Service center: everyone's experiences are unique and it seems that people are more willing to share negative experiences verses those of us who had positive interactions when getting service here. I want to take the time to share the positive experiences I received each time I bought my vehicle here for service. I have been using this location for a few years for two different vehicles all F-150s and every experience has been good overall. There are some hard working men and women serving at this location. This review is for those who work in the service department and the custodian staff that I see doing a fine job keeping the place clean. I went in for an oil change. I went around 7:00 a.m. There were three cars ahead of me when I arrived. My wait was 90 minutes which included a tire rotation. There are nice searing areas around for customers to enjoy with complimentary coffee and water. There is a kiosk area if you want to make a purchase. Moreover, there are charging stations throughout for phone and computer devices so feel free to bring your tablet or computer if you want to work while you wait. Furthermore, there is a 3% charge on all credit cards used. If you pay cash or use debit, that charge is waived. I would have given five stars for this convenience if it were an option to use credit with no fee to the customer. My service advisor was Nolan. He was friendly and efficient with the check-in. Dealer offered $3,000 off MSRP to get me in the door on New Year's Eve, last day of the year (2025), a 1-hour drive for me. They proceeded to then offer me $7,000 less on trade than 5 other Ford dealerships I've been to in the past 2 weeks ($10,000 less than the best offer so far). After the classic back-and-forth, they came up $4,000 on the trade in, effectively defeating the $3,000 off MSRP "deal" that got me in the door. Again, this is on New Year's Eve - where the sales Manager, Noel, promised me they're both "highly motivated to move vehicles on the last day of the year" as well as "very aggressive on trade-ins" I knew there was this chance, but Noel convinced me to come in for their end of the year motivation to move vehicles and "aggressiveness on trade-ins". There was no deal to be had on New Year's Eve at Platinum Ford, just a long & disappointing day. read more

WARNING TO BUYERS -- GPS TRACKER LEFT ACTIVE IN MY VEHICLE When I purchased my Jeep, I later discovered an active IKON GPS tracking unit still installed from the dealership. I contacted IKON directly, and they confirmed the device was registered to the dealership and was still actively transmitting my vehicle's location and data until I physically removed the SIM card. This means the dealership had the ability to track everywhere I drove after I bought the vehicle -- without my knowledge and without my consent. For anyone reading this, please be aware: Texas Penal Code §16.06 makes it illegal to install or leave a tracking device on a vehicle you do not own without the owner's consent. Once I purchased the Jeep, I became the legal owner -- and I never gave permission for ongoing tracking. Dealerships are allowed to use GPS trackers for inventory, but they are required to remove or deactivate them before selling the vehicle, unless the buyer signs written consent. I was never told about it, never shown paperwork, and never agreed to any tracking. This is a serious privacy violation, and I'm posting this so other buyers know to check their vehicles and protect themselves. If you buy a car here, make sure any GPS or telematics devices have been removed or fully deactivated. I hope this helps someone avoid the same situation. read more

