100% vegan restaurant wrapped up in a familiar, nostalgic diner setting. Came here on a Friday night and they were pretty packed. The space is not large so, it can get pretty busy pretty quickly So their entire menu is vegan. But when you look at the menu, there's some classic diner items and Mediterranean food. We ended up ordering the Mediterranean platter and the 'steak' and fries. The vegan steak had a texture where I was amazed that it was 100% plant based. I think it might've had some A1 sauce on the outside and a nice slight char. The fries were delicious as well. The Mediterranean platter looked and tasted amazing. Everything on that platter was great. I'm not vegan myself, but I really enjoyed my dinner and dining experience here. I can see how this place gets really busy. Maybe probably it's because there's not a huge amount of vegan options but as a stand alone, this place is amazing nevertheless.

This review is long overdue. I've been a huge fan of BeeWali's (the food, the ambience, and the beautiful family behind both locations) for quite some time now. The food is what first brought me in. After seeing their incredible-looking kebab plates online (and knowing everything is vegan), I had to try it. My partner and I have been vegetarians for nearly a decade, and when we talk about the foods we actually miss, the list is short, but a great kebab plate and really good wings are definitely on it. BeeWali's delivers on both. Their kebab plate is the closest thing I've had to my old favorites from Rafi's or Atari in almost ten years. It's nostalgic in the best way. And the wings? Honestly better than any I've ever had. The texture is spot on, and the sauce is absolutely incredible. Here's the thing: when we say we miss certain meals, it's not the meat, it's the flavors. The sauces. The full, satisfying experience of the dish. That's what makes BeeWali's so special. They've mastered recreating bold, crave-worthy flavors in a way that many vegan and vegetarian spots simply don't. I also have to mention the curry fries and the Western Bacon Burger. Neither were things I expected to crave , but...here we are. The curry fries are spicy, flavorful, and the perfect addition to any meal. And the Western Bacon Burger? Deliciously messy in the best possible way. My partner was always a big BBQ burger guy, and I'm not sure he's truly enjoyed one since going vegetarian, until BeeWali's. It's his favorite. If you're in the mood for bold, flavorful vegan comfort food, BeeWali's is the place. You won't be disappointed!

Bold flavors. Big love. Eagle Rock's plant-based gem. BeeWali's Vegan AF in Eagle Rock is one of those rare spots that gets it right--every time. Co-owned by Wali and Bee, this place is all heart, all hustle, and all flavor. From their iconic vegan kabobs to the deeply satisfying bowls and wraps, you can taste the love in every bite. The energy is welcoming, the food is bold, and the mission is clear: make vegan food that slaps. Support this spot--it's more than a restaurant, it's a movement.

From the moment I saw the name....I was intrigued. My sweet girlfriend surprised me with finding this super cool Vegan diner. I had recently decided to get back to my Vegan lifestyle. The vibe was wonderfully friendly and the true dinner interior was perfect. Wali himself took our order.....and his lovely Mrs. Bee....checked in with us while we waited. I ordered the Shawarma wrap with fries.... and Rae ordered the Falafel bowl. It didn't take long.....our food arrived and the first bite of fries set the tone for an amazing meal. Let's just say.....we sooooo wished we lived closer. We've already talked about planning a day to have lunch there again. Did I mention that we both live in Torrance....1 hour drive isn't out of the question for delicious food like this

Wooooooooooooow, yum! I have had this spot bookmarked for a long time cuz I'm rarely that far north but after visiting a homie in the area I had to stop in! I forgot the name of the young lady who took my order but she was amazing and recommended the chicken shawarma wrap, along with the apple samosa to go. I asked her to add falafel cuz I wanted to try them too. Got home and OMG the wrap was the softest fluffiest pillow of carb goodness!!! Good balance of flavor and texture, seriously A1! Fries were well seasoned and I appreciate the ratio (some places skimp on the amount of fries). The apple samosa was basically apple pie filling so warm and gooey. I def see the hype and will be back if I'm in the area. There's seating inside but too cramped for me so took mine to go. Food def 10/10, recommend!

This super cute family owned little vegan spot serves amazing food with great service. Their falafel may be the best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious!!

For those looking for delicious vegan bites and wanting to support a local business, look no further than BeeWali's. Located in Eagle Rock, this spot is serving up delicious bites to the local community. I had a chance to try their kebab which I could not believe was vegan! I could have this again and again. I didn't feel guilty having this as well as it was a healthy and refreshing meal. Overall, a great spot to dine for vegan dishes!

An amazing treat for vegans and non vegans alike! The menu is super unique and I think I drooled looking over all the options. The inside is very diner-esque and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Also, the portions are very generous and the flavor is poppin'!

Cute kitschy interior and great food. Friendly service. Normal pricing for the current market. I loved how many different hot sauces they had available for the table. They were busy the whole time and the food was so good I understand why.

Ordered the falafel with fries for pick up. Overall the falafel was very flavorful with the right amount of sauce. It's a good portion of food, filling. Fries were crispy, but just average fries. Food was ready for pick up quickly and service was fast. The shop itself looks spacious and is very cute and comfortable inside. Definitely worth going back to support local businesses!

