    Tacos

Many trucks in Napa but this stands out because of their hand-made-to-order blue corn tortilla tacos! Fresh, tasty and nutrient packed! You can choose your own meats. Ordered the chicken (breast) and pork-belly ( asada)! Very tasty with the salsa. The Pupusa is the best in town with signature fresh pickled cabbage salad on the side. Every bite just & crunch just supreme! Finish it off with their fresh drinks!

Today I really wanted to eat healthier, so I searched Yelp for a place to visit that served Jackfruit. I located this place which was a few towns over and decided to take the drive to try the food after reading all of the reviews. This place was so worth it! The customer service was excellent. I had questions, she had answers. I immediately noticed the cars parked around the parking lot and I'm sure they were all eating the great food! My order was the Vegan Tacos - they had just enough spice and everything on the inside was seasoned perfectly. The drink was great as well. It wasn't too sweet and just enough strawberry. I already know I will go back to visit this place.

Plastic fork dang near bigger than this "super burrito"

15 dollars for one of the smallest "super burritos" I've seen. Also asked for extra sour cream and they re-assured me it was in there when I picked it up.. see pic of this pathetic burrito and no signs of sour cream.. plastic fork for reference of size pathetic!!!

incredible bean and cheese and chicken and cheese papusa

Outrageously good bean and cheese papusas... the chicken and cheese papusa is also fabulous, and the al pastor taco on their thick blue corn tortilla is so delicious. Skip the plantains with the crema, they're just eh, and instead opt for their refreshing horchata. 5 stars!!!!

I've been craving a yummy pupusa and I am so glad the boyfriend and I drove pass this Veteran owner, family operated food truck! We got there at a good time because after we placed an order, card started lining up being their truck! The menu is simple; which I loved a lot. It makes ordering quick, simple but still satisfying. I ordered a chicken pupusa and it was everything I hoped for! It didn't taste too greasy or too salty to me. It was just right. Every bite was satisfying. For $5, it's a decent size and totally worth it because it is filled with your choice of meat! I was surprised to see it even came with 4 slices of plantains! Super yummy and sweet! My boyfriend, Dario O., ordered the steak quesadilla. It was huuuuge!! Each quesadilla was packed with meat and cheese! So every single bite will amaze your taste buds with the tender and flavorful meat and cheese. This was $12. Sounds pricey? But I promise you, it is worth it! Great sharing size as well. I will most definitely be making a quick stop the next time I see their food truck! The service was fast and the food was delicious and fresh! Check in on Yelp and get a free drink!! 100% recommend this family owned food truck!

i had order this on doordash and i was actually running late for pick up as soon i got there my order wasn't done right , and they made me wait 15 more mins just to get this bad food service and just one egg when it was supposed to be three since it was 3 separate orders

Great food and great service though I was not a fan of the steak taco it may just be due to my unfamiliarity with the blue corn tortilla

    The orange truck :-)
    Andy N.

This is probably the best food truck along Soscol Ave. I've had their tacos, quesadillas, and their burritos and they all tasted "homemade". Yes I said homemade. The crew behind the windows are all friendly and they have also supported my business as well. When driving down Soscol or visiting Napa, give these folks in the orange truck a try. They beat brick and mortal and overpriced restaurants any day.

2 Pastor tacos and a carne asada taco

Tip: If you check in on Yelp, you get a free Agua Fresca! Saw this food truck parked right outside of our hotel in Napa (The River Terrace Inn). My boyfriend was super excited to see this truck. He's Salvadoran and grew up there and so he absolutely loves pupusas. If you've never had a pupusa, it's basically a pocket of corn filled with cheese, beans, and/or meat. Good ones can be a bit hard to find in the Bay Area, but this place did not disappoint! We were super hungry so I ordered 2 frijole and queso pupusas, 2 queso pupusas, 2 pastor tacos, 1 carne asada taco and the plantains with crema. Each pupusa is $5 each but they are large, so it's worth it! The entire order came out to be about $45 including tax and tip but it was definitely worth it for the amount of food we got (it ended up being too much food.) Everything we tried was delicious, especially the pupusas. The cheese inside was melty (and very authentic, according to my boyfriend.) They serve it with red tomato salsa and curtido (a vinegar coleslaw) as well. Bonus: it's a family-owned and veteran-owned business, so you should definitely stop by and show them your support!