We made an appointment to test drive a specific Bronco Sport, well comes out they sold it the day before and did not let us know. So we test drove a similar Bronco Sport, then an F-150. We liked the ride of the F-150 best but wanted a blue. Which they said they had at a sister dealership in Weatherford. So, we agreed to have them transfer it over to Terrell. After we talk a while the 'manager' comes back with, 'you have to pay a $1,000.00 transfer fee that is non-refundable'. We say that seems kind of steep to move a vehicle for a 3 hour round trip, but I guess we will, he really wants this blue. So, we pay the $1,000.00 and they tell us the truck will be moved Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime, we call Monday about the one in Weatherford and ask if there is a request in to transfer the truck to Terrell. The salesman says not that I see in the system. So, we look online at few others and go over to 5-Star Ford in Plano. We find the one we like, and call Platinum Ford to cancel the request, which they do. The salesman says no problem and no need to charge your card, since we did not transfer the truck yet. They still charged the $1,000.00 and never did a thing. We asked the Weatherford dealership if they charged to transfer vehicles to other dealerships and they said no. We asked 5-Star Ford the same question and they said no. I think the manager did not want our business and was just being a jerk. We had to make an emergency stop one hour into our vacation because our battery died. Taylor directed us into the quick lane and immediately got us in cue for service. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. She got us in quickly and efficiently and was very reassuring. Thank you Taylor!!! While we waited we did some window shopping and spoke with Jose C (salesman) who was very informative even though he knew we were just looking. There was no pressure at all. The showroom where we waited was shiny and beautiful! The bathrooms were squeaky clean and sparkling: cleaner even than most restaurant bathrooms. We were in and out in about 50 minutes. Then as they became busy, we experienced their slide into being the typical vehicle dealership in which unwary customers get taken advantage of in sales, and, if they survive that or stupidly return for service, get what they deserve for being a sucker born every minute. Lately they can't find paperwork, can't locate vehicle history, and the "work" needed on my vehicles does not match the limited mileage driven since the last service where they left in "excellent" condition. Contacted them over a month ago about a recall and customer satisfaction reprogram of otm, was told that I would be contacted by the recall team. Did not receive a call in 3 weeks and when I called them again a lovely lady set me up for an appointment and when I got there it would take about half the day. When I get there they tell us it would be a week for the recall but they can't take it due to unreal miles when the car was bought and they tell us they won't do the customer satisfaction program. read more

I been taking my car to the service department for 2 years now, but I have to downgrade them by a star because of their practices and something to beware of when taking your car. Make sure you keep track of the repairs and maintenance you do to your car and read the car manual of how many miles you should do each. After coming here a couple of times just to do my oil change, they recommended me to do a couple of services such as change the spark plugs, change the transmission fluid, change the brake fluid and the coolant. However, I wonder if they keep a log of all of the maintenance work they did or they think I forgot about what repairs I have done to my car. I changed out my spark plugs on the 100k mark. My next visit after 20k, they recommend me changing out my spark plugs. Then, I changed my brake fluid at the 110K mark and after the 130K they told me I need to change it again. For coolant I changed at 128K mark and I brought in my car at the 137K mark and recommend me to change it out. I have not changed out my transmission fluid yet or drive belt, but that will happen for my next visit. I would not be surprised after I changed those, I would get a bunch of other service repairs. The good thing they do great is they do the repairs in a timely manner. If you have a coupon make sure they do honor it as I remember this last time, my oil change ended up being $75 dollars and it should have been $50 dollars. I think the turnover rate here is bad as I get a different person every time and I do not see any of the same people working here. If I had to buy a new car, I probably will need to be very careful as they seem like the type to add in the hidden fees. read more

I have bought 2 vehicles from Platinum Ford Terrell. The last car I bought 2025 Ford Explorer and within a month and half all the sensors stop working. Made appointment to service department to have them looked at and was told I would have to leave the vehicle with them for three days, however they did not have a loaner car. Rolando in service department that I was dealing with told me he would call me in 3 days with a loaner car. Never heard from him. I called back in about a week and left message for an update and never heard from him. Ended up going to Rockwall Ford and their Service Department fixed the issue in one day. Unfortunately Platinum Ford Terrell has lost me as a customer because of the lack of attention from the service department. To this day still have not heard from Rolando. I was at Platinum Ford today to buy a new F150. Bad experience. I worked as a Dealer Rep for Ford Motor Company so I know a lot about Ford Products. The internet sales manager "Matt" told me several lies, when questioned he became very defensive. I was looking for a high end truck. He showed me the only king Ranch he said they had, it was a demo. These are not car people. Why would you demo something that you only have one on the lot? They have lots of trucks but the only difference is color so their inventory is very limited. I finally just gave up and left. These are very poor car people, the whole operation is a joke. I stopped in Canton Texas on my way home and bought a new Raptor Bronco. This little dealership is tops, they do not add anything to their products so you do not have to buy a bunch of stuff you don't want and has no value to you. I can not recommend these folks. Drive the 40 miles to Canton Texas and you will be well treated. These folks have no idea how much business goes right out their door every day. read more

