Disappointing because we have always been satisfied with Visser. Called specifically for filter changeout and maintenance. Tech worked for 30 minutes and told us we need a new filter and be sure not to buy the cheap ones. Thanks for advice for $140. We will not be using Visser again. read more

Requested installation of new HVAC system with humidifier. Received a discount as off season in September. No problems through first winter. Only mistake was installing the wrong humidifier. When I called them the next day, they were able to work with my schedule and come out and install the correct one. They also installed an Ecobee thermostat. Overall happy with the experience and help getting the state rebates on time. I have used them in the past for repairs on the old hvac system and can't complain. No heat yesterday morning. Well below 30" of snowfall in 2 weeks. About 12" in 24 hours. Whole family's in layers and hats, home e-learning and remote working. I call Visser 1st thing in the morning they give me an arrival time between 11 and 3:00 p.m. This cold snap must make today one of their busiest days of the year. Brad arrives at 3:30 (they called before 3pm announcing a slight delay), mask on, shoes off, goes down into the basement and we have heat in 15 minutes. He scolds me for my filthy ass filter, unscrewed and tapped a switch to reset it and we we're back in business. The furnace is ancient. The switch is ancient. I had no heat. Visser had me over a barrel. He could have installed a new switch and charged me any amount of money. He could have NOT installed the new switch and charged me any amount of money. Instead he charged me for service call plus 15 minutes and told me the cost of a new switch should I consider changing it in the future. Visser is local and honest. They will be my 1st call every time. read more

LIFE-saving company!! My heat went out on one of those below 30 nights, being that it was a Sunday night, on call can be costly but they said they could come first thing in the morning because for us, money was tight. They came 8 am, diagnosed, left, got the part and came back within a few hours!!!! Installed, and heat back on!! Also, that part that broke was a difficult part to find and the toughest to fix from what I hear, but Visser had NO PROBLEMS!! I will definitely be calling them again! read more

We had a problem with our air conditioner, we called Visser to explain the issue, and they came after hours. Of course, this issue happened during the massive heatwave Elmhurst had for over a week. They came out so promptly to find out what the issue was we were beyond pleased. They got us up and running on a temporary basis just to ensure we were comfortable until the problem would be actually fixed. We got multiple quotes, but Visser came in with a very aggressive price quote that no where else could touch. He won over our business for sure. The job they did was amazing from start to finish. I've been working with George for the past 10 years; I found him because he had a local reputation of being honest. Our first house was old and we were broke and he always did the best he could to repair what we couldn't afford to replace. He was always kind and would even talk through the problem over the phone with my dad because I was clueless when it comes to HVAC. In our next house we just had bad luck. The A/C went and we replaced it only to have a power surge burn the whole thing out within a year. George replaced the unit for literally n/c. Over the winter our furnace (which I'm pretty sure was just 2 cave men rubbing sticks together) finally died. He replaced the furnace with a high efficiency unit. He did a great job, kept the cost down, recycled the old unit, and I couldn't be happier. Great family owned business that rose above and beyond to help me out. I had a hot water heater that would not stay lit. After calling and talking with one of the Visser boys I was given a few DIY suggestions to see if I could save myself before they made the trip out. This was right at the beginning of the winter season and they were jammed with cold calls, meaning I was down on their list a little bit. After unsuccessfully attempting to remedy the problem I called back and requested a tech to come out. I was told Monday at the earliest(I called on a Friday evening) due to their high volume of appointments already booked. I took the appointment and even contemplated calling elsewhere to see about getting someone else out sooner but decided not because I had heard such great things about Visser. Visser did not disappoint...just the next morning I received a call from them saying that they could squeeze me in and would be stopping by that morning. What great customer service! After a brief visit from them my hot water heater was up and running. Needless to say I I now go to Visser for all my HVAC needs.
