I absolutely love this place. The food is absolutely fantastic and inventive. They have so many great sushi rolls, pizzas, noodles and small plates. I recommend you try everything. They have some seasonal dishes and excellent happy hour offerings. The prices are quite reasonable and the restaurant decor is very nice. The restaurant is quite large inside and has some outdoor dining tables outside. The staff is always polite and knowledgeable about the menu. This place is a gem!

Came back this winter (December) because I was craving my eggplant Nigiri and I come back to a brand new menu!! So I had my non negotiables, the eggplant nigiri, thousand layer potatoes, but holy moly!!! The Japanese steak!! Japanese steak mushroom dish looks exactly like steak with chimichuri sauce, feels and taste like brisket of some sort.. i was so intrigued! The texture and taste was on point. Really good!! Very full. We ended w cookies and ice cream but I'm coming back to try the other burgers and pizza! Also shoutout to our server kirin for making us laugh and taking good care of us! Great server!

This restaurant had a nice, elegant vibe. The interior decor was simple, spacious, and modern. The waitress I had was friendly. The cucumber mule mocktail I had was delicious and refreshing. Unfortunately, when it came to the food, I made a mistake. I missed the fact that mushrooms were listed as an ingredient on the gyoza and mushrooms got to be one of my least favorite foods lol. The gyoza didn't just have a few mushrooms in them--the filling was like 90% mushroom. This was very sad because the surrounding seasoning was quite good, but I just could not finish the plate due to my hatred of mushroom. My fault. Other than that, the restaurant was good and if it hadn't closed, I'd be open to coming back and trying something new.

Let me start off saying, I am not a vegan. However, I saw this place and my friends is vegan and I wanted to treat her out to some sushi. The food was amazing! From the texture, the flavors, the presentation. Everything was perfect! Pictured: "Chicken " sandwich was incredibly delicious! You could not tell me they wasn't meat. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. The "Spicy Tuna" and the "Eel Sushi" were both seasoned , the texture and the balances of the sauce utilized was perfect! Banana Pudding was very refreshing and I love the spin on this cake . "Chicken" and waffles was a different spin on the original. The oyster mushrooms could have been fried in a batter to give a better texture. The waffle was similar to a cornbread texture. Unfortunately, this was not my favorite but I appreciate the creativity. The location is beyond beautiful! The decor from the booths to the color schemes to the choice of plating etc... takes you on a whole experience you will want to come back for continually. In door and outdoor seating available. Lastly, the staff were amazing! Our waiter was nice, attentive and very professional.

I am still in awe of last night's dinner at Planta Brentwood. Not only is Planta absolutely stunning and perfectly set up, it is one of the best dinner's I've had in a very long time - and this is coming from someone who is not vegan. Everything we ordered was insanely delicious. The sushi rolls were AMAZING! I especially loved the crispy rice, which beats any real spicy tuna crispy rice I've ever had. The dragon roll was also amazing with a great crunch! I am still dreaming of the 1000 layer crispy potatoes. The crunch on the outside yet the softness on the inside was heavenly. Our vodka pizza and spicy pasta were also delicious, as was our key lime pie dessert. Our servers were all amazing and extremely careful with any allergies! They literally gave me a menu marking the things they could modify for my allergy and the things I would need to be careful from. I can't wait to go back with literally everyone I know! Highly recommend! And easy parking on the side in a lot!

It's so special to find a place that serves vegetarian/vegan food and its delicious! I love being able to sit outdoors, while the inside looks very nice as well. The service was friendly and casual as well, checked with us regularly to get feedback on dishes. For happy hour we ordered the cauliflower wings and they were delightfully crispy and fun. The pizza was the fluffiest pizza of this kind I've ever had. The udon was SO rich and creamy. If you're in the mood for a creamy udon, get this. As for the spinach dip, the chips were really good. The crispy rice with spicy ahi watermelon (didn't actually taste like tuna) and avocado was actually pretty good; my friend who hates watermelon actually liked it so that speaks volumes.

Major disappointment tonight from one of my favorite places. Came in for maki Monday. Seated at 5:50 and by 6:15, we decided to leave because no one came to help us. A busser let us know "Jake will be coming by," but he never did after over 20 minutes. Not the service I've come to expect and love here. I guess maki Monday is too busy.

You had me at nigiri! Be careful this may very well become your favorite place to get plantbased fare. #DrangonRolls #Nigiri

Fancy an adventure for your tastebuds? You have arrived to the perfect place. Located in Brentwood, a quiet city on the westside region of Los Angeles, is Planta. They have a sophisticated menu that focuses on meatless alternatives with a chic farm to table vibe. The decor is bright and neutral colors all around. Breath-stopping! I arrived before cocktail hour--I knew I wanted sushi and sushi is what I got. The dragon roll with tempura broccoli and avocado was wickedly delightful. Now for the bliss point, the eggplant nigiri melted and disappeared into my belly-- I have figured it out, making nigiri disappear is one of my superpowers. Anyone else? The texture was quite lovely and flavors made sense; eggplant is perfect faux eel. It was properly imagined and executed, I might add. Chef's kiss. They have truly mastered the true art of nourishing vegan fare! Next time the udon noodles, crab tostada, watermelon rose mocktail, and the crispy gyoza. Love is in the details--Planta you have made a fan of me! Be careful this may very well become your favorite place to get plantbased fare. My friend and I went for an early dinner on Monday. They have $9 Maki Mondays, $29 for Unlimited Maki! Since it's June I tried their seasonal non-alcoholic drink: Life's a Peach. It was delicious and added a refreshing twist to my meal. We stuck to the $9 Maki and ordered the Dragon Roll and the Crispy Rice with a side order of the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The Dragon Roll was phenomenal and the Crispy Rice, immediately consumed lol. The Spinach & Artichoke dip was honestly the highlight because we vegans miss this classic appetizer. For dessert, my friend celebrated her birthday with the classic Big Cookie and I tried the Blueberry Lemon Sundae and it's the best dessert I have had all month haha