Yes, it's a cute 50's looking diner, but there's WAY more magic housed inside this little restaurant than you can imagine... Do you like to support small, local businesses!? Do you like seeing the "little guy" win!? Do you like supporting owners that refuse to skimp on quality of ingredients or portion size? Do you like really flavorful, interesting , creative & piping hot food? (Whether you're Vegetarian or Vegan, or not...) Dee, & get husband Walli, created this business out of love and necessity years ago when she wanted to eat healthier & more flavorful Vegan options to try to eat more of what Walli was eating. They tried to find good, tasty options of places to buy something prepared, but that kind of didn't exist, so during Covid, they started experimenting & posting their culinary creations online. You know how some things go viral, right?... well, this is one of those times & they started making extra food for friends. A few good experiences at some food fairs & farmers markets & they now have two brick & mortar locations in Eagle Rock & Culver City you NEED to try! I'm a foodie & i'm really picky. As a Vegetarian since 2018, I've found that strictly Vegetarian (& especially Vegan) restaurants just aren't really very good, overall. (& i'd NEVER being my non-vegetarian friends to them.) I went to Las Vegas last month & visited what was touted as the "best Vegan restaurant" in Vegas & compared to BeeWalli's, it was MAYBE a 2/10. (So disappointing.) BeeWalli's Vegan AF's menu is so creative, interesting & their creations really work! Like hot wings? Bee suggested I have a mix of all the sauces! VERDICT: 10/10 Try the "chicken" Sharma & curry fries. (You'll thank me later.) VERDICT: 10/10 I've been there twice & it's my new favorite addiction. Please try it. Say hi to Bee. (She's just one of those great 'family folks' you just root for!) Tell her John the #SolarHero sent you & she MIGHT even give you an extra hot wing if you're sharing. (No promises, but she's really an appreciative & grateful owner that deserves your business!) Here's a pic of her and I at the Eagle Rock location. I can't wait to meet Walli at the Culver City location, some day soon. Whether you're Vegan or not... you'll enjoy!

Wow! Amazing vegan food, I'm not vegan whatsoever but I genuinely enjoyed this place. The owner was nice, the interior gave me a retro vibe. Definitely a place I would stop by again. Highly recommended if you're vegan or if you just want to try vegan food.

You can go to a run down old diner in any city, but this is the city of the stars. On this trip even though we were already heading to the establishment it must have been an extra slow day because someone was out on the boulevard trying to direct traffic to the restaurant. About 1/3 of the tables were full when we walked in, and it took a few minutes for us to be seen and seated. The wait staff is perhaps a bit understaffed to really be at their best. Our server did not explain much to us as far as the jukebox at our table, if we could use it and how... it would have been nice to know that. I ordered a Caesar salad and a coffee milkshake. When the server asked me if I wanted a small or large salad I asked what the difference in size was, since it wasn't explained on the menu to which they just kind of shrugged at me. Regardless of the perhaps lackluster service I really loved my food, the true, lived in vintage aesthetic and overall experience. Is 10.25 perhaps a bit expensive for a milkshake, i'd say so....but considering the overpriced reality of any trip to Hollywood I think it's something I would not regret spending my money on. Even though I can see why someone would rate this spot a 3, I simply cannot let my own rating fall below a 5 because I know the next time I'm in town it will be looming in my mind as the ideal place to feed my belly and nostalgic heart.

I gotta say - I am truly shocked in the best way possible just how good Mel's Drive In is. Now,…read moreit's not the absolutely most spectacular meal I've ever had, but considering how much of a tourist trap it is and how small the crowd was for dinner on a Friday evening, it was pretty darn good stuff. Our server was Juno and she was one of the best waitresses around! Sweet, attentive, super friendly, and her smile couldn't be beat! I ordered the short rib grilled cheese with a side of twisty fries or curly fries, and a Grants milkshake.. The food is definitely expensive the sandwich alone was something like $25 for the sandwich plus $2 for the fries being "upgraded" to curly fries. The shake was $11. For the size of the sandwich, $25 is steep. But you do get a big pile of fries for the upgrade price. The sandwich was toasted well and crispy on both sides, the short rib was tender a tad dry but great flavor, and there was a good amount of cheese! I think it sat for a while because the cheese had congealed so the timing was a slight issue but didn't ruin the sandwich. The fries on the other hand were a big miss. They were SO salty and pretty dry, like my mouth was parched for water every time I ate a curly fry. I don't know what happened there but the $2 was a waste. Now back to the good - the shake was amazing. For $11 they give you a full glass plus the extra in the metal cup. It was so well balanced between the nutella and banana flavors without being overly rich or sweet. It was thick too and had really great consistency. Sadly the sandwich filled me up so I couldn't finish the shake but I would definitely return for a milkshake in the future! Overall, a solid experience and I was pleasantly surprised, and I'd be happy to return if I was in the area!
