Incredible place. Frankie greeted my son and I as if we were already regulars and he guided our order to a Sicilian and grandma of vodka sauce. Both were outasite. The Sicilian was airy crust but definitely crunchy at the bottom and the granma was like a thin crust Sicilian. Love this place and Frankie is super nice guy. read more

The pizza is very delicious and the prices are affordable. The parking is not so great. They have been at their location for several years. They will deliver the pizza. They have plenty of toppings and some cool sports celebrities on the wall. They sell plenty of beverages, and they take cash and credit cards. The Sicilian slice is divine. Overpriced, thin, small slices!!! In addition this place doesn't have any vibe it's a tiny room on the top of a hill with no parking lot. Forgot to mention they only accept cash which is unacceptable especially in today's world. I burned the roof of my mouth!!!! Because....the pizza smelled so good and after taking a bite I just started inhaling it, as if I never ate before. Today was my first time ordering from this place, we are new to Greenwich and the place we ordered from before is now closed. Who knows!? I ordered a Sicilian with onion and mushroom and a regular pie 1/2 peperoni. We ate so fast I forgot to take a picture. The Sicilian was DELICIOUS!!!! The bottom had a nice crispiness to it, but not burned. The kids had the pizza and both of them said the flavor was great but pizza was a bit too greasy. I will definitely return for the Sicilian, and start trying out other options. By the way this is a traditional pizza joint NYC style where you grab a slice have a seat, eat and go. Mmmmm! Good! We stopped in in our way up to Boston. Easy exit off the highway. Parking was a little tricky, pulling off the side of the road - on a slight curve. We had a simple cheese pizza with sausage. Nice crispy crust. Fresh cheese and sauce. Sausage slices. Very tasty! Maybe 5 tables. Neighbor type spot. Regulars got hugs! Owner was excited about the Frankie Vodak thin crust. Thinking we will have to stop on our way back from Boston to try it. Look for another review! read more

I grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and have been coming here forever and with out a doubt their Sicilian slice is one of my favorite food items of all time. The crust is crunchy and light and they cook the cheese at that perfect temp where it's stringy and doesn't slide off but not hot enough to burn the roof of your mouth. My family has been going here since it opened in the 70s. It's such a cozy spot and everyone is so friendly. The pizza is consistently awesome. I think it's 100% the best pizza in Greenwich. I work in an ambulance in NYC. We are working in the area, my partner and I decided to get pizza. First thing is there's no signs saying cash only. The guys waited until the food was finished to say that no card is allowed. While the food is being made they didn't use gloves. And usually I don't make a sense or mention it to a worker I just walk away. But being that I was working I let it slide, however, after deciding to use the atm ($3 fee), I gave the guy a twenty and he didn't give me any change! He said my partners food was $8.50 and then he said mine was $10.00. And I stood around waiting for my change and he just said yea it's $20 together and I said the numbers don't add up. Because we had an emergency call, my partner I decided to just leave and let it go. The fact that this behavior is coming from a small business is crazy. Cash only places are bad when they don't tell you beforehand. Especially because there's a chase bank around the corner. And trying to finesse on not giving change is wrong!!! Everyone works hard for their money, including this business, so if my change is $1.50, you give the person $1.50. read more

Fantastic Place For A Slice!!! When I lived in New York from 2008-2018 Glenville Pizza was my go place to pick up a pepperoni pizza on the way home from work for dinner. Moved a distance away, but still visit the area at least 3X per year and somehow find an hour to sneak out and Grab a Slice. So Good!! read more

