Plant Garage is AMAZING. I needed a bunch of plants for favors at a work party, and the owner went above and beyond to make it happen for me. She communicated clearly and consistently, even allowing me to text her about what I needed and when. On the day of my event she picked up my plants fresh from the nursery that day. The whole thing was so easy and wonderful, and the shop itself is so cute. The nice golden retriever I got to pet while I was there deserves 5 stars just on their own. They sold me a tradescantia nanouk that was already dying and was infested with fungus gnats. Infested my whole house and started dying within weeks. When I brought it back a month later to explain the situation and request a new plant, the salesperson was extremely helpful but asked that I give it another month and see what happens (and to try to propagate the rotten pieces if I could). She even wrote down the date that I was to give it until. I came back about two weeks after that date because I had been in a car accident and sick and explained that it had not gotten any better--actually more of the plant had died. Spoke with the same employee who was initially helpful and offered to replace the plant. She called her manager to confirm that she could do so, and then returned telling me her manager/the owner would not be doing anything for me because I had "waited too long". I'm sorry! I had surgery and was in a car accident, I guess I should have come in anyway huh? Also I had been explained that the date they provided on a sheet of paper was the date I was supposed to GIVE it until to see if it was better, NOT as they seem to believe the last day I could have raised an issue with it. I want everyone to know that they sell diseased plants and do not stand behind their sales. I'm going to tell everyone I know to avoid Plant Garbage. read more

Owner is so rude. I can tell he tries to be professional and polite, but it doesn't seem to come too easy to him. During one visit, I said excuse me so I could get by somewhere around 6 ft around him. He simply said, "Oh I don't care" as if he didn't understand the safety measures around COVID-19, and then didn't move. I expect more from a small business owner. Second visit, a lady was rude to me because I mentioned to her that I was waiting in line. I heard him talk to her outside about me saying "she's done this before." Done what, exactly? Spoke to some entitled people in a nice way and got heat for it? Just lost my business and all of my friends. read more

What a lovely plant store! They have an outdoor patio area with larger plants, pots, soil, fountains and some smaller succulents. They also have an indoor area with candles and other small gifts. The service was super friendly and they were really knowledgeable with lots of recommendations. They were also dog friendly with a friendly pooch as a greeter. There's a sign out in the front of the store limiting 10 people in the actual building, which I thought was considerate of social distancing! Everyone was wearing masks as well. There is a HUGE plant selection ranging from outdoor plants, succulents, and houseplants inside! This is the plant I decided to buy. TLDR: This place is a wonderful plant store. If you are looking for high-quality, healthy, and beautiful plants then this is the place for you! We recently discovered the wonderful ways plants can add life to our apartment and wanted to get plants. Unfortunately, big chain plants are usually not that healthy and the variety is limited. Not here. This place offers a large selection of plants (including so many succulents!) as well as beautiful pots and plant tools. The owner is a great man who is very knowledgeable about his plants and how to care for them. He is very sweet and knowledgeable, and the store has a "homey" feel to it. Need plants? COME HERE!!! Tremendous service, the owner is helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable. There is a great selection of flowers, plants, planters, and small trees. Besides the fact there are a lot of plants, the atmosphere is something you wouldn't expect. It is genuinely a place I would hang out at. Seats, an adorable dog, unique decor, and everyone who pops in seems very likable. Best plant store ever! David is very helpful and friendly, as he was when we came in the earlier incarnation of the store (before it was Plant Garage). We came here for our Christmas tree which lasted for over a month. More recently, we came in with some very specific ideas of what we wanted. Namely, a tall floor plant and a vine plant. David was extremely helpful in suggesting what would work best as well as clear care instructions for the plants. He even carried out the large one and buckled it into my car! I definitely recommend this place for new plant owners or anyone in the area looking to purchase plants. They also sell pots and some other accessories. read more

I can't express just how much I adore this place and the people working today. I had Plant Garage saved in my must see locations a while ago and finally made it in. I had killed my plants two years ago when I moved and was feeling finally ready and excited to try again. I'm so glad I visited here to do so. Came here as a recommendation and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It is a tad small (remember it's a plant store that's practically downtown) but the guy working there was super knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction for Some outdoor plants to get! They have a nice selection of houseplants though I will say some of the larger ones are a bit pricey, again a plant store practically downtown I am guessing rent there is not cheap! The two people who were working when I was there simply refused to speak to or help any person of color. They would show all the white customers where each plant was outside and answer extensive questions, but as soon as anyone else had a query or needed help they would just gesture and not make eye contact. This has been our favorite local nursery since moving the the Cap Hill neighborhood. Plant Garage is exactly what the name implies, it's a little plant shop on the corner of 10th and Acoma. They recently shut down the place and renovated it and opened it back up again last fall. I went in the middle of winter, so I can't speak too much to what the place is like in the spring, summer, or fall, but they probably have a lot more to sell in those months than they do in the winter time. I've become somewhat of a plant shop snob in the last year so I'm constantly seeking out new stores to see what they have to offer. In the winter time, this store is a good store if you are looking for SMALL plants or SMALL pots for indoor plants. I originally went in there looking for a pot for one of my medium sized plants and couldn't really find what I was looking for. That said, even in the winter they had a few cool pots outside that I could have purchased. They had nice round ones, some modern hexagonal shaped ones, etc. In the summer, when I pass by this place, there always seems to be awesome outdoor plants as well as larger pots for sale. I believe I've also seen small water features at this place, but I could be mistaken. They also sell Paddywax soy-based candles here. So I ended up purchasing one of those because they are one of my favorite candle brands. I also love their brass watering cans, so cute! If you live in The Golden Triangle and are walking distance from Plant Garage, this should be your go-to store for small kitchen succulents, cacti, and hanging plants. If you're looking for something larger for landscaping or medium sized plants, I'd probably recommend another plant spot instead. Overall it was great for small little knick knacks. And it's LOCAL, so can't ever hate on that! read more

I have recently found a love for plants and really enjoy shopping for them! I love the way they make my home look, and i love learning about them. I live across the street from a different plant store and have gone there multiple times in the last six months since moving to Denver. I have never felt welcomed with friendly staff until i found plant garage. At the other store I am barely greeted and the owner seems annoyed with customers especially when asking about how to care for certain plants. I walked into plant garage for the first time today and the staff was so beyond welcoming. The store is gorgeous, but the staff make the experience a great one. The man who checked me out for my plants (I'm so sorry i am horrible at names) was so informative and genuinely seemed excited to teach me how to care for each one. Met both David & Meagan when the plant garage was under old management and using a different name. Both contributed so greatly to my love of plants. I started with 3 house plants and it quickly turned into 10. I needed a break from the place bc I would surely come home with more. Flash forward one year and I was looking for the plant nursery under their old name only to find out it closed!
