly it was some members that went there had no gym etiquette or people skills. Here people do their thing & move on, not sit there playing with their phones or monopolizing weight machines upfront instead of using the 30 minute rooms (marked in yellow) this was always the case in MoVal. I love the set up here, much easier to find machines. Only thing I noticed is this locations weight machines don't have the timers like the newer locations but not a dealbreaker at all. Parking's a little challenging unless you get there really early. read more

I've started going to this location and so far have felt that I made a good choice joining Planet Fitness. It's located in the CVS shopping center by Chaparral High School. There are plenty of cardio machines (elliptical, treadmills, bikes, recumbent bikes) and various weight machines. Don't know how to use certain weight machines? Each one has a QR code where a video will pop up and show you how to use it! Everything is nice in this gym from the layout and how things seem to be well maintained with plenty of televisions above. There are cleaning stations all around the gym also providing paper towels and a cleaning spray to wipe off the equipment you use. There are two types of memberships where you can have the regular or the black card. Black card gets you into being able to workout at any PF facility and access to tanning, massage chairs, and hydromassage chairs. Everyone I've talked to briefly has been pretty nice and am always greeted as I enter. Any questions I've had, they've been really helpful and pleasant. Parking in this shopping center can be a bit of a challenge at times esp since there are some designated spots from 10 am-8 pm where gym members are not allowed to park in. I haven't had too much trouble but might be more difficult during peak hours. read more

I froze my account earlier this week- today I get a call from their billing service stating I was late again- how is this possible I thought- I spoke to Savana who assured me it was a mistake and she had froze my account so nothing was due. Later today I got this email stating the late fee was still applied - when I froze the account she never stated that or recommended I update my account info. Totally unethical and unprofessional that their staff isn't aware of policy and procedure. It's not about the money- it's principle of the matter. Simply incompetence at its best-tomorrow I call to cancel and I'm going to close all my accounts associated with them.. people watch you billing statements- this company is slimy. read more

Walked in off the street to join. I asked if there were any deals and she said no. I joined anyways and ran Inti my daughter who joined a week before and got a deal for all PF gyms for $20 a week before. Disappointed because this one the parking is absolute garbage and you're lucky if you can find a space at the back of the parking lot. They also just remodeled and the two leg machines in the back hit each other because they are so close. I will give it a month but might cancel and wait until January when they have a better deal. read more

Only suggestion is enforcing the phone policy. 9/10 times someone's at a machine, they're looking at their phones for 10 minutes and working out for 1-2 minutes. This facility has the worst customer service when it comes to managers. After being a member for 2+ years I had to put my account on hold and was told by one of the sweetest employees I was good to go on the 7th of Feb. Well I got charged for services by the 17th of the month. I contacted the manager Luis who said he would take the steps to get me refunded. That was 2 weeks ago. I called no response, called again no response. I ended up calling the Murrieta location and spoke with Gabriel who helped me to cancel my account because at this point if you're going to continue to charge me for a service I don't use and properly put on hold I might as well get rid of the membership. You lost me. Gabriel told me Luis would give me a call back.. Welp, still no call back. I don't know what kind of games this business plays, but I work hard for my money and I don't care if it's 10 dollars or two dollars it's mine and I want it back. Im also aware that the managers at the Temecula location do not appreciate their employees. They never know if they gotten a good review, do not get praised, get stuck with bad schedules and are simply told what to do rather than management listening to their suggestions. The gym is old, doesn't have newer equipment, is not 24 hours, displays commercials of 24/7 but are not, and their black card is not worth it with the massage chairs and tanning booths. What a waste. I don't recommend joining this facility at all. To my people who always had a good word, good conversations and a smile on their faces~ you know who you are.. My 11 to 6 crew. :) you are appreciated more than management will ever tell you. read more

This is one of my three or four favorite gyms I've worked out at, and I've been to both the Bev Francis Gym in New York and the "Mecca" in Santa Monica. The staff, particularly Savannah and Naomi, are the nicest, friendliest people you could ever meet. There's enough equipment even for peak hours so that you're not stuck waiting, and all the equipment is new. Unless you have a real need for barbells, this gym has everything you could want, including a nice functional training area and ergometers (rowing machines) and an assortment of other cardio equipment. On the lifting side, they even have a leg press machine (that's plate-loaded) and three or four Smith machines, so you can still get plenty of heavy work in, including for your legs. Dumbbells go up to 75 lbs. The locker room, toilets, and showers are super clean, and I see them come in every two hours or so to give them a mop or wipe down. $15 a month, can't beat it! read more

