I got the Chicken Shawarma wrap with fries and hot damn if that wasn't some of the best vegan food I've ever tasted! I'm more of a flexitarian, but I try to eat at least one vegan meal a day. And wow, am I glad I chose this place! First off, those fries. Seasoned to perfection. I think they use some sort of cajun seasoning. But whatever it was, it was hella good. Next, the wrap. Um, what?! How is this vegan?! Whatever meat alternative they used, the texture was perfect. Also amazing seasonings and sauces. It was packed with flavor and lots of veggies. 100% vegan restaurant wrapped up in a familiar, nostalgic diner setting. Came here on a Friday night and they were pretty packed. The space is not large so, it can get pretty busy pretty quickly So their entire menu is vegan. But when you look at the menu, there's some classic diner items and Mediterranean food. We ended up ordering the Mediterranean platter and the 'steak' and fries. The vegan steak had a texture where I was amazed that it was 100% plant based. I think it might've had some A1 sauce on the outside and a nice slight char. The fries were delicious as well. The Mediterranean platter looked and tasted amazing. Everything on that platter was great. I'm not vegan myself, but I really enjoyed my dinner and dining experience here. I can see how this place gets really busy. This review is long overdue. I've been a huge fan of BeeWali's (the food, the ambience, and the beautiful family behind both locations) for quite some time now. The food is what first brought me in. After seeing their incredible-looking kebab plates online (and knowing everything is vegan), I had to try it. My partner and I have been vegetarians for nearly a decade, and when we talk about the foods we actually miss, the list is short, but a great kebab plate and really good wings are definitely on it. BeeWali's delivers on both. Their kebab plate is the closest thing I've had to my old favorites from Rafi's or Atari in almost ten years. It's nostalgic in the best way. And the wings? Honestly better than any I've ever had. The texture is spot on, and the sauce is absolutely incredible. Here's the thing: when we say we miss certain meals, it's not the meat, it's the flavors. The sauces. The full, satisfying experience of the dish. That's what makes BeeWali's so special. From the moment I saw the name....I was intrigued. My sweet girlfriend surprised me with finding this super cool Vegan diner. I had recently decided to get back to my Vegan lifestyle. We went for dinner before seeing a movie screening next door at Vidiots. Street parking is tough in this area but we managed to find a spot down the side street. It's a super cute interior done up like a 1950s diner. There is limited seating but we snagged the last open table. I ordered the falafel bowl and it was super colorful and flavorful and a good price. It did take a while for our food to come, but it was certainly fresh and warm. First impression-This restaurant is black and on a street corner of a Main Street. Parking- Street parking was a bit hard to find but there is a parking lot across the street with a Sprouts and a Panda Express. Food- The menu is larger than expected with a ton of great looking options. My friend and I tried the following items: Chicken Shawarma pita wrap with fries - This was great the only issue is there isn't any toum! Taste wise though it was fantastic and their sauce was wonderful as well. Steak Platter - My friend hasn't had vegan protein in a long time and said if she was blindfolded she would think it's steak just with something slightly off. Overall- We both loved our food and we were so full afterwards. This spot gets super busy around noon so if you're heading there for lunch you may have to wait! I forgot the name of the young lady who took my order but she was amazing and recommended the chicken shawarma wrap, along with the apple samosa to go. I asked her to add falafel cuz I wanted to try them too. Got home and OMG the wrap was the softest fluffiest pillow of carb goodness!!! Good balance of flavor and texture, seriously A1! That's usually my area of expertise, but I was excited to see what she had in store. I was shocked when we arrived here, I'd just been at Sprouts earlier that morning, but that's about where I'm done w the block... or so I thought! I'll keep it 100, I felt some type of way initially. I do eat some plant based things and am extremely health conscious, changed my diet, lost weight, no longer at risk for anything - the whole nine, but make no mistake, I'm a carnivore. I'm just better about the sourcing, etc. that being said I don't go to vegan restaurants lol. That being said, having now experienced it- I'm so shocked that when we walked in, no one was there. We were promptly greeted and asked where we wanted to sit. It was a nice sunny day, the owner Wali offered to put the blinds down if we wanted to sit on that side. I opted to sit in the back near the mirror. The menus are QR, but Wali also brought over an iPad. My friend had been a couple times and already knew what she wanted. I took a bit longer. We had a basket of fries, hummus and pita for appetizers. The fries were really good. The seasoning they use is great addition. The hummus had a little bite to me but I enjoyed the pita. My friend mentioned a garlic sauce they had and I ate that stuff like it was going out of style. I went with the kaboburrito which was also on lunch special. While we waited my friend kinda mentioned the story of how they came to be. I love a good story and supporting local minority owned businesses that are about something! My friend did the gyro shawarma wrap (also on lunch special) and it came out first. She had me try a bit of it. Very flavorful and fresh! My kaboburrito came out next. Presentation was lovely. It's beautiful. It looked a little dry, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I did still add the garlic sauce to it. Really made it pop. The longer we sat and bs'd, Bea started talking with us more, honestly Wali did too. My friend mentioned YE and she was telling us they got 22nd best restaurant!!! That says A LOT for any restaurant, let alone one that is vegan! I ate half the kaboburrito, took the other half to go. It's filling, fresh and delicious. I started talking about the market where I get my favorite vegan ranch, Bea got me a cup of theirs to try! It's house made and absolutely amazing!!! Hoping there's no seed oils or gums, I would easily buy more. Either way I'll be back. I love so much about this place. We were able to find street parking which wasn't too difficult. Mozzarella sticks (3.5/5): Breading was well-seasoned and crispy, but we felt the "cheese" texture didn't quite give us the gooey and stretchy satisfaction we were looking for. Marinara sauce was just ok, didn't add much. Chicken Tikka Masala (5/5): Our top choice. Sauce was delicious and the basmati rice was light and fluffy. Perfect level of spice for us. We were just looking for a solid vegan meal and ended up with something way better than expected. Bee Wali's Vegan AF serves up bold Mediterranean flavors, generous portions, and real comfort without compromising on plant-based values. We started with the Beef Pea Curry Samosa which doesn't seem to be on the menu, but was incredible. Crispy on the outside, packed with flavor inside. Definitely a highlight. The Chicken Shawarma Plate was a full spread -- rice, grilled veggies, salad, hummus, pita, and tender vegan chicken. Everything was super fresh, especially the grilled pepper and tomato. Then came the Mediterranean Burger, and wow. The housemade patty had amazing texture and flavor, and the tahini aioli, arugula, and fresh veggies pulled it all together. Juicy, but the bun held its own. Bonus points for the crispy fries. Service was quick, the space was clean, and even though the dining area is small, we got seated fast. We ended up taking leftovers home, and they hit just as hard the next day. This spot hits that sweet spot of tasty, filling, and thoughtful. Bee happened to be there when I stopped by today. Any time I get to see her, she radiates kindness and love. A little one stopped by with their parents and Bee greeted them too and then brought them coloring pages and crayons. Told them they were welcome to put it up if they wanted to and pointed out other little one's coloring pages displayed. We loved eating at this little spot! The moment we walked in we were greeted like family. Bee and Wali introduce themselves and heard our story about being vegan for the last 15 years. We ordered the Shawarma wrap, the kebab wrap, and the western burger - all with fries. They were all full of flavor, fresh vegetables, and yummy sauces. Though the fries were a little too spicy for my husband and son, I love them for their freshness and crispiness. Our waiter was super friendly and made great recommendations as well as was very patient with my 6y/o.
