Pom Pom Spritz, Phucket Swizzle, Cho Lon Duck & Chicken Pad Kra Pao
    Yalissa C.

Twin Tails is effortlessly stunning! Tucked in Columbus Circle with a warm, moody ambiance that feels both intimate and refined & service was attentive throughout. The Pom Pom Spritz and Phuket Swizzle were both refreshing and well-composed with a good alcohol-juice ratio. The Cho Lon Duck is the standout and absolutely worth ordering. Designed to share, it was incredibly tender & flavorful, easily one of the tastiest ducks I've had. We also had the chicken pad kra pao, which was well-seasoned, aromatic, and a great balance to the richness of the other dish. We finished with the coconut red soufflé which was light, warm, and delicately sweet. Order it about 15 mins in advance to give them time to prepare it.

The entrance from the mall is so unassuming, but as soon as you open that door, you are transported to such a beautiful restaurant. A little dark and moody, but very high class. The views are amazing! I would totally recommend this place for a celebration dinner. Service is stellar and food is too! Everything is presented so beautifully, and I can confirm it isn't just looks. Thai Tea Swizzle - make sure you mix it well or you're going to be hit with either the sweetest or wateriest swig, lol. Very refreshing and super tasty. Cho Lon Duck - this is perfect as a meal split between two people. We loved the different offerings as they allowed us to mix and match each bite. I appreciated that they also included the cuts they could meticulously slice because value for your money, but I also just want to eat meat. Its definitely more of a splurge item, but it is worth it. Ube Crème Caramel - wow. This was so amazing. Flavors were perfectly balanced and the burnt sugar added the perfect little twang. Please please try this! Even our server said this was the best dessert option.

I thought this was actually a Thai restaurant but apparently it's a Vietnamese restaurant. We absolutely loved the place and the food. We started with BBQ meatballs which were so flavorful. Duck tower was amazingly good and their fried rice was perfectly flavored. I wished to have more rooms in my tummy!!! Server was very attentive and was knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very elegant which fits so well for Columbus Circle. If you're looking for a spot in Columbus Circle, this is it.

Twin Tails is an 1980s-inspired Southeast Asian restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the Shops at Columbus Circle, serving Thai-Vietnamese cuisine. It's operated by Quality Branded, the same group behind Don Angie and Zou Zou's, but I hadn't actually heard of this restaurant until I started researching pescatarian friendly restaurants in the area. While they do serve meat and poultry, the menu leans heavily seafood-forward, which immediately caught my attention. The space is romantic and retro, with a moody, dimly lit ambiance and comfortable booth seating. It's also much larger inside than I expected, which gives it a lively feel without being cramped. The night we went, they were hosting a collaboration with Thai restaurant Zaab Zaab, offering a special menu that included a seafood soufflé. Prices fall into the $$$ range, but they're not unreasonable for the setting, portions, and execution. I ordered the crispy garlic shrimp--jumbo, perfectly battered, with just a touch of heat from the chiles. The portion was generous, though you have to order rice separately. Easily some of the best shrimp I've had and absolutely worth the price. My friend ordered the sea bass curry, which arrived wrapped in a banana leaf . She was expecting a bowl of curry and found the dish a little under-sauced, but she requested curry on the side, and the kitchen accommodated without issue. Service was good overall, though it was a bit difficult to get our server's attention at times. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I do plan to return. This is exactly the kind of restaurant you bring out-of-town friends to when you want to impress.

My daughter wanted to experience their famous Cho Lon Duck with me so here we came! The restaurant is beautiful and located right by the Columns Circle. The waitress was professional and helpful. She explained the portion of the duck is equivalent to 2 entrees, and recommended a few appetizers; they all sounded amazing. Since it's only 2 of us and can't take any leftovers b/c we're catching a show later so we only ordered the Netted chicken rolls besides the duck. The duck was Delicious! It came with 3 different sauces and the coconut rice was good too. The chicken spring rolls were made with double rice paper making it extra crunchy, great flavor and texture. It was an excellent lunch, highly recommend if you're in the area. Actually you should make a reservation b/c they're really popular.

This Columbus circle restaurant is just such a gem in the building. The bar is beautiful and fun, the tables comfortable and spacious, and the ambiance embodies a Thai drug lord lair in the sky, in the best possible way! The space truly stuns from the moment you walk in. Every cocktail was great with a refreshing Negroni and a stellar Sambal Margarita. The only thing not quite where I wanted it was the espresso martini at the end. Two dishes you must get are the duck and the dorade sashimi. They're both beautiful, incredibly tasty, and worth every dollar. Overall the menu is pricey, but no dish fell flat, and many items were straight up excellent! We had our baby with us and the staff was so kind and wonderful about that. Overall we ended up with a service team that made us great drinks, served us awesome food, and took good care of us! We'll be back, just hope someone else gets the bill

This restaurant, tucked away in Columbus Circle is truly beautiful. I want to commend the service- it is great. Came for a birthday dinner- sat at the bar while I waited for my table with my glass of wine. Got to my table - which had a prefix menu and it was great. I loved the duck tower, yellowtail, crab fried rice, branzino and short ribs.

Fine dining asian food. I went here for a work dinner otherwise it would be too expensive and not worth the price. Its fusion. All the seafood here was delicious. Be wary of the portion sizes that vary drastically.

