A burst of bold flavors for a solid snack!…read more We came for early lunch to try their wagyu and veggie dogs. There was a line but it went fast, we waited ~5 mins and received our dogs, lemonade, and fries within 10 mins. The wagyu termimayo dog was bursting with flavor from the sausage, and balanced well with the mayo/teriyaki/fried onions/seaweed. The veggie okonomi was also yummy with flavorful sausage, sauce, and cabbage (we didn't get the bonito flakes). We also ordered the butter and shoyu fries which were well-seasoned with a shoyu powder and didn't feel any more greasy with butter than regular fries. The yuzu lemonade was surprisingly good, the yuzu flavor was natural, strong, and didn't overpower the lemonade. There is a station where you can get sriracha, ketchup, mayo, and pickled jalapenos on the side to customize your dog to your liking. The interior felt unique and cozy, while still being clean. There is a good amount of seating indoor and outdoor. Typical street parking. Wasn't filling enough to count for a full lunch for us, but a great snack bite!

The menu has a lot of options, but my favorites were the Wagyu Beef Dog (#11) and the Pork Dog (#1). Both were packed with flavor and loaded with the signature Japanese-inspired toppings that made Japadog famous. The combination of savory meats, sauces, and fresh toppings takes a simple hot dog to another level. Quick service, great late-night eats, and a Vancouver classic that's worth trying at least once.

This is a new food stand that opened up not too long ago in the International Food Court. I wasn't…read moreinterested in trying it until my colleague highly recommended it. She said the portion is big and for a meal that includes rice or noodle, veggies and a meat option is only $8. She was right. I couldn't go wrong for such a cheap price and especially it is located downtown. I looked at the food options and a lot of the menu items were spicy. Except for 2 dishes: honey pork and beef brisket. Yes I went with the honey pork. It was good and I guess because it was entirely meat I think I got less compared if I chose beef stir fried with veggies. Like I said it is an inexpensive meal. I am personally not a fan of Chinese food. I would say it was ok but I don't think I would have it often. The owner there was very friendly and nice. You also get free tea if you eat in at the food court. I mean you could get the free tea to go but I didn't bother. I have tea at work.

Black Pearl is one of the newer entrants to the food court, so I figured I'd give it a shot during one of my lunch hours. I ordered the Combo (7.95) and got the extra item (2.50) for the heck of it; I chose the chicken cutlet and the beef stew. The Chicken Cutlet was a bit on the oilier side, wasn't really that crispy, and mainly tasted of salt. Beef Stew was more flavourful, though was super duper fatty, even for brisket. There were a few bits of daikon strewn throughout. Overall, the food isn't the best, but you get what you pay for: a fairly large portion of warm food that while not the best quality, will definitely fill you.
