This place has been on my list to check out for a long time, and I'm pleased to say it was not a disappointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The layout is cool and really makes the most out of the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and it felt nice and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was very impressed that the menu had whole food dishes with house made dressing and condiments. Candice was phenomenal and truly helped elevate our experience

Solid place for vegan food in LA. We went for the current Dine LA special and paid $35 each for a drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Overall service was okay. Perhaps they were busy due to it being a Saturday night. Staff was friendly overall, but we waited 20 minutes after we asked multiple waiters for our check (AND even went to the hostess stand to ask for it again) then when we received it, were charged incorrectly. We also had to ask for water refills multiple times, as no one checked in on us during our meal. I ordered the Dine LA special drink, Buffalo cauliflower app, sweet potato and curry bowl, and key lime pie. My friend ordered the same drink, Dine LA special lemon arancini app, Dine LA special coconut tacos, and cookie. Some items (such as the drink, cauliflower, and tacos) were stronger than others, but they all were solid. Honestly, without the Dine LA specials, I think the prices were a bit high for a casual restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is true SoCal- open, bright, airy, with both indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would be back if I'm in the mood for a plant-forward meal.

I've been here countless times and every single time I come I am enthralled with how good this place is!! It never disappoints! It's so tasty and you can't even tell it's vegan! The service is always wonderful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the place is beautiful! You can't go wrong if you sit inside or outside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love this place soooo much! Highly recommend eating here!!!

The service, the food and the environment; everything is so lovely!!! The food is phenomenal - I forgot what I got, but it had sweet potatoes, broccolini and a sweet barbecue sauce. The breakfast burrito was also so good - it had tofu scramble, avocado, black beans and a lot more yummy items. The service is lovely and people are very friendly & welcoming. They are also quite funny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a pretty environment with a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is quite pricy ($22 for my bowl), but it's also high quality vegan food. Vale la pena es lo que dicen en mi familia. I recommend!!

Visited Cafe Gratitude while in Los Angeles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was super relaxed and easygoing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was friendly without being over the top. Tried a couple of their dishes -- really fresh, clean flavors with a cool twist that kept things interesting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the kind of spot where you can just sit back, enjoy your meal, and not feel rushed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, a solid, chill place and worth coming back to. Saluti

Perfect spot for wholesome food! Everything is so flavorful, filling and nourishing. The I AM CARING nachos and I AM KANSHA bowl were excellent.

This has been one of my go-to restaurants for years whenever I would visit LA. However, I now feel like I probably won't come back. The food just isn't very good anymore and I feel like nothing is flavorful. I'm not sure if the quality has gone down or if my standards have gone up. We ordered the gem salad, lions mane sandwich, and pesto alfredo pasta. The salad dressing was overpowered by the water content of the lettuce, meaning the dressing probably wasn't "strong" enough. The "bacon" on top tastes just like mushrooms marinated in soy sauce. The pasta had a very weak pesto flavor. The bed of arugula under the pasta makes the dish very bitter if you get a bite even with a small bit of the leaves. I do like that there are veggies like edamame in the pasta! The lions mane sandwich is one we've had before and really enjoyed, but there was significantly less lions mane this time and it just tasted overall more dry. The side potatoes are too thick for my personal preference. I wished they were smashed a little more. For this visit alone, I would've probably given two stars for the food. However, service is always great here and I have had dishes that i've loved here in the past, so I will give three stars.

Have been here a few times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so cute, love the light breezy vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is *so* nice. I got the tahini butter cookie today, which was a really nice texture and not too sweet. Really enjoyed. Have had the cinnamon roll in the past which was also super good. Both are gluten free. Need to come back for food but tend to go to the Venice location for dinner cuz it's closer. The only downside is that it feels like kinda hefty up charges for gluten free alterations, like minimum of $4.50 on dishes that are already $22-$25 at baseline. Sigh up for their rewards program!