I came in to look at the gym one morning and I was greeted by a taller woman and I asked for a tour and she had me some some ipad and just told me about the gym from the stool she was sitting on. I left after she finished talking and thought i'd try again in a week or two. when I came back the second time I was greeted by Andrew and the general manager of that gym. when I asked for a tour Mr. Andrew jumped to it and although I had to sign the ipad again, he walked me around the gym asking me all kinds of questions and touching every base about what I might need and what he can offer. the only reason i'm giving 5 stars is because the excellent turn around I got from Mr. Andrew. Simply amazing. I am in town for a wedding and dropped in for a workout. I called ahead of time to see if I can get a day pass and about their hours. The staff member on the phone was very professional and courteous. The gym was spotless, organized, and well lit. There was a huge selection of treadmills, ellipticals, and other cardio machines. For weights, there were a lot of machines, smith machines, pre-loaded barbells, and dumbbells up to 75lb. There was also a small group class area for circuits and a stretching/abs area in the back. I was most impressed at how well kept the gym atmosphere was. The weights were all in their proper place and every member was respectful of each other and the space. This is an extremely rare trait in a gym. I was in disbelief. read more

I love how clean the gym is and that it's 5 minutes from my house. I've been going here for a little over a year now. Karla is always right up front to greet me by name every morning when I get there. I'm a DJ and as soon as I walk through the door she'll say "Everyone, Israel has entered the building" Then do the DJ horn sound, which makes me laugh. Bottleneck is always at the top. The facility has a patron texting issue while occupying machines for prolonged periods of time. The staff takes no action and Corp Customer Service on Yelp passes it back "talk to facility mgmt". Everyone points you in a different direction so that the issue is never resolved. why? Clean facility, membership is low and the staff are nice. The issue is cell texting. Too many patrons sit on machines for lengthy periods of time, text, text and text then spend 25% of the time actually using the machine. If you ask to work in they become contentious. The issue is problematic throughout the facility and the staff does nothing to correct the issue. so if you like doing nothing for extended periods of time waiting to use a machine or just not use that machine for that day then this is your place. If you like to sit on machines and text for 80-90% of the time you have the machine then this is your gym. read more

Local gym that meets all your basic fitness goals. Not crowded, social distanced and clean. Staff are friendly and plenty of parking out front. Currently not open 24 hours like some others so took off a star for that. No classes or sauna so one less star for me but for some that's not a must. This is a great gym. My family and I recently signed up for Active Fit and Direct. Other gyms have been rude about it. I guess it hurts their numbers when they sign people up. We decided to try this Planet Fitness after trying other gyms. This was by far the BEST gym. Not only was it clean but the customer service was top notch and beyond this world. Savannah was the nicest person ever! She was so helpful and welcoming. She explained everything so well, that we didn't have any questions. When we went back she even remembered us as well. There were also two other people at the counter who were just as nice, including a "new trainee." After experiencing some bad customer service and some not so clean gyms, we really appreciate this one. read more

Yesterday, I wrote a review concerning the planet fitness located in Murrieta concerning the harassment of the manager at that location. the review is listed below. the location in Temecula called and terminated my membership because of what happened yesterday with the manager. She didn't inform me why , she just said I was terminated. then proceeded to say I had violated some procedures there. i agree I became incensed at the manager due to her inability to at least consider my questions as to why she was singling me out And asking for my card every time I asked for services as if to seaway me from asking for help at the front desk... so, basically, the manager had me terminated at the the other locations as well! ok, off to a better planet fitness in another area they do not own!!! I've been to the PF in Murrieta and here in Temecula. By far, the Murrieta gym is superior. The Temecula gym is in a shady shopping center riddled with homeless begging for change and sleeping on the sidewalks. As for the gym itself, it's moderately busy in the evenings as expected. The 30min circuit area is constantly being used by people not doing the circuit, but just performing sets on the machines when others are trying to do the circuit. There are even signs that state that the area is for the circuit only and it's monitored by staff continuously. Yeah..... The staff sit at the front desk on their phones. Barely pull themselves away and to scan your membership card. Nothing is monitored. I've yet to see the staff walk around the gym to check paper towel rolls and sanitary spray. TLDR: This gym sucks and so does it's staff. Use another PF or a different gym. read more

The gym is very clean. We were greeted by a nice and friendly young lady. We're out of town, visiting, so this isn't our primary gym, but we have the black card. The man behind the counter scanned the primary pass and then asked a question about guest pass phone number and if we had set up a guest profile and then got visibly frustrated when we gave him the phone number and tried to get him to scan the guest pass. He refused to scan the guest pass and told us just to go in and enjoy our workout. I know things are apparently different due to covid, but this is the first questionably rude interaction we've ever had at a PF location. Kindness is an easy thing the convey regardless of any situation. We had the guest profile and pass completed, in case anyone is wondering. Likely won't revisit the Temecula location in the future. read more
