This is not a bad gym, but there are some things that could definitely be improved! Several machines are broken for at least east the last two weeks, if not longer! They could use at least two more incline benches in front of the free weights area. They could do a better job vacuuming the floor in the workout areas because there are gobs of hair and pieces of trash that are floating around. Locker rooms are abysmal with only two benches available for the locker room at least 5 feet away from each side. The tall lockers when you open them up, you cannot even see what's on the top shelf, which is probably 7 feet tall. All of the cubbies across from the showers could stand to have a locking latch on their doors! So nobody could easily go in there while you were showering and grab your stuff. There's not even a chair or hooks in some of those partitions. I'm kind of stuck using this facility while I'm in town. I've been to some better and even some that have been worse! I've been a member at this PF location for only a week or two at this point and have been so impressed by the staff, the attention to all things Covid cleanliness, and to be honest - the cheapness of it all. $10 per month is very much in budget after having to cancel a boutique style membership I had nearby. I know, I know - "why are you here during a global pandemic?! MUCH JUDGEMENT." I needed to head back to the gym for my mental and physical health, and, after a lot of research, this PF location has covered their bases on safety and then some. All members and staff are diligent about masking, yes - even on treadmills and cardio equipment. There are hand sanitizing stations every couple of feet, equipment sanitizing stations everywhere, and the ability to social distance easily because, to be frank, there's nobody there. I was sold on PF based on this and their crowd-o-meter that allows you to go in to the app and see how busy the gym is at any given time. I go at off peak times only and have never seen another person on a treadmill besides myself, along with the fact that 70% of the treadmills are blocked off. All this to say, I love being back in the gym and am happy to have found a place that feels so safe. I'll update this review once the Coronatimes are behind us (so maybe never? Hahahahahahahah *sobbing*) but in the meantime will enjoy this basically empty location that feels sad (no amount of punny social fitnessing word play can make working out during a pandemic feel normal) but safe. Great location in Baytowne with everything you need post-gym right nearby. Also they gave me a shirt even though I didn't sign up for the more expensive membership and for that I just want to say: thank you. I freakin' love shirts. read more

For a cheap fitness place that has enough treadmills, ellipticals and stair type cardio machines, it's not bad for the price. The problem is they don't maintain their equipment like they should. Loose bolts on support pads for different muscle group cable machines and noisy treadmills that sound like the belt is about to come off, is actually a really big concern. They seem to not do any sort of periodic maintenance checks on their equipment or if they do, it's most certainly not weekly or, I bet not even monthly, which is a real concern when dealing with fitness equipment. The main PF I use right now is in Henrietta. Oh and please wear your shower shoes in the shower if you choose to do so at ANY PF! Being from the Navy after two different tours on two different ships, I know what to spot when it comes to cleanliness for showers. Honestly anyone can see it if you know what to look for. Drain flies all over, carcasses of drain flies stuck to ceilings and shower stall walls, dirty curtains that aren't ever physically scrubbed, bad soap scum build up in the shower stalls all over... on so on. I understand it's mainly kids who work here, but maintenance of both fitness equipment and cleanliness are the top two things for any gym. You don't want your customers to get hurt or catch a disease from a simple shower. Clean your gym... not just vacuum and take the trash out... seriously deep clean it at least more than what is already done, if ever... read more

Even though I'm a Black Card member, the employees at the Webster location ask you to fill out a paper sheet, they said because this location is "privately owned". The immediate impression is they're trying to discourage your from going there. This is harassment, pure and simple, and I'm going straight to corporate with it. In addition, my name and email address are personal data that I don't want exposed to the public. It creates risk that the people who fill out the sheet could attract unwanted attention. Two stars are for the mostly functioning equipment and the low price. The people at the front desk do not acknowledge you when you walk in or out or even if you're standing there. They just talk to each other and ignore you. Never seen any one of them working in any capacity--not wiping down equipment or nothing. The "crowdometer" on the app always reads the same level even though it gets packed in the morning, literally never seen open free weight space since I've been there in over 6 months. Probably because the people at the front are responsible for updating that and they don't. There are so many people who would be grateful for a job and a paycheck. I was wholly and unimpressed by this Planet Fitness location. Though the staff were friendly, all of the machines that I tried were broken. I attempted to start my workout on four separate standing bikes; all were malfunctioning and would not properly run on the highest setting. My workout companion also reported that his elliptical wouldn't work on its whopping five highest settings. We were left wondering if the staff and managers here take any pride in the experience they provide for their members! read more

