We advised Trish immediately that my dog is a service dog and Trish became argumentative and asked "is she working right now?" as her vest was not on at the time. Service dogs in Ontario are not required to wear vests at all times (whether working or not). Trish should know this and not argue with customers trying to inform her of the laws regarding access to people with disabilities to which her response (with an incredibly rude and hostile attitude) was "well, if public health comes in here they will shut me down". At this point we left due to her attitude. I briefly returned and confirmed with the other server that Trish was indeed the person who was rude to us a minute earlier. If the business decides to respond to this message with anything disputing the above then that would be a lie. We will probably be reporting the AODA violation to the Ontario Government.
