    BANG BANG BROCCOLI
    Fabienne L.

I'm far from a vegan, but this place was on my list and everything was delicious! For starters, we ordered the Ahi Watermelon, Bang Bang Broccoli (my fav), Red Dragon maki roll, the House Burger (I know basic), and the Japanese Steak. I was mostly fascinated with the Japanese steak, because it looked exactly like steak! Could've fooled me lol. Service was great. Our server was very patient since it was our first time and we asked a few questions as we navigated the menu and he made some great recommendations. I would return again and try other things off the menu. Cute vibe and first date approved!

Pretty pricey for some vegetables but it's good. I don't think the 1,000 potatoes are worth the price but the bang bang broccoli was really good. I would come back.

When my friend suggested we go to a vegan sushi restaurant, I had my doubts. I've had quite a bit of vegan food recently which I've enjoyed, but I have to admit I had my reservations. We ordered two rolls (Rainbow & Dragon Roll.) We also got the Bang Bang Broccoli and Spaghettini Carbonara. While the sushi rolls were not the same as non-vegan versions, they were both scrumptious. Each roll had such depth of flavors and textures. What I really appreciate about some of the vegan food I've had is the creativity and the thought that goes into each dish. It's not just vegetables thrown together. The two rolls we had really demonstrated that so well. I didn't taste the Bang Bang Broccoli because broccoli is not my friend. But I really loved the Spaghettini Carbonara. It's a simple dish with just 5 ingredients, but it was prepared exquisitely. It had the consistency and taste of regular carbonara without the regret. (Dairy is also not my friend.) The restaurant's ambiance is chill with low lights and a tropical theme. The tables are spaced far apart so you get a sense of being in your own little piece of paradise. Service was top notch. Our server answered our questions about menu items and cocktails. She suggested the rolls and the spaghettini. For a busy Friday night, servers were very attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. Someone came by to check on us often enough without being intrusive. All in all, Planta was a splendid way to start our foodie adventure in New York,

I would say a 4.5/5! The food is very good and memorable. My partner and I got an array of different dishes: Crispy Rice 10/10 Spinach & Artichoke Dip 8/10 Chi'kn Mushrooms 8/10 Chorizo Pizza 9/10 Key Lime Pie 10/10 (Must Try!) The service was attentive, but very slow. The ambiance is boho chic and relaxed. I would come here with a friend on a weekday.

Planta does a full send every time. Smacks. Maki Monday is a great deal and the food is beyond good. My date didn't know the tuna was vegan and didn't believe it later in the night. My one complaint is that the wasabi is pretty weak, but the rolls are great without it regardless. I love the open kitchen because you see how immaculate the back of house is kept. Friendly staff and short waits considering the special of the day bringing a crowd.

I have a friend in Atlanta that kept ranting and raving about this wonderful vegan restaurant in Atlanta I'm not visiting Atlanta anytime soon I was in New York for a brief period of time and I found that they had another location in Brooklyn so I decided to see what my friend was talking about. To first start off the facility is so beautiful it's very clean. The decorating aspects of the facility looks clean. I sat at the bar and the server told me about their $30 brunch cocktail menu which I truly enjoyed. I believe I had a lychee Paloma and a Hugo. These cocktails were very light not too sweet and if you order three or more you get a bang for your buck. So, my friend wanted me to try the sushi roll which was called torched and press. Now it is rice with avocado and a miso truffle. I cannot explain how mouthwatering the flavor combinations were I wasn't having I could not explain to you how beautiful the sushi roll was I decided to order another roll, which was the dragon roll. I believe that had Japanese, sweet potato, and avocado and gochujang mayo. This was a really good roll, but I would have to say the torched and press is my favorite. I really wish there was an a location in Orlando. I will be visiting plantany city that has one.

Location is easy to get to in Brooklyn. Parking on the weekend was easy. Nice staff and hosts. Food was great. A couple of hitches in the kitchen with getting food out (explained that there was a calll out). They even comped us our dessert to make up for it. They were accommodating for our group. We had always gone to Planta Queen in flatiron, but recently it has been a bit more run down and provided less customer service so we tried this spot in Brooklyn. Had a good time - will go back!