This spot has been here for a long time and there is a good reason. The pizza is A+ . I'm a pizza snob and this is the gem of Greenwich and close enough to Westchester as well. I'm a cheese pizza person myself so I don't order all the fancy stuff but Cheese pizza is how you measure a good spot. These guys have the dough, sauce, cheese down to a perfect science. Overall (4 stars): Great NY style pizza at an awesome price. Had a mushroom slice and a broccoli slice here (ordered half and half on our pie). The pizza passes the crispy test! When it's held by the crust, the tip doesn't bend down showing that it has an awesome, crisp crust. I am particularly impressed because most of the time, when you order a pie, this does not occur (happens more often for slices that are reheated and the center of the pizza gets a chance to settle). When you bite into the pizza here, you get that perfect sink through the chewy part of the crust and then you meet your bottom teeth to break through that crispy layer... perfect! I was less impressed with the toppings though. The sauce was a little on the bland side to me and I wished there were slightly more sauce on the pie as well. Broccoli was completely unseasoned so it was kind of just some steamed broccoli on top of the pizza. The cheese was quite good though, and the right quantity for me! Was gooey but not overly so that when you took a bite, all the cheese of the slice comes off at once. The fact that you can't mess the cheese/sauce up too much anywhere and the amazing crust (and cheap price!) makes this joint a winner though. read more

I have been a big fan of "Vinny's PIzza" since we moved to Glenville in 1978. The regular / Neapolitan pizza is very good, in fact, I can't think of a better slice in town....... But the reason I now drive across town is for the very BEST Sicilian style pizza there is..... Perfect crust, sauce and just the right amount of cheese. I have not had a better Sicilian slice anywhere... and I've tried... !! Don't change a thing......!! Plenty of parking across the street. read more

I ordered a cheese pizza from here to try. The pizza was okay, but I liked that there was a decent amount of oregano. Parking looked like it was street-only, and it's on a bend in the road so a little scary pulling out with speeding cars coming around the bend. Decent pricing. read more

Little chilly actually if you ask me. Throw on a way too deeply opened quarter zip - no Nike tech - so that you can get a glimpse of a chain grazing the corner of my pectoral "muscle". I drive my motor vehicle across state lines to end up in the highfalutin Greenwich. Gorgeousness all over the place, my eyes hurt from gazing through exteriors and into souls. Out of place? No. I looked rather handsome this day, or said the chimpanzee that's befriended my pet mule Paco. But was I a foreigner? At the moment, yes. Yet not for long. So all delulu, I stumbled into a side block down a flight of stairs and into a straight up dungeon with a dragon spitting absolute fire in many forms at the open-faced visible ovens. I walked up to the counter and attempted to rizz up the cashier. She did a good job at resisting my aura. Marginally completely ignored me but that negative energy has no impact on a Sigma such as myself. Couldn't even tell if she had the gyatt or if she were mid, but it doesn't matter. Whatever. I'm not mad. That's not even what I was here for. I was here for a slice and a Cheeseteak. Whatever. I ghosted her first. Just PUT THE FRIES IN THE BAG! Anyways. Behind the counter the chef runs a tight ship. Would call him a pirate, first word that came to mind. He crashed out about five times and mogged roughly five unassuming customers and I absolutely loved it. That's how cocky pizza makers should be. No skibidi. No 6-7. All action, no BS. LET HIM COOK. You can only order in 15 min increments on the website. This, again, is a tight ship. So I ordered the cheesesteak and then added a slice to my purchase when I got there. Genius, I know. Super super deceptively light I could've polished a pie and I probably will at some point. Really liked it, need to try more slices. This place, across all metrics, passed the vibe check. They make you feel like family. 10/10. We no longer live by pizza post but will go out of my way for it! One of the best pizza spots in the area. Apparently he has a mobile pizza truck he does house parties as well!

I asked for light cheese and it was perfect, finished with a delicious spiral drizzle. The slices were insanely crispy -- I haven't had pizza this good in a long time! Personal pie goes for 7 dollars till 3 pm, then price increases to 12.00. They just opened in 2024 and it's already my new favorite spot!

They took my $50 worth of pizza and hacked it up into strips & squares & bits & pieces. The way you cut a pizza shows respect for the pie. Pepe's failed miserably. No respect for somebody else's food. Look at the pictures...they don't lie. This pizzeria is a legend in its own mind, Frank Pepe; old? Yes! Reliable? Not even close!

The only negative I can think of is that there's really no dedicated parking (that I saw) so I had to leg it in the cold for a bit but really, it wasn't a big deal. I'm still surprised that this place exists in Greenwich and looking forward to next time already.

