It's my go to when I'm in DTLA and it's nice because they have none vegan burgers so my friends also have something for them as well and they always enjoy their food. Plant-it, I'm glad I planned it! A full trip to cool burger joint in Downtown Los Angeles, located inside the Corporation Food Hall off Spring Street between 7th and 8th street, but much closer to 7th. You can spot PiB directly to the left of the main entrance by the exit door. Their veggie friendly menu consists of vegan and vegetarian options as well as classic options. It's burgers, sandwiches, wings, impossible nuggets, melts, fries, mac n' cheese, loaded fries (including vegan), salads, and other cool things. I went with a classic The Plant-It Burger (vegan style), Sweet Potato Fries and some water. As well as some choice dipping sauce options - you can enjoy the tree island sauce, tome of fire sauce and/or the vegan ranch sauce for instances if you're plant-based. Signature sauces feature spicy ketchup, bbq, bbq ranch, habanero aioli and in-house dressing. For dessert they offer a banana white chocolate bread pudding or a vegan flan that is on my list for next time. Easy beverages in the form of a bottle or fountain drink style (all the essentials like coke, sprite, lemonade, powerade and dr. pepper. Apple Juice via Martinelli's and sparkling (topo chico) or still (evian) water options also available. Order at the front with a great Plant-it crew member, on their kiosk to the left of the main register counter or even online. Free vegan ice cream samples for customers :D Parking is shared with the Food Hall, and they validate. P.i. I came here for dinner with my partner and a friend. We ordered the Ground Earth & Chile Garden burgers and both were delicious. They were kind enough to accommodate our request for vegan cheese on the burger listed as vegetarian due to the regular cheese used. The vegan bacon had a great taste as did the vegan chilli. Everyone was nice and helpful when making our selections and the food came out quickly. Will definitely be back. read more

HAD SOME CELEBRATORY FOOD TODAY to congratulate myself on passing my drivers test!! (**)(**)!! I ordered The Chile Garden Burger with add-ons of avocado, vegan impossible chili, and caramelized onions. I also got Sweet Potatoe Fries, and 6 piece vegan nuggets. Delicious! The burger was pretty dam good. The "chili", "bacon", and bun were my favorite parts. Soft, "buttery" bread with great "meats". The patty though was salty. Not TOO salty, but it was definitely noticeable. The S.P fries were crispy and def gave flavor. Very yummy and the condiments added taste. I didn't NEED the sweet ketchup and vegan ranch, but they were great sidepieces. Lastly, the nuggets. I necessarily don't go for vegan nuggets because chicken nuggets have never been my go to food, but they were actually pretty on-point. They tasted amazing by themselves and even better when I ate them together with the sweet potato fries and condiments. Overall, my food really hit the spot, but due to the saltiness of the burger, it didn't earn that 5 star rating in my book. Was on the way to Wild Living Foods and was looking for other vegan options in the area. Found Plant-it around the corner. I guess it's lokey, they didn't have many IG followers. Was initially confused by the menu because it lists Angus beef burgers-it's a twin kitchen with a vegan side. Ordered the chili cheese fries and chili cheese burger-both vegan. Must note, these two items are rare in the vegan community. EVERYBODY has a cheese burger, double cheeseburger, some version of a western burger, a chicken burger and some version of a Big Mac. For some reason, chili cheese is just rare. Stand-Up Burger had them on their menu last summer but no longer. Munchies I think had one. Only 2 other places I can think have them. The chili cheese fries here were top notch. Also enjoyed the burger, just wished there was a stronger cheese taste. Everything here you can tell is made with love. We were looking for a Vegan meal in downtown Los Angeles late on a Thursday night. We saw that they offered vegan burgers, and I had always wanted to try a spot in this food court. There's 6 places to order from, with tables inside and outside and it's like a small Union Market. We ordered two vegan burgers, with sweet potato fries and a loaded fries. We asked for ranch and thousand island and they gave us more than we asked for. The loaded fries were amazing and so were the burgers, loaded with toppings. As soon as I took a bite of the Chile Garden burger I wanted to cry tears of joy. I'm from New Mexico born and raised, have lived in SoCal for almost 15 years. I have not come across a green chile cheeseburger worthy of comparison (looking at you, The Counter) until today. Not only is it the closest flavor-wise you'll get to anything back in 'Burque, I literally cannot tell this isn't a beef burger. I've been pescatarian for 23 years, I've never had a veggie burger this f*cking good. If I had to make any critique, it would be that the hatch chiles are from a can, and though still flavorful, lack the real smoky/heat punch of what you get from frozen chile. I'd suggest to the establishment owner to try Bueno brand chile (authentic, comes frozen in all heat levels). There's only one grocery store in town that has it- the Albertsons on Hillhurst. No. Checked hours, said open. Went at 6, drove a half hour just to come here. Called 3 times as well, 1 before leaving, figured they were busy bc it's dinner time. Nope. Couldn't find it bc the food hall was closed despite saying it was open as well. There was a delivery driver also there to pickup someone's food. How disappointing. There were 2 guys inside and one came and addressed the driver, but wasn't really saying much besides closed. Drove 30 mins to end up at Whole Foods, which is 5 mins from my house. I am so excited to have many vegan options available in the area, however their country burger was the worst vegan burger I've ever had. The bun was soggy, yet the whole thing was also dry. Great vegan burger option for DTLA. Inside of the food hall on Spring Street, mixed with other local restaurants, plant-it burger is my go to spot whenever I'm in the mood to walk outside and order something in person, the old-school way. Because they're indoors, they are adhering to all COVID-related protocols. So yes, wear your mask, use the hand sanitizer and do your best to stay socially distanced although this place is rarely crowded. My go to order is the plant-it burger with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and a vegan tree island sauce--comparable to a thousand islands salad dressing sort of vibe? Be sure to pair your burger with their regular fries for a perfect order. Wait time is never longer than 10 minutes. Customer service is always solid. They really serve some good burgers out of here. They have a nice combination of real burgers and vegetarian burgers. Not that I'm saying that vegetarian burgers aren't real burgers with their true to authentic taste that I so enjoy at times when I don't want to feel like a guilty meat eating foodie, but their care and attention to detail here is awesome. There's a lot of restaurants located near here but if you want a burger and a beer stop by because you won't be disappointed. And it's really cool that they have something for everyone's taste. So far I've had both the vegan burgers that they offer and the traditional burgers that they offer and everything has been excellent and I definitely want to come back again and I will be back again for sure! read more

This spot is so good. They have dole whip which reminds me of Disneyland but way cheaper. Also everything I get is so good and it's never greasy.
