I went in to Platinum Ford to order a Maverick December 16th. The sales rep During the order seemed disinterested in the process which should have been my first red flag. They told me it should be delivered in 6-12 weeks. So I called in when 6 weeks hit to ask for an update. I was told I would get a call back. Never got one. So I circled back up a week or so later. Same thing, "Need to follow up with my manager and give you a call back." Again never got one, My third call I led off with off with how I've been treated and the sales rep on the phone who was the one running the calls preceded to get in an argument with me and tried to get me off the phone with the same phrase of the manager isn't here. He started to ask me question but couldn't pull up the order. He ended up hanging up on me after laughing at me yesterday. By the way I put down a $500 deposit to have this order made. Worst Experience I've ever had with purchasing a vehicle. I can't even remember the last time someone hung up on me.... I'll be seeking a refund. Specifically for Service Department - Have not purchased auto here so not sure about sales process. But the Service Department WOW - stellar. From calling to get information to making an appointment everything was great. They checked stock, gave us a price over the phone for parts. Brought vehicle in, they were very honest about turn around time as they were super busy, but then we got the shock of our lives - they called to say what we thought was wrong wasn't an issue at all, so what we thought was going to be a costly repair turned out to be nothing. They made some suggestions and we are back on track. We will be coming back! They have earned a service customer for life! read more

Took our car to our local shop and they said we had a error code which is covered under recall warranty. We took our ford in for recall work and after 5 weeks of no communication was told they wanted to tear down our transmission, charge us 3k to "view" what the issue was. I personally walked in to chat with the drop off service tech, was told by another service tech he was not available and the recall would be fixed. I told them again not to tear down my transmission. The tech noted as such as again no communication from the original tech. Three/four days later received an "email" to a family member they would not fix the car as it now has a "new" error code and it would not be covered by ford. The real sad part of all this is if your going to give the person bad news in regards to warranty work "not covered", maybe a in person conversation or a personal phone call to explain the current real issue would be much better accepted and handled than a email. That pretty much makes up my mind about ever purchasing a ford vehicle. You desperately need to tech your service techs good customer service skills! read more

Buy the used car at your own risk. They sold me a used Expedition that had been wrecked. They didn't disclose that information, and every time I asked for a carfax they said they would get it. By the time I got to finance I had forgotten about the carfax. I didn't notice the subtle things that lead to me noticing it had been wrecked until weeks after buying it. Purchase two trucks from Platinum Ford. The brand new 2021 F250 has been a nightmare service with this dealership has been absolutely horrible. It needs a new fuel pump which will be number four. Number three only lasted 80 miles and took nine months to get. I get the truck back with grease prints all over the truck scratches on the truck they absolutely have no care for the customer or the vehicle. I'm at over 900 in tow expense. Every time this truck has been at this dealership I've been without a vehicle. Even though my warranty includes a loaner vehicle. So now the truck is sitting at the dealership we are being told it could be a year before I get a new pump. So I asked him about trading it in and they told me they cannot give me a value on the vehicle because they don't know how long it will be broke down. So I arrived today to pick the vehicle up with a tow truck to take to another dealership that has no problem giving me a value on vehicle. Not surprised we walk into the sales department tell them we're here to get the keys to the truck cause we're gonna go trade it in not a word from any of them they gave us our key. $92,000 is the vehicle on their lot we were looking at purchasing it because they have no respect or care for their customers they are allowing that sell to walk out the door. Their service manager is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. and his straight lied to my face. They have absolutely lost my business I would suggest to anybody that knows me not to do business with Platinum Ford. Or any other dealership that is owned by that franchise. read more

Went to get a Camry at Platinum Ford in Terrell and online said had 18,000 miles and was told by the car salesman it had 18,000.When I went in to get the car all my paperwork said that the car had 18,000 miles next day got in my car and looking at it I happen to notice the odometer said 32,000 miles, they actually took the miles off the trip instead of the odometer. Went back to the dealership and they did not change the warranty and wanted to give me 1200.00 off for an extra 18,000 miles on the car. Today got a statement in the mail and called the bank and was told that the paperwork didn't even add up or make sense. They wanted $35,000 for a car with 32,000 miles no floor mates and missing piece on the mirror. read more

