This is a great happy hour spot! Wine bottles were 25% off during happy hour. My friends and I shared their charcuterie and beignets and all were delicious. It fed 3 people a well. Live music also on a Wednesday as well. Service was top tier. Looking forward to going back!

This isn't my first experience at Louie's, however, this is my first time participating in a wine-paired dinner with the ability to try many of the VinZant wines. Mr. VinZant was our taste-Director for the evening and we all received education in the history of the VinZant winery. It was an extremely tasty experience, and as I was sat with people I did not know, the night, took on a fun-tourist-like experience. Each of the courses were well prepared and happily consumed. And although in the end, I did not choose to join the wine club, I will be happy to look for their wines in local stores. Best Rosé I've had! I plan to return to this restaurant again, and continue to enjoy all of the restaurants under the VinZant umbrella.

Middle-of-the-road restaurant in Overland Park - had dinner here with colleagues today. The evening started well with an old-fashioned cocktail, crisp pecan Brussels sprouts, and a cheese and salumi charcuterie board. These filled me up a bit so I decided to try something other than the popular four-pork gnocchi. The waitress recommended the baked goat cheese appetizer, as it was her favorite item on the menu. Unfortunately, the goat cheese appetizer was not tasty. It was also quite a large portion, which defeated the purpose of me skipping the gnocchi. I mostly ate the toasted naan it was served with. The team wanted dessert, so we decided to share an order of beignets. These were quite big but not soft or fluffy like I expected, and were a fitting end to an evening that started out well but went downhill from there. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.

My daughter took me out for dinner and wine for my birthday and we chose this restaurant based on their marked menu with allergens. I really appreciate a restaurant that has allergens listed on their main menu. The restaurant/bar is modern, clean and attractive. We were seated immediately but came early on a Thursday. It was quit busy even at 4:30 and became packed very quickly. They have a reservation line and a link on their website. It was loud but manageable with conversation. We tried out some wine that was on their happy hour menu and we also ordered dinner. I ordered a gluten-free dish for myself. My daughter said that her meal was good and so is her wine. My wine was good and my meal was generally good except that the chicken piccata was slightly dry. I believe that it said it had lemon caper sauce, and I didn't notice that much on it. Our server was nice and checked back with us. We would go back again.

Louie's, as aways, is a favorite brunch destination. While they always have great food, they had changed their menu and dropped one of my favorite sandwiches. But hey the new items are good. Our server was quick with an alternate for my favorite, and I wasn't disappointed.

My friends and I grab brunch here every few months. They have a few drink menu even though they advertise as a wine dive. Bloody Mary's can either be ordered spicy or regular. They have a small selection of signature cocktails. I ordered the breakfast burrito, it was a good size with a small side salad. The burrito itself is packed with ingredients. While we were there it was rather quite which I feel at least for brunch in normal at least when we have been there.

I probably went to this place a couple of times, but never had an experience which made me write a review but this time yes ended up catching up with a friend in the restaurant over some cocktails. I must say the waiter was young and pretty near the restaurant. Maybe his name was Nathan super nice guy help me pick the best dishes gave me feedback about how things would taste and what would be the favorite things to try from the store kept checking on us to make sure you're doing good very humble and a nice person taking care of us . I'll give him five on five for the service ambience is not bad. I think they can make it look more wine and dine kind of place with more options of wine selection. I ended up having a conversation about the store doing any wine nights. The manager came up to me and told me they do and give me some info about their partnering stores. Definitely gonna visit this place.

Food - great Service - great Atmosphere- dark bar vibes This turned out as an Excellent Plan B for a late lunch on Tuesday 10/29/24. 1st I had 1/2 of the.... CRISPY PECAN BRUSSELS SPROUTS candied pecans, sweet serrano sauce, shaved green onion, sprinkled parmesan Great flavor and a really close compare to the fried Bru.Sp @ KC Craft Ramen 2nd I had 1/2 of the... 4 PORK GNOCCHI house-made gnocchi, prosciutto, Italian sausage, bacon, pork shoulder, red wine cream sauce. OMG was this a savory soupy, gnocchi filled dish! It hits several different areas of the taste buds that are already happy from the Bru.spt appetizer Leftovers galore after this meal, as it was a little pricey, but 3 meals for the price makes it easier to swallow.