Planta in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn is a Plant-Based restaurant that has delicious tasting vegan food. After visiting Shobha, the reservation for dinner at Planta was welcomed. It was a nice short walk to Planta Williamsburg after I briefly visited Domino Park & took some gorgeous pictures. We met at Planta by their bar area & the hostess took us to our table. I took a look around and viewed their nice interior, bar area, and overall indoor dining room set-up. Planta Williamsburg is chic & elegant w/ a laid-back vibe. Plants Williamsburg has one floor w/ clean bathroom facilities as we as gorgeous plants & lighting fixtures. Staff are attentive & friendly at this location, and they come consistently come around to check on customers, which promotes great service. We both had "Mez-Cal Me Maybe" cocktails, which I have enjoyed previously at the Planta Quuen Nomad location. "Mez-Cal Me Maybe" Cocktail- Mezcal, Ginger, liquer Passionfruit & Lime has a powerful, refreshing taste, + it went down smoothly. We both enjoyed our entress as Planta makes good food w/ the freshest ingredients. The Spaghetti Carbonara and the Spucy Chorizo Pizza were both fabulous. This is excellent for date night! Step into a classy atmosphere with large leafy plants tastefully placed in this restaurant and bar. Make a reservation and be seated right away. It wasn't busy on a Friday afternoon. Drinks 5/5 Flavorful and pretty Right amount of strong Food Excellent use of spices, non vegans will appreciate this, food made to share. Disliked that the French onion soup didn't have cheese. Also Had the bun which comes 1 per order and is light and crispy, gnocchi, and Thai lettuce wraps. All flavorful Service Attentive and friendly Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes

The inside is modern industrial with art deco accents. To me it's very visually appealing especially the bar area. The bartender was kind and that mezcal maybe drink is delicious!! They also had a good music playlist going in the background. To be honest everything we had tasted so good. Being a full on carnivore did not miss the meat at all. Everything was a surprise of deliciousness. We started of with the crispy rice and it was so good. The bit of crunch with sweet and savory notes. The dumplings also very flavorful. The spicy chorizo pizza was surprisingly very tasty, I should've asked for crushed red pepper flakes. Only because I like spicy spicy Overall this was a great experience and I do recommend A+

Celebrated my birthday here adored it. I've been to the nomad location so was really excited when the Williamsburg location opened. On my birthday, the service was excellent. Every server that stopped by our table was personable, warm and genuine. The GM (I think! Forgot her name) came by and she was so sweet. The food was spectacular and everything we tried was amazing. We ordered the: Bao sliders Bang bang broccoli Torched and pressed Eggplant Creamy Udon Noodles with Truffle Dragon Roll 1000 Layered potatoes Cheesecake And a few more I can't remember So why not 5 stars? I knocked off a star because I was so enamored that I came back a week later solo because I'd been craving the 1,000 layered potatoes among other things and I opted for bar seating. The service was unfortunately sub par at the bar and almost even frustrating. I sat unattended for a few minutes then was asked by the bartender if I was waiting for a table. After i said that I wasn't, I waited a few more min to order. He took my drink order and before I could add my food order he was gone. A couple came and sat next to me and I briefly left to wash my hands. By the time I came back they'd both received their drinks and placed a food order. I asked to place a food order and also asked for water. He took my food order then disappeared to what looked like the kitchen. I asked the other bartender for water and she was sincere and apologetic. It does kind of suck that my second visit wasn't as magical as the first because now I don't feel particularly pressed to rush back. I will be back but it makes me reconsider showing up solo for bar seating.

All the food was awesome EXCEPT the chorizo pizza *sad face*. It was such a bummer but the pizza didn't have much flavour and wasn't even close to competing to all the amazing pizza joints around. But aside from that, the rest of the food was delicious. My favourite was the crispy rice (5/5). We also got the Thai lettuce wraps (4.5/5) and the bar buns (3.5/5). The spicy pasta (4/5) was also great. They offer many juices, I tried I Dream of Greenie which wasn't the most appealing colour but it was tasty. The design of the place is also very nice. I would come back to try more stuff! I saw they offer bottomless brunch but I didn't partake...this time.

