DON'T USE THIS BUSINESS!! Destroyed 9 outdoor cushions with no accountability. Claim they have me on camera as they explain the cushions might not be able to be cleaned. Bad experience. I've been here before and the quality of service was just...well...meh... I usually don't give poor reviews to dry cleaners (or alteration services) because they're less than efficient or friendly. As long as my garments are cleaned and not ruined, I'm reasonably content. Today, November 10, I brought in a couple of jackets. I got there at 5:03 PM and a rude older woman behind the counter proceeded to lecture me that I should plan on being there by 4 PM! Apparently, the fact that there was a BIG OPEN sign was lost to her and she was equally ignorant of the business website and the hours posted on the door, both of which list 5 PM, not 4 PM, as closing time on Saturdays. On top of that, she was still finishing up with another customer! Are you kidding me?? As I was reading the tags on my jackets to figure out if they needed dry cleaning or just plain washing, the same woman proceeded to brusquely demand I give her my phone number and to "hurry up." Seriously? Do you think people are going to pre-pay to get the wrong service because, God forbid, you have to wait an additional 5 min? At that point, I told her I was taking my business elsewhere and left the store. What kind of business do you think you're running that you can't accommodate someone who walks in 3 minutes after hours when you're still with another customer and have a sign that says OPEN? Very unprofessional man working at Savings Cleaners today. As I walked in with my suit to be cleaned and pressed, the only person there was on his cellphone. He made no attempt to make eye contact, wave, smile, or anything. In fact, he walked right by me talking on his phone. He then turned around and began walking to the back, still on his phone. After waiting for about 1 minute with no response from him, I said, "Forget this," grabbed my suit, and walked out. I'm not sure why he was so rude, I assume he did not want my business. So I didn't give it to him. I should have checked Yelp first and not just gone to the closest cleaners to my house. The place only has 2 stars, I see why... Also, the place seemed very empty like they send everything out to be cleaned anyway. No cleaning machines, dryers, sewing machines visible, and no "dry cleaners smell." Skip this place. I've been using this cleaner for a while because they are cheap and convenient, but it's time to move to a better cleaner. Do not have them clean anything of value. They ruined the buttons on my jacket. Every single button was scratched or chipped. I asked them if they would re-sew new buttons if I brought the buttons but they said they would charge $3/button for this job. First I pay for messing up the buttons and I pay you again for fixing it? No thanks! I also had them wash a duvet cover which they also ruined. First they lost it, and when it was found a few days later it was unrecognizable because the color changed from green to a washed out gray (not sure if they bleached it by mistake) and the fabric became pill-y. read more

I have been a regular at this establishment due to their once low prices. When they first opened several years ago, they were definitely competitive offering dry cleaning at $1.50 for most garments or even less if you brought in their discount coupons. Now at their pricing that has come up to near competitor pricing, the lack of customer service and poor cleaning quality give me no reason to patronize this establishment anymore. A couple weeks ago I had the worst experience. I came to pick up my garments and found that a stain on a blazer I had indicated upon drop off was still there. The response provided to me was "we don't guarantee to remove stains". A second issue found was my trench coat that came out looking crinkled and unpressed. The ladies explained to me that they could not do any better. I looked displeased and they reluctantly agreed to take back the garments and attempt to remove the stain from the blazer and repress the coat. However, I once was reminded "we do not guarantee stain removal" and "the coat may not come back any better". This is unacceptable and I don't foresee coming back again. read more

And then, I slowly started to realize that their hangers were leaving rust stains on my white Hotel Collection duvet cover (umm, thanks?). But what really did me in was they SHRUNK MY DRAPES! Well, one panel to be exact. Which is probably worse than a double pair. When I hung my panel and called immediately to complain, the woman on the phone tried to tell me they had me sign a release. What? Nope. Not even close. After a lot of back and forth, they refunded me about 60% of the cost it took to shrink my drapery panel. Cool, thanks. At least they gave me cash. The reviews are all over the place but I can say I haven't had a bad experience ever and they are less than half of what I was paying at the last place I used. There is usually a staff of *one* which means occasionally they will be "back in 15 minutes" or "lunch from 2-2:30" and ever so occasionally they open a few minutes late but for the price and the good experience I've had with my clothes, I can live with that. read more

I absolutely love this place. I am a person that doesn't wash my clothes, only towels, pajamas, and under clothes. So I have a lot of dry cleaning! This place never fails me and always repairs clothing when needed, they also clean comforters. I recently had a house fire and they restore mostly all of my clothes. What a relief! It is about time I add a review here to save other people for my terrible experiences with them. As other mentioned before, we go there because it is cheap. When it comes to just cleaning men's shirts, they are ok. By that I mean the shirt is cleaned and somewhat ironed properly (once in a while, you will find wrinkles). What puzzles me though is the difference in price between men and women shirts. I was told it is because the shape of women shirts doesn't match their whatever standard ironing process. I just call that gender inequity! But moving on to bigger issues. Few years ago, I brought a Ralph Lauren skirt with its belt. I should have known better, but since I never had issues before with this skirt, I brought it with the belt. Well, I got it back without the belt. Then lucky me they somehow were able to locate the belt. Surprisingly, after a few days, I was told the belt was to given to another customer at a different place and they had no way of getting it back. Then, one day I brought them a top with a stain on it. They returned it back with the stain. They told me I needed to point out the stain I want them to remove when I drop off my cloth. But isn't the whole purpose of me bringing my cloth to them is to get them back cleaned? If they clean, the stain should go, right? Well, they took it back and returned. This time, the stain was gone ... and instead there was a hole where the stain was. I had to really push back to get some kind of credit on my next purchase. But here it is for another brand name cloth that I can't wear because of them. Lastly (and this is where I decide I will never bring them my cloth ever again), I brought them silk draps. It says "dry clean". They made me sign a release in case something happens to the draps. You think, yes sure, the color may fade a little. But you can't possibly imagine that using a dry cleaning technique they would shrink your draps by 5"!?!?!? Those were silk Pottery Barn draps and now I have to pay $500 to get them replaced. Savings Cleaners, this is the last time to get a penny from me. My husband may still bring his shirts, but that is all you will ever get. read more

