The design team took a very rough explanation of what I was looking for, added features and elevation changes that I couldn't have imagined on my own, turned it into a 3D animation that brought excitement to our entire family and then set forth to build exactly what they promised. Along the way I was introduced to a professional and skilled team of workers that created beauty and craftsmanship in everything they touched. Even when I decided the initial plan needed some additions, or changes, or I just simply changed my mind, never once did they say they couldn't achieve the outcome I was looking for. All they ever said was "Yes, absolutely, we can do that". It was almost a surreal experience working with a contractor that not only kept their word, their schedule, and their price point (except for the design changes which were 100% on me), this contractor went BEYOND the ordinary and into the EXTRAORDINARY throughout the entire project. Most of us are used to a contractor that just wants to finish the project and move on, RMOL truly cared about creating an outdoor living space that our family would truly love to "live" in. Our project consisted of transforming a 20,000 sq foot backyard of overgrown trees, dying grass and misshapen and unkept hills (all from a previous owner), into a 20x40 shotcrete swimming pool, a 9x9 spa with a sheet waterfall, a 4 foot circular fire pit with a rounded seating area, a raised pavilion for an outdoor kitchen, a grass soccer pitch and a waterproofed and finished underdeck for the 700 sq foot deck above. Not to mention hundreds of sq feet of pavers, dozens of feet of multi-tiered retaining walls and capped off with dozens of new trees, shrubs and outdoor lighting that came together into a backyard oasis of our dreams. This project started with a dream from our family and RMOL turned that dream into a reality that we will live in and love for the entirety of our time in this home.

We got a gabled roof and a paver patio, so we got to work with both the soft scape and hardscape teams. The soft scape team was friendly, and efficient, the whole roof took only a few days. Jeremy and his team are funny and great! The hardscape team was truly incredible and never ceased to go above and beyond. They cleaned up every day and were so respectful and hardworking. They even went so far to clean my neighbor's car when they got dust on it. They helped me with any specific requests I had and were abundantly patient with me when I was trying to understand the design. Ignacio is the best project manager I have met - so if you get him and his crew, you're in luck. The whole operation was like a well organized supply chain, we were never waiting on materials or permit inspections, it all was set up and delivered in synchronicity. Our project finished on time and at the price that we originally planned! The process was fine in the beginning. We were clear about what we wanted and our budget. It seemed everyone was on the same page. We filled out their landscape questionnaire in detail and again, noted our budget. We are always weary of signing design contracts. Knowing numbers of rounds, estimates and being warned when we are close to going over the estimated amount is crucial to us. We made this clear to DL and had multiple conversations discussing our fear. Somehow, it still happened... Then Denver Landscapes came back to us with a plan that was almost 3X our original budget. What?!? They wasted their time building out such a plan and our money by charging us for those wasted design hours. All in all, it was a worthless exercise that left us very frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Sprinklers are still going off in the mornings making it difficult for dog walkers to walk their dogs. This company doesn't seem to care about customers only that they get paid. As I said the owners apology is nothing but word salad. He expects me to eat it and then still get wet while trying to walk my dog. He can keep his salad. I had a 2 hour window from 11-1 and nothing, no call, no email. So I reached out at 1:45 to see where they were at and they said sorry had something important come up and needed to reschedule. This was 45min past the 2 hour window in which no one contacted me to notify me they wouldn't be able to make it. Do not wast your time waiting around for this company as they obviously have a bad wrap for standing people up and not showing up. Definitely wouldn't want to give my 10's of thousands of dollars to a company that is poor at communication.

They are timely, professional and are impeccable about cleanup when the project finished. I will only list the two major jobs performed. First, they dug out a 3 x 6 area of broken stone and dirt where my garbage cans were and replaced the area with pavers. Completely level with a clean look. Second, they put in sod in the area where a large tree was removed. A challenging job but several years later the area remains in great condition.

They went out to fix it (I live out of state) and all seemed well until we got snow last week and the same exact gutter detached. I called them 4 times and filled out the form for them to contact me 2 times and have yet to receive a call back on getting this repaired. It looks like they no longer service residential properties - which is fine - but they should at least give their former customers a call back for work they did that didn't even make it through a 3 month period.