This review is for dinner. I will preface this review by saying that I am an AVID carnivore and dairy lover. I was very curious about this place though. I will say, I was pleasantly surprised! Will I become a vegan, not likely, but I'd definitely come back here. Ambiance / Service: came on a weeknight and it was pretty crowded. It's trendy, but where it feels cool, yet you can show up in sweatpants and feel fine. Our server was great. The person I dined with is allergic to red pepper flakes and the server checked the menu with the kitchen and circled every dish we should avoid. Food: this is coming from a non-vegan. Overall I enjoyed, some dishes more than others. -Crispy Rice: comes with five pieces. This was a HIT. The best thing we ordered. I literally couldn't tell the difference and would order this again even if I wasn't at a vegan place. -Bao Slider: I enjoyed this. The mushroom did NOT exactly mimic meat, so don't anticipate that. But the mushroom was flavored nicely. -Avocado Lime Tartare: so I enjoyed this, but the other person did not. Only order if you like beets. The beets did NOT mimic tuna tartare at all (it tastes and feels like you're eating beets). -Margherita Pizza: this was good - the second best thing we ordered. The "cheese" has a different consistency which took some getting used to, but overall this tasted just like a margherita pizza. -Spaghetti Carbonara: we both were not fans of this and did not finish. It needed more salt and seasoning. We also perhaps unfairly were anticipating flavors of traditional carbonara and it did not taste even remotely like it. I'm not even sure it should be called Carbonara, maybe more like "mushroom pasta".

Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

Ambiance (5/5): The establishment is extremely ornate and decorated in theme from top to bottom. I…read morelove how much detail and elegance they put to each room (not to mention the 16-foot buddha statue in the main dining room!) Be aware that the lighting is dim and the background noise is loud! The front bar room is so loud that you have to shout with your guest. Our party of 6 was seated in a tiny booth which we had to ask for an additional chair to accommodate us. Service (5/5): We were able to get someone's attention to order and we were refilled on water often. The food was organized by appetizers and entrees that arrive all at the same time. The wait between ordering and food felt reasonable to short. The waiter also specified that certain dishes quantity (i.e. potstickers) could be increased to accommodate our party size for an extra cost. Food (5/5): TLDR; every dish was honestly SO good; I was surprised and will rank the items by 'must get' to skippable: Short Rib Bao Bun (3 pc): The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The bao bun was soft. The sauce was thick and worked well with the short rib. Pork Potstickers (5 pc): I preferred this over the lobster and scallion dumplings. The exterior skin is pan-fried with a nice glaze, hint of truffle. The bite was umami from the creaminess of the Parmigiano Reggiano. Chicken Satay (3 pc): The 3 pieces of chicken were relatively large, very tender, seasoned well. They were well complemented with the peanut sauce that is worth keeping to dip into other things! Don't sleep on the side of spicy cucumber salad, which was so well balanced in tartness and flavor. Pad Thai: This is one of the best Pad Thai I've ever had! The flavors are bursting, with a balance of sweetness, nuttiness from the peanuts, and tartness from a squeeze of lime. Peking Duck for 2: This dish is definitely more than enough for our party of 6 and appeared to be a half serving of the whole duck. The duck pieces are pre-cut for us to self-assemble into the wraps (not the usual bao bun but like thin tortilla wraps). I think I counted 8 wraps? Triple Pork Fried Rice: The rice has a lot of depth and generous chunks of pork. The rice is thicker than regular jasmine with a more chew which I liked. Dragon Tail Spare Ribs: Although this has a nice flavor, handling with your fingers makes them super sticky for your whole dining experience. The restaurant should give out wet towelettes if this dish is ordered!! Meat was tender and easy to chomp off the bone. Tuna Tartare: A small quarter-sized tartare dollop is served atop a small cube bread. The fish was fresh, presentation was beautiful. Was hoping for more tartare for the price point but it was very good. Overall, the dish was not filling so would skip if the party is hungry. Lobster and Scallop Dumplings: Great flavor with reasonable chunks of meat inside. Just preferred the potstickers a lot more! Bok Choy: Pieces were chopped in half and cooked with a nice crunch. Topped with something that gave it more texture. The garlicy taste was forward (in a good way). Rainbow Roll: While it was fresh and the individual pieces were large in portion, this felt like any other sushi roll. Skip this! Side of White Rice is $9?! That's theft and is skippable The amount of food ordered was probably a little more than what we needed but glad we ordered as many as we did.

This restaurant has such a beautiful atmosphere. I was truly amazed by the giant Buddha altar and…read morefelt very peaceful paying my respects. I especially loved how it was placed elevated above the floor -- it gave such a calming and respectful feeling. Even with the hustle and bustle, the place still felt relaxing and serene. As for the food, it was decent. We ordered a few different chicken dishes since we don't eat pork or fish, so our options were a bit limited. One thing that did make me feel uncomfortable was the hallway near the downstairs bathroom where a picture of a Buddhist monk in saffron robes was displayed. Personally, I felt it was not the most respectful placement. Overall, I still enjoyed the experience and would love to come back again to see the beautiful giant Buddha.