OMG, everything there - just perfect! There wasn't a single thing here that I didn't like. From the pizza, to two different pasta dishes, to all of the sushi, slider, and bang bang broccoli - it's mouthwatering! Loved the dragon roll, crispy rice, and basically anything with unagi is absolutely fantastic. Wasn't super thrilled with the orange wine (I think that's what it was?) but the house white was good! This place is a total vibe, for a sexy little vegan dinner date night! Service is incredible, everyone is nice and attentive, and quick with delivery and clearing out plates. Music selection was great. Overall, loved loved loved it! Recommend to everyone and a place I'll definitely be coming back to!

Came here for HH on a Thursday around 5:30 pm. There was plenty of seating. We ordered the rosarita (my favorite) and lychee pomona spritz (my partner's favorite). Service was rather slow (our drinks came out halfway through dinner) but very accommodating (they took the drinks off our tab without asking). For food, we got the spicy crab and spicy tuna hand rolls (3 for $12), Nashville hot tofu bao ($8), chick'n fried mushrooms ($7), and firecracker wings ($8). I felt like the food was hit or miss. My favorites were the hand rolls, followed by the chick'n fried mushrooms. I wasn't a big fan of the sweet chili mayo on the firecracker wings, and the Nashville hot tofu bao was rather bland to me. My guess is that they tend to do their vegan Japanese food a bit better than other cuisines.

Vegan oasis, Planta, is a must-try for vegan foodies! However, I think even non-vegan foodies would like this place. Everything I've tasted on the menu has been delightful. Brentwood is one of the newest incarnations of this upscale vegan dining chain. The other closest restaurant being in Marina Del Rey. Each Planta location features a different fusion on the menu of Japanese inspired food. The Brentwood location has an Italian theme so there's pizza and pasta as well as lots of vegan sushi to choose from. Love it. They also have a fully stocked bar with a gorgeous aesthetic. It's a beautiful, serene setting. Everything on the menu has been delicious. I've been here a few times and tried the bao sliders, torch and press sushi, 1000 layer potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, and brownie sundae on the regular menu. I also very much enjoyed the mango crunch rolls, baked cauliflower, and coconut cake off the special January menu. Yum, yum, yum. Everything was so good. Sushi was delicious. The entrees were amazing. Desserts were tasty and moist. I liked that we did tapas when I came here as it's fun to try the different dishes. DETAILED REVIEW OF EACH DISH HERE Torched and pressed sushi was savory and honestly the flavor was so good that I forgot to add soy sauce and didn't mind it one bit. I also love that it came with ginger and wasabi. The mango crunch roll was really special. I would love if it was added to the regular menu (January special). I loved the sweet mango paired with the salty nuts. So satisfying and refreshing. When it comes to appetizers the bao sliders were tasty. Loved the crunchy mushrooms paired with hoisin sauce with a soft bun. Do note that they only come as one per order. The 1000 layer potatoes were my favorite item out of all the tapas we tried. The layered potatoes were buttery soft and had a really cool texture. I love that they come with vegan sour cream and caviar. So tasty as well as pretty! The stuffed mushrooms were stuffed with spinach artichoke dip. You can't really go wrong there. The January special baked cauliflower was topped with tahini and pomegranates. I love Mediterranean flavors! The eggplant rollatini was my favorite of the entree dishes. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and was soft and melted in my mouth. The sauce was also excellent but a bit spicy. I would have liked it paired with a slice of bread to tone down the spiciness and to sop up the extra sauce. The special coconut cake was so special. It was like a sponge cake and had a really great sauce with mangos and ice cream. Would love to see that on the regular menu. The brownie was also delicious and moist. We asked for ice cream on the side. OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE AND CONCLUSION The service here is wonderful. They were kind and attentive. We were asked how we were doing. Water glasses were promptly filled. We felt taken care of. Dress is California casual. Metered parking on the street. Outside dining on the sidewalk in front. Free wifi. Happy hour. Maki Monday (specials on sushi). Brunch on Sundays. Vegout Magazine listed Planta as one of the Six Best Vegan Restaurants in Los Angeles. Vegnews voted Planta as the best vegan restaurant in South Beach (Miami). Download the Planta app. You can also see pictures of the menu here which I think is helpful. There was also a $10 off promotion after downloading. Lastly, you can get points for dining in. Reservations available on Resy.

I did not see any garlic or onion specific items, although they are probably used to some degree in the preparation process. The cuisine is Asian, Latin and Greek.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.