Love their freshly made pupusas - the revuelta is my favorite! The perfectly griddled outside holds the soft, creamy blend of beans and meat on the inside. I dunk each bite into their tangy salsa and finish with a bite of their slaw. The people are also lovely and I always enjoy my meal!

It's a small and casual operation - there's a large seating area behind the restaurant with self serve water. Limited parking out front, and the back lot (with the seating) also has some space for parking, but it's not hard to find parking in the surrounding area. The food here is awesome - deep flavors and genuinely a ton of craft in their work (tamales and tortillas made fresh, you can see them making it through the window by the register). The food is pretty classic, but just executed so well - I really don't think you can go wrong. My personal favorites are the mole enchiladas / tamales (gently sweet, smoky mole, not overly chocolatey and really balanced, especially with a side of pickles) and the fish tacos (GIGANTIC).

I felt it had all the components to be successful. I liked the texture of the batter. It also wasn't plain so that was nice. Good ingredients and flavors for sure. What came up short was the ratio of batter to fish. Way too much batter for the amount of fish. Also it was totally the wrong fish for the batter. Way too soft. I don't know how you eat these in the restaurant but they are a mess. If I'm paying almost twenty bucks for fish tacos. I think I might expect slightly more elegance. Menu did look very interesting. Let's start with the salsa. I don't know what they put in their salsa. I know the main ingredients of salsa, but their salsa? Oh my gosh. It is delicious. It's my favorite salsa. I'm sitting here stuffed from dinner, and I still want some right now. My husband loves the chorizo burrito. He's ordered it both times we've visited. It's this big, gigantic burrito that looks impossible to eat, but somehow he manages. On our most recent visit, we ordered the chicken flautas as an appetizer. First of all, the flautas themselves were delicious. The seasoning on the chicken had flavors that felt familiar, but with a twist of something I've never had before. And the smokiness of the sauce on the flautas? Delicious. Just absolutely delicious. I also ordered the salmon, which was perfectly seasoned. I believe it normally comes with vegetables, but mine came with a salad instead. Whatever the reason, that salad was outstanding. It was so fresh and flavorful. There may have been apple, pear, or jicama in it... I honestly couldn't tell... but every bite was delicious. The atmosphere is fantastic, too. Elena took care of us on both visits. She makes it feel like you're visiting somebody's home. She is absolutely warm and hilarious at the same time. What really surprised me was that she remembered the beverage my husband ordered on our previous visit. I was like, "How long ago was that? Three months ago?" Another young lady came around and asked how we were doing as well. Very hospitable. Again, I really can't believe there weren't lines out the door. I mean, it's a cool crowd, don't get me wrong. But y'all are asleep. Don't sleep on this place. Y'all need to get there. I'm telling you... just wait.

I came across La Esperanza while looking up the phone number for my usual spot in Vallejo and decided to give them a try. They're located in American Canyon in the Lola's Market plaza, next to the pho restaurant. We arrived around 4 PM on a weekday, and there were only about three occupied tables. Although staff saw us come in, no one greeted us. After waiting a few minutes, I finally asked if we could sit anywhere. We were seated near the door and received menus shortly afterward. A gentleman came over to take our order and asked if we wanted water. We waited about 20 minutes, possibly longer, for our food. Unfortunately, our water never arrived, and our order came out incorrectly. We ordered six pupusas but only received four. Nobody explained which pupusas were which, so we ended up accidentally eating each other's food. As for the food itself, I wasn't impressed. The pupusas were much too soft and mushy for my taste. The beans were chunky, which is something I've never experienced before in a pupusa. Having eaten pupusas from countless places over the years, I know there are much better options out there. Overall, I won't be returning. The prices are high for what you receive, and the poor service made the experience even more disappointing. Eating out and supporting local businesses is already expensive, and when both the food and service fall short, it's hard to justify coming back.