My Father always told me NEVER to take a car back to a dealer unless it needed warranty work- very good advice. My car had a recall on it- so I really had no choice. Took the car in and- low and behold- Platinum Ford in Pilot Point found over $2000 in "needed" repairs. What a surprise! Told me my water pump was faulty, even though it exhibits no symptoms of that- no antifreeze odor, no drips under the car, no strange noises, no overheating, and no loss of coolant. Amazing! There was more! They told me that the air filter and cabin air filter needed to be changed- and they would do that for $65! What a deal! Cost of parts, about $150 dollars, and time to replace the pump about an hour and a half- so these mechanics make more per hour than your average brain surgeon- great racket! read more

Had an appointment to have service work on my 2020 Ranger. Made the appointment online a week ago. Got there early to check in. Service rep was telling me that I had to leave the truck for 5 days, then they could diagnose the problem. Then tell me how long the repair would take said they are that far behind. They did offer to put me on a loaner list..that list is several months long. I cannot leave my truck for a week. And just have it sit on the lot and nothing being done to it It is amazing that Autonation in Arlington said the same exact thing. Leave it for 5 days then we will analyze the problem. So the online appointment schedule just gets you an appoint me with the service writer. Even though you fill out the online request and give detail info about the problem it goes nowhere!! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. BEWARE- anyone who takes their vehicle there to get serviced, BEWARE. I cannot speak for the rest of the dealership. But service area and mechanics need a lot of help. I took my vehicle to get fixed after water got into my car. Assuming it was my sunroof. They told me sunroofs sometimes clog up. I told then okay and that I wanted to leak to be fixed and to check for anything else that was damaged since water was coming out through my a/c system too. After a month or so, I get my car back. "Fixed". I trusted them to "fix" my car. I am no mechanic that's why I took my car to them. I thought I could trust the "professionals" Well to my surprise after the second time we got rain, guess whose car had water leaking to the inside ? MY CAR. Here I am thinking they fixed my car and as I am driving, water leaks from my ceiling to my dash area. I was livid. I took my car back, thinking that they would honor their mistake. Nope. They wanted us to pay again to have it looked at. A guy working in the service area speaks very poorly to women. Telling me that "it's normal" for cars with sunroofs to have leaks specially if it's clogged. Etc etc: even though I told him, I had just brought in my car to get this issue "fixed". Then proceeds to tell me that they are too busy and my car won't be looked at until a week out or so. Which I didn't mind. But then also tells me, "oh by the way, your car will sit outside in our lot in the rain". As if to mock me. It wasn't until a nice lady working there came to help me and told me my car wouldn't be out in the rain. After they wanted us to pay for their mistake. My husband finally went in there to tell them we do not want to do business with them anymore and to get our car back and some Jeremy told him, they would take care of it and apologized. Well time to pick up my "fixed" car again. As soon as my husband got in my car, he notices that the screen is not working. Mind you, it was working before we dropped it off. The manager of this place only offered to pay for half of what it would cost. He told me since he couldn't be sure they were at fault, they could only offer to pay half. If I paid to get my car "fixed" and they failed to "fix" it and something was damaged in the process of their mistake, as a business owner I would love to correct my mistake. But nope. I would rather drive hours away, to a different dealership then to do business with this location. And btw I am not the only one who has had issues with this location. Purchased a 2019 Ford Expedition in 2021. Purchased the extended warranty for an additional 60 a month on payment. Tried to schedule service today when a loaner vehicle would be available and told that it would be 5 to 8 days to diagnose and that the first loaner would be available in 5 months. First year driving the vehicle the Cam Phasers went out and we had to wait several months are parts to fix. Last year I tried to bring the vehicle in for service to the transmission. The vehicle has the 10 speed transmission which intermittently would get stuck in 8th gear and not shift past that. Was told at that time by Service Manager to drive the vehicle until it shelled the transmission and he would try and get me in after that. I am completely and utterly disappointed with this dealership. Service after the sale has been horrendous. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone else. They are excited for the sale but quickly lose interest after that!!! read more