Service advisor is Billie Cooper, and the actual technician was ROBIN CLINE Sharing any kind of experience is rare unless its as bad as this, my father went in to service his 2019 Ford F350. wait was super long, we usually service the truck at Mac haik Ford (truly recommend) and get everything done with no issues, wait is understandable. BUT if you have 3-4 hours for servicing then it is crucial to TRIPLE check your work! my father left out of there and didn't get very far since the vehicle was making a sound. they changed the FUEL FILTER AND FORGOT TO CLOSE IT!.. $600 service bill and MR CLINE decides today he doesnt want to close the cap. Platimum Ford in terrell needs a little brushing up. Sold me a vehicle that was "Certified Pre Owned" with two open recalls, didnt transfer Ford Certified Warranties to my name and here 9 months later still trying to deal with. 4 Months after I purchased the vehicle transmission went out, took it to the shop and there it sat for 5 months. During that time they lied non top to me and Ford Tech (from corporate office) about what they where doing. Have emails from them that my vehicle was in the bay up and trans mission out even through at the exact same time my vehicle is in back of the shop parking lot ( I have photos dated and time stamped). They issued me paperwork saying they removed transmission and found nothing wrong. I had vehicle transferred to another dealership and it was confirmed transmission was never removed, filled with fluid yes (I had two leaks and they had to fill it with fluid so I could leave with it...which it leaked out by the time I went 17 miles down the road but remember nothing is wrong with this transmission). Second dealership completely rebuilt transmission after they actually removed it and found a long list of things wrong as well as two leaks. Platinum kept telling me they removed the Auto Body value and it was fine, when in reality they did not and it was not. Platinum Ford does NOT have a transmission mechanic on staff. Instead of telling me this they continued to lie to me, Ford Tech, Ford Customer Service rep for 5 months...then placed a false claim on my warranties (which where still not in my name). DO NOT BUY, DO NOT HAVE SERVICE DONE at Platinum Ford Owner was contacted multiple times, he is aware of this and has ignored me and evidence shown to him HE ALLOWS this to happen. So while The Gilchrist name & Southwest Name mean something to his family they mean nothing to him....he allows people to be treated this way. read more

This group recently purchased Randall Noe's Ford dealership in Terrell. Randall Noe was a terrible dealer but these guys are fantastic. They have a great team over there. We scored an incredible deal on a new Ford Fusion. My sales guy Pete was top notch, friendly and no pressure. He got the car we wanted at the price we wanted. These guys are willing to deal and do whatever it takes to make you happy. Adam our finance guy was the same. No pressure, got us a great rate through Ford Financial and didn't try and pressure us into un needed extras. If you're in the DFW area make the drive to Terrell and save yourself thousands on your new Ford purchase. We drove over an hour and 20 minutes one way because no one else could beat their deal. It was totally worth the drive. When we upgrade this Ford Fusion to a Ford GT in a few years we're going to call them =) The dealership itself looks a little run down but they are in the process of building a new facility, so just ignore the decor and save yourself some bucks. I don't think you'll find a more experienced, friendly staff anywhere. My sunroof was broke in my Ford Platinum truck. My Sunroof stuck open.. I had a warranty on my truck thank goodness. Took them a week to fix it so I rented a car. I had to pay for the rent car up front and the warranty company was going to reimburse me. When I went to pick up my truck Ron told me to turn in my paid rental car receipt because it had to be turned in with my claim and Platinum Ford would send me a reimbursement check. My sunroof glass also had a crack in it when I went to pick up my truck. They had to order another piece of glass. Took 3 business days to come in so I had to drive back up there so they could replace the glass. Service Dept left black stickey tape all over the top roof of my truck that I had to clean off after showing it to Ron. It was all around my whole dual pane sunroof. I finally received the check today and they shorted me. I called up there and talked to AR and Joni said that is all they could reimburse me. I asked for GM phone number and she would not give it to me. I called back and Luke said he could not give me his number either so I could let Adam Vincze know how they cheat their customers. Ron called me back and said he will let upper management know about cutting me a check for the difference. I hope they don't treat all their customers this way. read more

Bought a car for my daughter there last Saturday had a sales men give me a price out the door there were no terms of how payment was to be made I had to leave which didn't matter because my wife had our or approval letter and our cash down payment and when my wife a woman walks in they decide to try and take advantage of her and raise the price saying that what they offered me was a cash price again there were no stipulations in what they offered me. Then decided to tell my that they would not except our pre approval letter not would they reach out to our bank to get the info they needed if we were going to use outside financing (our own bank with way better interest rates) that we needed a cashiers check to purchase the vehicle we ended up just paying for the vehicle and not financing anything cus honestly we were tired of car shopping. We get all the paperwork done he hands over one key it's busted won't stay locked in position which this is the key we test drove with asked about a second and get told Very rudely no that it would be an additional $400 for a second key so now what am I supposed to do I spent my money on buying the car because they wouldn't let me finance it and now they are asking for an additional $400 on top of the $15,000 I just spent out of pocket!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I will go to Mac Hiak in desoto from now on!!! read more