Complementary birthday affogato and ube creme caramel

My friend treated me to a birthday dinner a few weeks ago. The sister restaurant from the same group that owns Bad Roman, which are both located inside the Shops at Columbus Circle. We started off with cocktails, and boy, they were strong!! My friend ordered the salted lychee Martini, and I ordered the Bangkok Screwdriver. We paired our drinks with the Grand Appetizer that had to be modified by replacing the lobster spring rolls with Vietnamese Bo La Lot. The chef was generous to give us a full order of this dish, and it was worth ordering it. The Grand Appetizer also consisted of pork cha gio rolls, chicken Satay, banh khot, and Yellowtail. For our entree, we shared the cho lon duck with a side of wok tossed long beans. We definitely enjoyed the long beans, meanwhile, the duck was beautifully presented, and the portion size was meant to be shared with 3-4 people. The duck is worth ordering for the experience and a fun DIY way to create your own peking duck wrap. My friend took the leftovers home. To end the night, we ordered the ube creme caramel, which was very good. However, we could not finish the dish because we were both full. and since we celebrated a birthday, we got a Thai ice coffee affogato on the house. The affogato was one of best I have had in a while. The coffee used was also strong. This place is so worth going to celebrate a special occasion or have a group dinner. I would definitely go back to experience their tasting menu and lunch special(s).

This place is is superb!! We came before going to the show and had the most delicious dinner complement the most amazing drinks. I wish I took more photos. Unfortunately, we were too busy eating everything. The service is top-notch and the ambience is wonderful facing Columbus Circle is perfect for a romantic beach or an intimate dinner with friends. The food was so delicious. We indulged in the tasting menu. The shaking beef and Grilled Branzino were our favorites! And that Ube Creme Caramel! Omg!! Delicious!!

We celebrated a birthday here, and the experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in. They seated us at a corner table by the window, perfect for an intimate celebration, and surprised the birthday guest with a sweet birthday card already set on the table. The restaurant has a romantic, luxurious vibe with a stunning view of Central Park and Columbus Circle. Every dish we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. We started a tasty and refreshing, papaya salad, the Cho Lon Duck came in three tiers -- it looks similar to Peking duck but with Thai spices and sauce, creating a flavorful Thai-style version. The royal dorade sashimi was fresh and paired with a Thai dipping sauce, giving it a refreshing twist. We also really enjoyed the lobster noodles and bamboo sticky rice. The desserts were outstanding -- especially the soufflé, which is a must-order. It takes about 20 minutes because it's made fresh, and the unique flavors (we tried the coconut red curry soufflé!) are something you won't find in any other Thai restaurant. They also offered a complimentary birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Even though the restaurant was full and busy, the staff never rushed us. They let us take our time and enjoy the evening, and the service throughout the night was truly exceptional. After dinner, my friend said she definitely plans to bring her family next time because she enjoyed it so much.

    Summer Roll

We went there on a Saturday night. We drove from NJ, and how lucky we got a free spot on 58th street. If you go just before 7, spots are available. We started with drinks at the bar, 4 w tip 100. Pretty good fir the city and they were not the junior ones some placed serve We're a bit older , mid 60's , nice happening feel. It was our first time, but are friends have been a few times. It's a sharing menu, so hopefully, you all like the same things. We started with Dorado sashimi. Kind of crazy how they serve it, as a whole fish with head, cut into sashimi bites. It was good, not great. We also had for apps the crab w mini pancakes and the summer roll. Both were good, not memorable. I like the dip for the summer roll most For dinner we shared the duck. We love parking duck and this was that with a better presentation. We also had the cod, excellent, but a very small portion. Overall food was an 8. The bartender and our server Tyler were a 10. We had 730 reservation and my wife complained that the bathroom was not that clean. I recommend as a good experience, but wouldn't go out my way to go back. Wish I snapped a pic of the duck, but I'm sure you'll see it on line. Price 500 plus tip.

Last night was my first time at Twin Tails. Immediately upon entry you are struck with this amazing decor, beautiful view of Columbus circle, and just an awe inspiring ambiance. Usually I note that the staff was great which they were, and they were very attentive, which they were. But I would would much like to highlight Pooja. She was above and beyond amazing. Pooja's knowledge of the each dish and drink coming out was amazing. She was also so welcoming as if I knew her for years. If you do make it to Twin Tails I'd ask for Pooja she'll definitely take care of you, just make sure you take care of her yelpers. As for the food we had so much and if could write that I disliked something I would. But I can't. Every single thing was an explosion of flavors, contrasts of textures. Every dish was an artistic representation of Vietnamese cuisine without skipping out on flavor. Some places the food may look nice but doesn't stack up in the flavor department this is not one of those places. Some standouts for me were the dorade sashimi, if they would of gave me a cup of that cilantro sauce it came with I would've been happy with that so much flavor added onto such a tender sweet piece of fish. Another the pork shank which was juicy, yet crisp and packed with flavor. The glass noodles just put that in a bucket and I'll be a happy camper. Twin tails is relatively new so I'd definitely head there ask for Pooja, and enjoy the meal experience you've been yearning for.

Ask the Community - Twin Tails

When is the tasting menu available?

To my knowledge the tasting available is available at least during dinner and it's family style. Hope this helps.

Is this restaurant in the old Bad Roman spot?

No, it's the complete opposite side. If Bad Roman is north of the building, Twin Tails is south. Both restaurants are open and operational

Angel helped guide our order, paced the food well for a group, and made us feel taken care of from start to finish. Drinks were a highlight: bright, refreshing cocktails (we loved the mint/cucumber moment and a spritz-y option). We ordered a few plates to share and everything hit. The bao were fluffy and satisfying, and the crispy chicken was a standout. Finished with a light, not-too-sweet dessert that was the perfect ending. Would recommend for a casual celebration or a coworker night out.