On 8/22/2023, I decided to purchase the 2023 F-150 Tremor from Platinum Ford. Traded in the 2023 Ford Bronco that I purchased from Platinum Ford on 07/25/2023. Despite paying $5000.00 over MSRP, getting less than sticker on trade and paying $740.00 less than sticker on the Tremor, I made the deal. Losing a little over $5000.00 was better than losing $11,000.00 like the first offer the dealer made. The day after signing, the GM, Adam Vincze, texted me in regards to the negative review that was left from the first rotten deal. He asked me to take down the review. When I declined to take it down since it was all true, he told me that he was wiping his hands of me and to never come back to Platinum Ford again. He said to not come back and buy another vehicle or have my 2023 Tremor (that was just purchased the week before) in for service or repair. He stated that I would need to find another dealer to take care of me. I began having issues with the new truck the weekend after purchasing. The truck had 350 miles on it when it first started acting up. I took a video the next time the truck started running rough, engine lights came on and the entire truck was shaking. I figured the video would help with diagnostics. On Wednesday, August 30th, I drove to Platinum Ford to speak with them about the issues with the truck and to let them see the video. When I arrived at the dealership, I went to the service desk, and asked for Casey (service supervisor). Casey came out to talk with my wife and me about the truck. While showing Casey the videos, a man walked up, and just stood there like he was waiting for Casey. He interrupted Casey, and asked for my name while reaching out to shake my hand and my wife's hand. He introduced himself as Adam Vincze, the GM of Platinum Ford. Until this time, I've never met Adam Vincze. He said he told me they would not service my vehicles and I would need to find a different dealership to work with. I explained I wasn't there for service, just to ask advice. He said that Casey was his employee, and that he would not be allowed to speak to me. I felt bad for Casey being in the middle of all of this. I could tell he wanted to help, but when Adam put his hand on his shoulder, Casey remained silent. I also pointed out to Adam that I purchased a new Ford truck with full Ford warranty. This was a Ford dealer and that warranty work should not be declined. Adam said he can deny anyone he chooses and that included me. My wife and I got back in our truck and left the dealership in total shock of how we had been treated. If you receive poor service, leave a review stating the poor service you had received and then get banned from the business, that's not business but more like retaliation or forced manipulation to clear your name to the public. And just wanted to throw this out there that I test drove a 2022 Mustang Mach 1 Fastback at Platinum Ford. The salesman said the Mustang was ordered, purchased, and belonged to a Platinum Ford employee. The employee had a minor incident where the front bumper had to be replaced. I asked the salesman for pictures of the minor incident because the hood appeared to not line up properly in my own eyes. The salesman sent me images of the "minor" incident. To me, this was not minor and backed out of the possibility of purchasing. Platinum Ford has provided excellent service to my Lincoln Nautilus. I have over 90,000 miles and have had regular maintenance performed through their service center. I make appointments and get in right away. I shop around for competitive pricing on tires and found the type/style and price I wanted there. They reattached my under carriage when I went through high water knocking out the fasteners; even-though, I went in for something else. They go above and beyond. The staff there have always been courteous and informative. I recommend them and will continue to use them for my service needs. read more