I've been a fan if Louie's since their Waldo days but I don't get out there as much anymore. The food is still stellar, though, and the service has always been great. I didn't get it on this visit, but the Four Pork Gnocchi is by far my favorite dish of theirs- I highly recommend it if it's your first visit. This time I got the Cheese Curds, which were very good (although the dill in the aioli was an odd choice, to me), and the Swordfish au Poivre which was delicious. I've gotta get out for brunch soon, it used to be my favorite in Kansas City!

Emily's EMILYS APPLE HARVEST SALAD
Jordan B.

We popped in on Sunday, Easter Sunday to be exact and caught the restaurant all but empty except a few patrons at the bar. It was around 3:30pm, which, honestly, may have been the ideal time to visit as there were probably 3 more tables seated when we left and more people pulling in the parking lot. Because of our timing, the bartender was also our server and she was delightful. I got the sangria and it's one of my favorite in town! Hubs got Emily's Apple Harvest Salad, and although it was a heavier balsamic vinaigrette than he usually likes, he said the tart apple and tangy goat cheese were a nice balance. I got the 4 Pork Gnocchi and I have no regrets and no notes. It was sweet porky perfection. Seriously, if you love pork...please try this, I was in literal hog heaven. Overall, it was a nice, quiet visit to Louie's before the evening rush and we had a lovely time with some delicious food and great service!

It really threw off the vibe. I was seated right away, and my waiter, Chris, was friendly. He walked me through their extensive menu of wines and even recommended a few. I decided to try a sweet wine flight, and he tried to warn me that it was very sweet, but I didn't listen. The flight was super sweet. There wasn't a single one that I enjoyed. Chris did recommend another wine, Fragolino, and I loved it. I could've drank it all day. I wanted a bottle of it to go, but sadly, they were out. Hopefully, when I return, it will be in stock. Next visit, I'll go with something not so sweet.

Our server was super chill and helpful at suggesting wines. We got 2 reds that were a little on the sweeter side which was great because I want to get more into reds but they're usually too dry or too sweet and these were perfect. We didn't get any food since we were heading to eat afterwards. But the menu looked like it was pretty decent. We'll definitely have to come back to try it. I really enjoyed that the owner was there and working. The extra care for the company shows in how well it's kept! Overall, I definitely suggest you check it out. Super cute for a quick date night like we did, a girls night or just to check it out.

The space is smallish but they do have bar seating in addition to seating throughout. The service was friendly and the drinks were great. They don't offer food, but they do offer cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. I went on a Sunday and they have a special menu called "Almost Monday." It's a smaller, simpler cocktail menu and the prices are very fair compared to other cocktail spots. I tried the Caipirinha (pineapple) and the Negroni sour. Both were good. My favorite between the two was the Negroni. It had a pretty color and wasn't too sour or strong. I'd def recommend it and get it again. Definitely stop in and check out this cute spot in Shawnee.

When you arrive there is parallel parking available outside the bar. When you walk in you'll feel like your bright, vibrant, and feels incredibly welcoming. Also, they have some really fun drinks as well that have been thoughtfully put together. We ended up sitting at the bar and I started with the Reformed Porn Star (vanilla vodka, bronson's tropical milk punch, passion fruit, Prosecco, citric acid and popping boba) which was by far my favorite drink and felt like I could have drank a couple more of these. Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone). If you are in the area, this bar is a must try, the bartenders were awesome and took good care of us. Between the creative cocktails, fun atmosphere, unique floral setting, this was a memorable experience I'd definitely return for.

The fig and burrata salad was a highlight definitely a must-try and the chestnut soup was warm, rich, and comforting.
