My husband and I both had the Mediterranean Bowl (with chicken, and lamb patties respectively) for take out. The plastic container felt like a beautiful microcosmos of a complete meal: Enough meat and a little feta, yoghurt sauce and hummus as protein, good curried rice and fresh pita wedges as carbs, and fresh salad, all very tasty. The only issue is we must get accustomed to their waiting time. We were told to wait for 15 minutes, but actually it took more than 40 minutes for us to get our meals. Wow this truck was slammed tonight! Service was long but worth the wait. My falafel hit the spot! I was afraid it was going to be dry because they kept running out of things on the menu but luckily ended up perfect and flavorful. This falafel is slightly spicier than most I have had and they kept the tomato whole vs. diced or chopped. So, when the kitchen has closed at your bar, and you're needing some food on upper king in the late hours this place is your savior. I had the lamb gyro, very authentic and tasty. Prices are a bit higher than you'd expect, but I was --let's say-- a captive audience. Just as a FYI: Don't have your heart set on just one item, since they do run out of stuff. read more

Don't walk, RUN to this place. I don't even like greek food and everything we tried was delicious. Really good people in the truck, great place to bring your pup and sit outside. They have fans for those of you that get quite hot and ice cold water. They have mini put put golf and huge jenga too! First off, the people here are so personable and kind! I had no clue what I wanted for lunch and the gentleman who took my order gave me an awesome suggestion. When he brought me my food, he asked about a Polaroid photo I had laying on the table (I use it as a bookmark) and struck up a small conversation about travel. I felt very welcome there. We had passed this food truck multiple times saying we should try it and tonight we finally did. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. When we put in our order (a Gyro and a Hillbilly) the guy (Anthony P) said it should be less than 15 minutes. So we played the games that were there while we waited. Well we played all of them (which took approximately 20 minutes) and then still sat and waited over 20 more minutes. All the while Anthony and the other 2 employees were standing around talking VERY Loudly about inappropriate topics and cursed numerous times. When we finally got our food, it was pretty good, but you would also assume spending OVER $10 for an "entree" it would have came with fries or something. Therefore, $30 and 45 minutes later, we more than likely will not be returning. read more

The food is pretty good but the service is even better! I placed an order on DoorDash for the Raspberry Dream Salad with Chicken & a Greek platter. 2 of my items were not included. I called and even though I didn't like the phone/communication setup (text or voicemail only), they were happy to deliver the missing items. No hassle at all! I absolutely must say this little food truck is a gem. Their feta fries are never soggy even after being in the box. The seasoning on them is phenomenal. The chicken gyro is awesome they even include actual fries on the gyro which makes it even better. If you like Greek food this place is a must try. They never disappoint. read more

I'd been meaning to try Platia for a while and finally got my chance this weekend. So glad I did! I got the chicken gyros which was delicious. Big, well-seasoned pieces of chicken AND falafel AND fries (and extra olives and feta added) on it. It was terrific---even when I dropped half of it on myself). I also tried the two dessert options: the baklava was flaky and sweet without the bitterness you sometimes find in baklava. And the kourabiedes cookies were AMAZING, light and sweet without being too sweet. The staff/cooks were friendly and the food truck location is convenient. A win all around! read more

I ordered Platia through UberEats and all I can say is, WOW. I had a pork gyro and it was so perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious. The hummus was amazing as well and the amount of pita that came with it was more than enough. This is a hidden gem of Charleston and I will order from here again and again. read more

Not good. Well, to be honest, the pita and dip trio were good. Unfortunately, the chicken gyro and uncle Gus we're both really bad. The first had bad tasting chicken, tons of yogurt. The lamb was very good in the Gus. But it was drowning in a lake of bland tomato sauce. Now to be fair, maybe the 7 min drive home had some effect. Pleasantly surprised. The falafel wrap was very good and the sauce was delicious on top. The fries were good with the lemon after taste to them.
