The seafood Tom yum not authentic
    Laila R.

If you're looking for good authentic Thai food this is not the place. I bookmarked this place because 4.4 stars i was excited to try. It was nowhere near my hotel but i made the trek over to Love Mama cause i wanted something good for dinner that wasn't pizza. Nothing had flavor. The flavor of everything was oil. The only thing that saved the meal was the sambal we requested. We slathered it in our food for flavor. The Pineapple fried rice, so bland zero flavor I didn't even get a Pineapple and usually there is cashews in this dish and there were none of those in there either. The Tom yum was the best thing we tried but it wasn't authentic. The drunken noodles didn't have fresh Thai basil in it, it had dried regular basil in it, my son asked why it tasted like Italian food is that oregano on top. If you look close you'll see it in the photo dried crushed basil. I really hate leaving bad reviews but they fact this place has such a high rating is insane.

    Malaysian Fried Fish Fillet
    Bruce H.

Fusion Asian restaurants are usually a problem and this one was no different. I had a delivery order of Shrimp Summer Roll, Northern Style Papaya Salad, Malaysian Fried Fish Fillet and Vietnamese Lemon Grass Chicken. The appetizers...shrimp spring rolls and papaya salad were quite good. However, the main dishes were lacking. The lemon grass chicken was overcooked and had only the mildest "scent" of lemon grass. The Malaysian Fried Fish Fillet reminded me of Americanized sweet and sour sauce and nothing like what I remember having in Malaysia. I should have known to get the Nasi Goreng, instead. Packing and delivery were fine, but in all, a disappointing meal. Cannot recommend.

    Chicken Rendang

Casual restaurant, friendly service, ok food. I had high expectations for the food based on reviews and thought it was mediocre. Tasty but not standout and had the feel of food off a hot station/buffet line. Prices are decent, portion size certainly filling.

An amazing lunch special in the east village! The restaurant is empty on weekdays but their lunch specials are so worth it and delicious. It comes with your choice of a main as well as a drink. The service was quick and efficient and I loved the music and decor of the restaurant too. Highly recommend for a quick and affordable lunch!

The food was phenomenal here. Service was great and fast. It's a cozy corner restaurant close to a concert that I was heading to at Irving plaza.

Really delicious fusion Asian food. The menu offered Malaysian, Thai, and Vietnamese food and they were all tasty

There's a mix of malaysian, thai, and viet food on the menu. The laksa has a thick, flavorful broth. I also really liked the roti canai and the flakey roti!

Staffs are friendly. There's Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Thai cuisine all under one roof. I had a bowl of Pho Beef in a cold winter weekend which was much needed. The Pho Beef was great and ended the night with desserts- Mango Sticky Rice Coconut Cream. A fresh slice of mango covered with coconut cream on top of layer of sticky rice. Let the servers know if you're allergic to sesame seeds because they sprinkled some on top of the Mango Sticky Rice Coconut Cream. Overall, food was delicious. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5

My girlfriend & I came on a Saturday afternoon & it was empty. We were seated right away and our orders were taken within 10 min. It had a simple oriental ambiance with both indoor & outdoor seating. We started off with the roti canai which was freshly prepared (the curry not being too spicy at all) we had a Thai noodle dish and a Malaysian curry noodle dish (both were kinda spicy) but super tasty! I usually don't enjoy spicy dishes due to my low tolerance but I could definitely find myself getting these dishes again. Very friendly staff and even tastier food, would recommend if you're in the st marks area looking for Malaysian/thai eats

This restaurant offers great Thai food, and a very flavorful and "saucy" Pad Thai is a highlight. The dishes are served on disposable plates, making the meal informal, but the quality of the meals is very good and always enjoyable.

    Chicken Curry Laska
    Lucia C.

It's a very informal setting. The food is good but it's more of a "let's eat and go" vibe. I ordered their chicken laska which has a wonderful flavor! I would do this with seafood next time around. Their shrimp summer rolls were also fresh and delicious. Food is reasonably priced and the staff is friendly.

Walking past this unassuming but heart-warming restaurant and decided to make a stop here. Oh so glad I did! Loveee the Rendang Nasik Lemak - the beef was so tender and the curry had a kick too. The roti was phenomenal and came out piping out. Mango sticky rice was also delicious - the mango was sweet and ripe. Very friendly owner and staff. Would love to come back!

But the employees were everywhere and they look to be working in unison with each other. It almost felt like a fine dining restaurant without quite the price tag. I would strongly recommend you make a reservation. The tables are not that big so you might want to think about ordering too much food. You only get 90 minutes to dine, but our server was a little generous with that time limit as there wasn't any one waiting when we left. All of the dishes we ordered was good in it's own right. The pork belly fried rice had a hint of sweetness to it. I think it might be tamarind or something. But I could totally be off based. The crispy bits of pork belly added a nice texture. It's nothing like I've ever had before. The short ribs was fantastic. Full of flavor and fall of the bones tender. The papaya salad is something that was very familiar to all of the others I've had. Very comforting. Overall, I would definitely come back here and receiving great service on top of the great tasting food was all I could have asked for.

I'm a Thai foodie from California and I really loved SaiTong! The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.