The check engine light came on as I was driving to work on Wednesday. I called Platinum and the girl in the Service department told me to make an appointment online to bring it in. The next appointment was Thursday at 4, which I took. When I brought my car in, the service writer seemed more concerned with trying to sell me an alignment (thanks to their "alignment checker" in the driveway) than with the actual check engine light problem that needed fixed. I asked how soon my car could be looked at, and he just said "we will call you." I also asked if they had any loaner cars, or a car rental on site, and he just said "no." No offer of where I could go to rent a car, etc. The next day, I called twice to see if my car had even been diagnosed yet, and the girl in the Service department said "no." I finally called on my way home from work, and told the person on the phone that if they couldn't even look at my car before the end of the day, I would just pick it up and take it somewhere else. He seemed very understanding, and said "Jason" the service advisor would call me. By 6:30, I still had not heard from Jason, so I went there and asked the service writer for my car back. He seemed very surprised, and said he would go find Jason. A few minutes later, the service writer pulled my car around. I told him, "I sure wish I could have met Jason." He seemed very surprised and said "He never came to see you?" I said "Nope." I got in my car, and I left. 10 minutes later, O'Reilly ran their free diagnostic on my car, and there's a problem with the turbo system. I now have a Monday appointment at another service facility, and they said they will give me an answer and estimate promptly. All that Jason or Platinum Ford had to tell me was "we are really backed up, and it will be Monday before we can look at your car" when I brought it in, and I wouldn't have wasted my time there. I need my car for work, and I don't appreciate not being given honest answers. I am a Ford stockholder, and I've owned Ford cars for many years. Ive always had great experiences with the Ford dealers where I've previously bought and serviced my cars. I will never set foot in Platinum Ford again after this experience. read more

Beautiful building with the most incompetent workers ever (service department) who could not find my scheduled appointment information, which caused me to wait an extra 45 minutes..... with no apology. First, they didn't know that my warranty had 10 thousand miles left, until they were contacted by corporate office. The lady dressed in all black, looked like she could help and answer a basic question. WRONG again, I was. 2. Next, The manager told me that he had no understanding of how I could have scheduled an appointment on my off day... "What?" I didn't get it either, until I realized that he was nervously responding to my request to speak with his General Manager about why I needed to leave my truck on the lot for 10 days or until someone showed up to work that knew how to read a diagnostic machine. This place has incompetent staff, managers, and technicians. The only time I get honest answers when I visit, is when I asked the salesmen if I can have a Free car. read more

The service department is TERRIBLE. They left a negative battery terminal disconnected on my vehicle which cause all sorts of issues. The car is a hybrid so it was running off of the auxiliary batter. I took it for them to see what the issue is and they told me it would be 5 days before they would look at it and could not offer a loaner. This vehicle is still within the bumper to bumper warranty from Ford. They recommended I buy a battery from somewhere else and do it myself Because it would be cheaper. I then found the disconnected terminal when I got home and started diagnosing it myself. After reconnecting the terminal everything worked normally. After telling me they price match tires, they wouldn't because they "need a paper quote". The difference in price was $43 per tire and the online quote was from Discount Tire at a local store. The only reason I went through with the tire purchase is due to me having a tire/wheel warranty through the dealership. I then get the bill and they charged $65.35 for a "shop supplies" fee. They also charged $45 for the "mounting and balancing" of the tires. I have no idea what shop supplies would be needed in replacing two tires that would not be included in the mounting and balancing fee. My mother in law was a service manager at a dealer for years and said that shop supply fee was completely fabricated and she has never heard of needing a paper quote to price match. Warranty or not, I will NEVER return here for service. What should have been around $450 at Discount Tire was over $659.. During the "inspection" they didn't even notice the windshield sprayer just dumps water in the hood because the hose was not connected. There is currently a recall that has a repair available, but when I've attempted to get it corrected, they told me no because the issue was not currently present in my vehicle. My vehicle is included in the recall and I have received several notices from Ford directly about the recall. they wanted me to leave the vehicle with them for a unknown amount of time while they attempted to recreate the issue for the recall and again could not provide a loaner. I will find a different Ford dealer to take the vehicle to for future recalls and warranty work. read more

No follow-up, no follow through, ignoring/ghosting customers- I wish I'd gone elsewhere. After a week of discussions and preparation on the phone, & on Saturday, December 3rd I drove up from an hour east of Austin and paid for the car. So far so good. I had paid for a security system, IKON, but in the confusion they forgot to tell me how to use it & I forgot to ask about it. Over the next week and a half I called, I texted, I received promises that somebody would get back to me soon... Victor, Nikolas, I finally got a hold of a manager on Tuesday the 13th who promised me that he or Sam (the finance guy who handles the security system) would get things set up and get back to me. Aannd... nothing. Now when I call and ask to be put through to one of them, it goes directly to voicemail for some reason. Gosh, that's not suspicious at all. So I'm going to call back and request a refund. Since they can't put forth the effort to do what they said, time for me to get my money back for services not rendered! read more