The food was tasty, the service was friendly and I left feeling like I actually had something positive to say about the area (for once). The special Pan Fried Oysters were the perfect garlicky and tomato-y start to take the edge off our rumbling stomachs. My main was the deeply satisfying Sweet & Spicy Arrabbiata, which came loaded with plump shrimp, juicy mussels and chewy calamari, over lots of al dente rigatoni with fresh basil. Exactly what I want to be enjoying on a warm, summer day. The special Clams and Chorizo in Wine Broth was equally satisfying, with lots of clams for what was billed as a brunch appetizer. Prices were at Manhattan level, but with bigger portions, so there wasn't as much sticker shock. I don't see myself donning a pearl necklace or tying a J-Crew cardigan around my shoulders anytime soon, so I probably won't go out of my way to intentionally visit Greenwich again--but if I do accidentally wind up there again, I know where I'll be brunching.

If you've read any of my reviews you already know that one of the greatest sleeper food battles in the country is Grigg Street vs Luca's in Greenwich. The most underrated Cheeseteak battle in the world, right here under your nostrils. And you don't even know about it. Do yourself a favor, and educate yourself. I've gone back and forth. Most the time I have Grigg Street a .1 grade higher GASP. But other times I think they are even. I think I need more trials. Oh No! I must go again! - This is me being playful. Imagine the cruelty that the love(s) of my life most go through. Duller than a dump truck that's not street safe. - Anyways. Let me orchestrate a symphony for ya. Beautiful day. Little chilly actually if you ask me. Throw on a way too deeply opened quarter zip - no Nike tech - so that you can get a glimpse of a chain grazing the corner of my pectoral "muscle". I drive my motor vehicle across state lines to end up in the highfalutin Greenwich. Gorgeousness all over the place, my eyes hurt from gazing through exteriors and into souls. Out of place? No. I looked rather handsome this day, or said the chimpanzee that's befriended my pet mule Paco. But was I a foreigner? At the moment, yes. Yet not for long. So all delulu, I stumbled into a side block down a flight of stairs and into a straight up dungeon with a dragon spitting absolute fire in many forms at the open-faced visible ovens. I walked up to the counter and attempted to rizz up the cashier. She did a good job at resisting my aura. Marginally completely ignored me but that negative energy has no impact on a Sigma such as myself. Couldn't even tell if she had the gyatt or if she were mid, but it doesn't matter. Whatever. I'm not mad. That's not even what I was here for. I was here for a slice and a Cheeseteak. Whatever. I ghosted her first. Just PUT THE FRIES IN THE BAG! Anyways. Behind the counter the chef runs a tight ship. Would call him a pirate, first word that came to mind. He crashed out about five times and mogged roughly five unassuming customers and I absolutely loved it. That's how cocky pizza makers should be. No skibidi. No 6-7. All action, no BS. LET HIM COOK. You can only order in 15 min increments on the website. This, again, is a tight ship. So I ordered the cheesesteak and then added a slice to my purchase when I got there. Genius, I know. Why don't you tell huzz behind the counter who thinks that because she ate that she don't have to lock into to the gracefully aging unc who graced her presence. No glaze ofc. ANYWAYS. The cheesesteak is simply one of the best in the world. Straight chungus... this thing is structurally sound at an absurd diameter and circumference. Theres really not an argument to its greatness. The bread is filthy good. The cheese/sauce has some type of extra tang/spice that raises it another level. The meat is just wonderful. I mean this thing is so delicious that it's 9:30AM and I'm contemplating ordering one right now. JUST LOOK AT IT. And the pizza? Mid 8s. That's a nice score. Sourdough crust that dominates a bit because of its charred taste and texture. A good sauce almost wish there were more. Really aromatic, really fresh cheese. Super super deceptively light I could've polished a pie and I probably will at some point. Really liked it, need to try more slices. This place, across all metrics, passed the vibe check. Hits all the KPIs. Love the downstairs dark vibe. And call me Frankenstein but they hit the nail on the head with their two specialties: Pizza and Cheesesteak. Who doesn't love that combo?