I have had a membership with the Planet Fitness in Webster for at least 4 years. Recently, I returned from school out of state and resumed working out at PF in Webster. I was not aware that Webster PF had cut their hours to 11pm - no heads up in my email, nor anywhere else. One evening one of the workers turned the lights out on me as I was finishing up dressing. Most recently, (middle of the week) I was in the shower and the same worker came in and announced the gym was closed. Surprised, I told her I thought it was open 24 hours. As I hurried to finish - she came back in and threatened to call the police on me which she did while I was rinsing off --just stood there on her phone and was describing me to (the police dept.). I got dressed and left the locker room to find two police officers coming towards me addressing me by name. They told me I could be arrested for trespassing. Is this your protocol in handling such a situation, do you even bother to screen your employees on professional conduct - or even if they have ANY sense whatsoever ? read more

Love it. I'm from S Texas. Y'all are remont using are phones. They make me write where I'm from every time. Why? No other location does this. There's a few staff members that go out of there way to do so. This is world-wide I'm visiting for work. If this continues to happen I will go to corporate. Regardless of franchise. It's out of line. I just joined PF Webster and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I opted for the $10 per month no commitment plan and it is perfect for me. The gym doesn't seem too crowded even in the morning before most normal work hours. It is a very clean facility and definitely a judgement free zone, which I like. They have lots of equipment and there is something for everyone. The location has a big parking lot and is open 24 hours! read more

For the price, it's hard to complain at all. Being a member is here is a great value; it's nearly always open, it's clean, and it's cheap. It's a cardio lovers dream - seemingly eternal rows of treadmills and ellipticals. This location has some more useful weight training machines than another Rochester location I've been to. There is a free-weight area, it can get pretty clogged up during busy times, it's not the biggest. There's no bar/rack setups for benching/squatting/lifting - this is where Planet Fitness lacks. There are 3 Smith Machines that "get the job done", but it's not the same a rack setup. Again, the 3 Smiths can get clogged up during busy times. Employees are always friendly and take good care of the place. Overall, it's cheap, adequate, and a good value - keeps me coming back. read more

I've been going to this gym for about 4 years now, and that's for good reason. The staff is always helpful and polite, the equipment is well kept, and the facility is very clean. No other gym I've looked at cares about it's clients more than this one, and that's a major reason why I choose to keep my business there. So far our least favorite Planet Fitness location in the area. The machines are very old and outdated, and there are no fans so it is VERY warm inside-we were incredibly uncomfortable. Seems like the owner was just trying to cut corners. They also make you take an extra step of signing in if it's not your home club-which none of the others have made us do-and while only a minor annoyance, didn't add to our less then pleasant experience. We'll probably avoid this location in the future if possible. read more

I have visited many of the other Planet Fitnesses in the area and this one is definitely the best. Why? - Newer equipment (e.g. weights, cardio, and TRX training station) - WiFi - Welcoming environment - Good lighting - Spacious and Clean I hope this franchise owner considers opening a location in Brighton. read more

This is a very good gym for multiple reasons: ( some minus points later) 1) plenty of equipment and toy always find some available 2) plenty variety of the workout options, machines, weights aerobic, 30 min circuit, .. , .. 3) clean 4) good staff, friendly and even with the large number of customers, most remember your name 5) good shower facilities Some minus: 1) In winter some of the customers come in and don't change their shoes before using the equipment, which damages machines - mainly bikes. However, I have not seen a single place yet that is able to control this bad behavior. So, this is really more a request to users than a critique of the facility. Please, bring gym shoes and change them inside, don't walk through salt before you step on machines. 2) i would like to see better stretching options: rails/ bars at different height read more

Pretty happy with Planet Fitness. We liked the location, the facility, the hours, etc. Recently had a little problem with a rule interpretation, but it was quickly handled and we are enjoying our membership again.
