Quite underwhelming unfortunately. The place was nice and the service was good but, the food was just okay! I went with a pretty large work group and it was just so so honestly! Very glad it didn't come out of my pocket personally because it's quite pricy. The Mushroom pizza was pretty yummy and the arancini was cool but the carbonara was one of the least pleasing things I've eaten in a while.... We made reservations for 10 and got their semi private room. Service was very good. Our waitress explained the menu and made some good recommendations. Although all the food was good. The garlic bread was so soft and delicious. There was some chili peppers on it and the garlic butter that made it so good. I got the Ceasar side salad which was very fresh. The brazino was so good. Average tasting food with good presentation. The restaurant is modern and sleek but the food did not hit. One order came out late as one of the meals was wrong. They did the right thing and didn't charge but it was on corporate card anyway. I've heard the cocktails are much better but... we made jokes the nedt day that we had to cut our own salad up as the Caesar is a small head of romaine akin to an iceberg wedge. This is the best Italian food I have had since being in Italy! It is so authentic and delicious! I wish we'd had more time to explore some appetizers but we got here late and the kitchen was soon to close. We asked both Bobby and Jose for their go to items on the menu and they offered us some wonderful suggestions. Insomuch that we listened to them! Both dishes - the Arrabbiata with meatballs and Rigatoni E salsiccia were devine! You could tell the pasta was made from scratch and it was cooked perfectly!! i could close my eyes and travel back in time when we were in Italy. The vodka sauce, the tomatoes, the sausage, the meatballs - all of it....was just insanely fresh and delicious!! Every bit authentic! I've eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times I thought the food was pretty average. I usually give restaurants two times because anyone can have an off night, but there are too many restaurants that are better than average. Plus the last time we were in we had gnats. We came here for a birthday dinner on a weekday evening. The ambience is cozy and elegant. The service and food were both excellent. For the appetizer, we tried the recommended truffle garlic bread. The bread was soft and pillowy and the truffle butter was delicious. We then tried the Moderno salad, which was light, fresh, and dressed well. For the main course, we tried the Pappardelle, featuring tender house-made pasta with braised pork shoulder. It was flavorful and hearty. The Arrabbiata with meatballs had a mild spicy kick but not overpowering overall. A small gift box tied with ribbon was delivered at the end of the meal. Inside of the box was a $20 off coupon for a future visit which was a nice touch. We're definitely looking forward to coming back to try more dishes! read more

They have food and cocktail specials. The bartenders were friendly and offered lively conversation. We had the cheese pizza - it was so cheesy and delicious. It's Neapolitan style. I did peek at the menu and lots of beef and pork and some fish. Limited options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free diets. If you're in the area it's worth a stop. Every time I eat at Plate I'm underwhelmed. The food is just fair, in my opinion. For the price, I just expect a better quality and more options. While the creamy ricotta and blistered sea salted tomatoes were delicious, it lacked acid for me. I also ordered arugula salad which was a perfect acid balance that the bruschetta was missing. What a wonderful experience!! Our server, Allison, was super sweet and accommodating! The restaurant got a little loud as it filled up, but was fine otherwise, and the food... oh my goodness! What a masterpiece. Our starters were ricotta + tomato bruschetta, focaccia bread and brussel sprouts- all of which were fantastic- the flavor on the sprouts was incredible! I ordered the rigatoni for my main meal- it was delicious, the shrimp was well cooked and the vodka sauce was so good. Everyone else liked their dishes as well!! This new, upscale restaurant at Park Place features modern Italian cuisine, a good selection of wines and a full bar with happy hour specials. The mushroom pizza ($16 lunch) was served just 14 minutes after I ordered at the table, where the service was friendly, professional and attentive - nice! The pizza measured 10", with a generous amount of tasty mushroom varieties and a delicious cheese on a chewy, crunchy crust. I liked the stylish, modern dining area with glass separators to keep the noise down, a private event room, the somewhat open kitchen with pizza oven, techno background music and plenty of natural light. Unfortunately, the menu posted on the internet listed fewer items and lower prices than the menu at the restaurant. Overall, it was a very nice, upscale experience at wonderful Park Place. read more

Went for dinner with the family. We had a reservation but took a few minutes to get seated. Our waitress was a very nice girl, explained some of the specials and promptly took drink orders. We ordered the garlic bread which was a whole loaf apparently. I was expecting it to be a little more flavorful but it was more like a loaf of challah bread or something you could get at Whole Foods brushed with just a bit of garlic and truffle. It was not bad, but definitely not worth $14. We got a 14oz KC strip and the branzino fish. The KC strip was amazing. Perfectly cooked medium, with a lot of flavor and an herb butter topping. It had very little fat cap or waste which was a pleasant surprise. The branzino was also very flavorful. For dessert we got a chocolate ganache BOMBE and an Affogato, both were delicious. read more

Came for a happy hour event and was pleasantly surprised how the remodel turned out. Gone are all traces of the old California Pizza Kitchen, replaced with a cool grey and white quietly classy vibe. It feels both new and timeless. Each person I interacted with was warm and welcoming. I enjoyed a cold glass of sparkling Moscato and sampled some of the appetizers available in the beautiful spread. The pear bruschetta was a totally new experience. And I have had the arancini rice balls before and thought "meh" but I am so glad I tried one here. Consider me concerted!!! This time we tried the Branzino, which was not only perfectly cooked, but came with both wonderful warm roasted carrots, but a cold caponata with pine nuts that brought some piquant contrast to the rich, warm tastes on the plate. The desserts are wonderful, as well. They have an excellent craft bar, but a very limited supply of top shelf that services it. Service was top-notch, from the wait staff. This is absolutely one of my favorite places! It's so beautiful inside with a clean modern look. The host was happily greeting everyone who walked in. It was fun listening to him and he clearly loves his job. It's hard to find that these days! I've been many times and never had anything but a wonderful experience. There were many items on the menu that I would re-order for sure however, this is a place that you really need to go several times to discover different items. I saw photos of this place, but was still taken back by the interior. It's SOO nice! It's very sleek, modern, and up-scale. I just kept admiring the decor and fixtures while we waited for our food. For the area and style of restaurant it was highly disappointing for an Italian restaurant. We were there during brunch/lunch hours.