Came here for a girlfriend's birthday dinner and was excited to finally try Cafe Gratitude after hearing so much about it. We ordered a few dishes to share, and I loved how each menu item is named as an affirmation--so cute! We got: I Am Delectable (corn ribs with salsa macha, crema ajo blanco, cilantro, and lime) - so good, especially with the sauce. I'd never had corn ribs before but would definitely order again. 4.1/5. I Am Trusting (roasted purple potato & lion's mane mushroom salad with garnet yam, bell peppers, kale, broccolini, edamame, mung bean quiche, spinach pesto, and BBQ sauce) - couldn't really pick out the lion's mane since everything was mixed together, but the flavors worked beautifully. 4.1/5. I Am Fulfilled (butternut bolognese lasagne with broccolini, spinach, truffled almond béchamel, almond burrata, rice lasagne noodles, Brazil nut parmesan, and gremolata, served with a Caesar salad) - such an interesting vegan take on lasagna, and surprisingly hearty. 4.3/5. I Am Giving (Hawaiian pizza with pineapple, blackened tempeh, coconut bacon, marinara, coconut burrata, and Brazil nut parmesan) - the coconut burrata was creamy and delicious, and I discovered I love tempeh. 4.2/5. To drink, I had I Am Powerful - a hard blue lemonade with Juneshine hard kombucha, blue spirulina, lemon, and agave. Refreshing and unique! 4/5. The staff were warm and friendly, even taking a group photo for us. This place is a great reminder of how creative and flavorful plant-based food can be--honestly some of the best I've had.

I AM BEAMING - delicious pasta

Came to Cafe Gratitude for the first time. I'll start by saying I am not a vegan and don't often eat vegan but this will not be the last time I eat here. DineLA was a perfect time to try it out. Everyone loves Larchmont for the charm and not LA feel of the town and this restaurant fits right in with the vibe. We sat out on their patio on a beautiful evening. The service was great and honestly how can you not have gratitude for getting helped by people that are truly appreciative for what they do. We started with two mocktails that were delicious. I had the Italian chopped salad which honestly can compete for best salads I've ever had. We also got the crab cakes and I tasted it. It wasn't for me but loved by the table. My main was the I AM BEAMING pesto pasta that I'll call perfection, keeping the P's in place. Very filling, very flavorful and all gone by the end of the meal. Finished off the dinner with the cookie dessert. I am not a nuts in my cookies person so it wasn't my favorite. However the "ice cream" on top of the warm cookie helped me get through it just fine. If you know a vegan or are a vegan yourself. This is a place where you don't have to search for something you can eat. The menu is for you. And that is something to have gratitude for.

    Ananta Ripa A.

Absolutely love this place! Their vegan food is always so creative and on point. I love the variety of their menu and how the waiters give you an inspiring question to contemplate with your table mates and [[HIGHLIGHT]]how the atmosphere is so warm and friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Millet Nori Roll
    Lucy K.

First time visiting the Larchmont location and I loved it. I have been to the Venice location a few times, so I already knew I was in for something good. This will always remain one of my favorite restaurants as long as they keep the Medical Medium menu. These dishes are genuinely special because they are made from whole foods that nourish both the brain and body. You can taste the creativity and intention in every bite. I tried the new millet nori roll, the pumpkin pasta bake and the best pizza ever. The I Am Healthy Mediterranean Puttanesca Potato Chickpea Pizza is unreal. It is wild that a pizza can be this healthy and still taste that incredible. My only wish is that they still had their Newport Beach location. It was such a convenient spot and much closer to home.

I loved my farmers market margarita, and seed smoke mezcal cocktail, they were not overly boozy, but had been made with an even blend of flavor and dressed with complimentary ingredients. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

I ordered the Espresso Martini, and it tasted pretty watered down and lacked the bold coffee flavor I was hoping for. On the bright side, the food was definitely the highlight. The mussels were flavorful, the calamari was crispy and cooked well, and the fries were delicious. Those dishes really saved the experience . Overall, I'd come back for the food, but I'd probably steer clear from cocktails and order a real drink. Prank is a convenient place for dtla residents in surrounding apartments to come get some quick bites and drinks and catch a live game

Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

Don't expect deference if you make a reservation! Good thing…read morethis place has delightful food, good waitstaff and inviting atmosphere. The hostess left something to be desired. I have been here a few times for dinner but this was first time for brunch. I made a reservation, was asked to confirmed reservation 3x, noted it was celebrating a birthday and gave no preference on seating. I arrived on time, but one of my group was parking. There were a few people milling around and I was greeted with "checking in?" No hello, no welcome, no mention of celebrating and told to let them know when entire party arrived. (This is becoming more common to be seated along with a $25 per person fee if I canceled less than 24hrs. I know restaurants are struggling but come on!) I watched as 'walk-ins' were given priority tables and when our party was complete, she was squeezing in a 3rd chair to a small cafe table right by the pass through door. No asking our preference. When she returned to seat us, I said "you're not putting us at that small table are you?" Her response - "yes...unless you want to sit inside." How was that not a conversation first? A professional would have said "I apologize, where would you prefer to sit? I see you made a reservation, are celebrating an event and we had some unexpected guests for seating options." Perhaps she was having a bad day, or was still reeling from a prior customer interaction but she was NOT up to the standards I equate with Manuela. Go for the food but don't think by making a reservation you get any special acknowledgement.