There were plenty of workers standing around talking to each other and not many customers in the store so why is it that we couldn't get anyone to talk to us?? No one was at the front desk either. Whoever did the installation of the table at Platinum ended up screwing in the screws too far where the screw bulged out of the panel of the back door. Since it was a new vehicle (less than a month old), and not sure if this damage would be reported on the Carfax (if Platinum would fix it), he wanted to just trade it in. I claimed the dealership was shady because they charged an ADM over MSRP for the Bronco and wanted to initially low ball the trade-in amount, severely. UPDATE on 8/19/2023, pre-owned manager, Andrew McGrath, sat down at a table to go over the numbers of making a deal with my father-in-law. The others at the table were myself and salesman, Jesse Hibbard. The first thing out of Andrew's mouth was in order to start this deal, was to remove the negative posts that "you" (he pointed at me) created. The deal they wanted was for trading in the Bronco for a Tremor F-150 that came from Triple Crown in Stephenville. The deal was to mark up the trade-in value from $63k to $69k and lower the Tremor value by $590. Keep in mind, my father-in-law bought the Bronco for $74k and owned it for nearly 3 weeks and had less than 1,100 miles on it. Andrew's argument was that regardless of how many miles are on it or how long the vehicle was owned for, it's considered a trade-in. That point is understood, it's just how the customer is taken care of in the first place - that is the issue. I called out the dealership for being shady in this situation. It's flat out wrong for how the customer is being handled. Trading in the Bronco was only brought up because of the dealership damaging the Bronco in the first place. My father-in-law said that the service manager could not guarantee that fixing the back door would not show up on the Carfax. Andrew stated that it would not show up because someone at the dealership wrecked his Bronco in over $7,000 in damages, and that was not on the Carfax. I told him to provide my father-in-law something in black and white with his signature that it would not show up on the Carfax. He said he would not do that. Andrew threw out slanderous/defamatory/libelous/malicious accusations to discredit me while sitting there in front of him. He stated that "every time [I'm] there, there's an issue and there has not been a single positive thing from [me]." I've only been there with my father-in-law whenever he has had an issue with any of his Ford vehicles that were caused by Platinum Ford. Andrew made a phone call to the GM, Adam. Adam could not do anything more. We got up from the table. Andrew shook my father-in-law's hand and left. UPDATE on 8/23/2023: My father-in-law ended up going back to Platinum Ford on 8/22/2023 to trade-in his Bronco for the truck. He states that this was his best viable option with the situation that he's in. The next day, the GM, Adam Vincze, screenshot my reviews from various platforms and sent them to my father-in-law, stating that the reviews have not been taken down. My father-in-law did not respond. The following day, Adam again, reached out about the screenshots. My father-in-law stated that they would not be removed because 1) it is not his accounts that made the reviews on those various platforms, and 2) these are facts about the dealership rather than opinions. Adam proceeded to call my father-in-law and mention that he will have his attorney speak to the son-in-law (me) about the reviews since he sees it as defamation. My father-in-law informed about what was said. Since this is now considered a threat to me, and that I'm a federal employee that works for the United States Attorney's Office, and we do not respond to threats very well, I emailed Adam to send all legal matters to me at work and provided my work address. read more

Droppiped off @ 8:30AM picked up @ 3:45PL The tech called 1 time @ 12:06 to inform me that the cabin air fitter needs change. I took it to them for an oil change and a tire rotation. I called at 12:30 to pick up it was supposed to be ready. No call for me to pick up. I call only to be put on hold and then it droppEd call. I sent an email and called several more times at 2:00 O messaged and nothin. I had a friend drive me their so I pay for it and the charge me for 6 quarts my suv only holds only 5. I took the car and I turned around to let the see what they left. the Dash was filthy from the cabin air filter Dirt. it was cleaned and I left the manager didn't even apologize. read more