The only reason I take my cloths here for cleaning is because of the convenient location. I have everything in one location - bank, Safeway, Starbucks and dry cleaner shop right there too. The lady who works there (assuming she is the owner) is not most friendly person. Some days she can be really friendly but some days I just want to walk out of that place. She gets mad and does not accept your shirts if they are not already unbuttoned !!! They don't have the ability or equipment to clean right there, they send it to a third party. If you need express service (pick up the following day), this place can't help you . Also, if you have some stains of spots that need more attention, you would need to take your cloths back two more times to see results. Parking is always an issue because of other businesses in the same plaza. read more

I typically take my cleaning down to San Jose with me by my work but decided to give Savings Cleaners a chance as they are on my way home. I dropped off 6 shirts with "Jasmin" and prepaid for the cleaning (why I did that is beyond me). All the other cleaners I go to I pay when I pick up the shirts. This way if there's something wrong (or lost), I'm not obligated to pay for it. Unfortunately, I only received 5 shirts back from the 6 I dropped off. Apparently, they send everything out to be cleaned and hope it all comes back from San Leandro? Jasmin said she would try to figure out where my lost shirt was and call me back. Unfortunately, no call back. After having to call to figure out status on the lost shirt with no luck, I'm going to write off the shirt as well as Savings Cleaners. This place = fail. CAVEAT!! They ruined my dress that had fabric with some contrast piping! They wash their hands off and take zero responsibility--didnt even offer to waive the dry cleaning charges. The entire dress was ruined-the color from the black piping bled into the white dress and it is trashed. It was one of my favorite that I'd only worn for 2 occasions :-( I had even asked the proprietor if they think it would be risky and they were non-committal. I used this facility for a few years due to the convenient location. They did a okay job for most of the time. Recently, I dropped off a large amount of clothing. One of my designer dresses was not delivered in my scheduled pickup. The store clerk told my husband that the dress was missing and they weren't sure where it was (LOST) but to check back in a few days. A few days later, I stopped back in the store to pick it up. Again, they weren't sure where the dress was and suggested that their label may come off the dress. They called into the main location. The main location said they were waiting on approval to clean the dress as it was black and white and there was a risk of it bleeding. Keep in mind, this was two weeks after the initial drop-off. I had acknowledged the risk of bleeding as a small risk when I dropped it off. No one mentioned this approval to my husband when he picked up the laundry, no one called me to ask for permission---they just let it sit there. The clerk, Lynette, was rude and didn't apologize for the confusion. She just tried to correct me that it wasn't lost, they just didn't know where it was. That is the definition of lost, lady. When I called the cleaning site and spoke with the manger, I told him I wanted the dress back, uncleaned, and a refund. He told me the owner would call me back that day with a plan. Again, no calls, no call back, no sense of ownership, no sense of customer service. The location is the ONLY reason these guys are still in business. I'll be finding a new cleaner and wouldn't recommend them to anyone if you value your clothing. read more

Cheaper than other dry cleaners but not worth going here. They returned my pants with a very strong chemical smell (I believe another reviewer also mentioned this). The whole house was smelling of chemicals so we took the pants back and asked what was wrong. The lady working there seemed to think nothing was wrong and that this was normal. She said that chemicals are a part of the business and was not at all apologetic. I would rather pay a little bit more for better service and to not have my clothes reek of chemicals. Do not go to this place. They are totally heartless. I was calling them before 5 pm to give them heads up that I might be 1-2 minutes late and they chose not to answer all my call attempts. I get there 5 mins after close time and they see me through the door, I show them the pick up receipt so they know it is a simple 5 minute operation and they look at me and say "sorry, but no". I begged them through the door saying "please, I need this suit for tonight" and they still chose not to help me. On at least a couple of occasions, I've stopped by at 8:00 on my way into work, and they were not open yet (although their business hours indicate they open at 8:00). Both times, the clerk said she was late because there was traffic. I've also had items promised for a certain pickup date/time, but were not ready until the following day. This places ships out your dry cleaning -- they do not do it on premise. In my mind, this increases the odds of misplaced articles, etc. The only reason I go here is because of the convenient location. Harvey's in Dublin is MUCH better. read more

I don't give 1 stars because my ego gets hurt or I break a nail. The story behind 3 garments for alternation is pretty long. I went to Savings for the first time last Friday (June 19). I was told my 3 garments would be hemmed and ready after 4pm Saturday, June 20. Did I mention they close at 3pm on Saturdays? I called them at 1pm on Saturday and the person working the counter was the same as the one I met on Friday. He said the truck comes in around 2:30 so it'll be ready after that. My husband went down to pick up my clothes at 2:30. My clothes were brand new, still have tags on them. Anyhow husband comes back at 3:30 with no clothes. The guy from the shop calls and leaves a lengthy message for me, apologizing. He said he will call me once the clothes are done on Monday. So on Tuesday I called them because I had not heard from them on Monday. This time a lady answered the phone and told me alterations are done on Wednesdays of every week. So clothes would be ready by 3pm Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday around 5pm, the guy from the shop called me and said my clothes were back. My husband went and got my clothes and brought them back. 1 of the 3 had nothing done to it. Still a foot too long for me. One other one is too short now and I'm so pissed that I didn't bother checking the 3rd garment. Mind you, all their services are prepaid. I already paid $58 for 3 hems. No one at that places cares to help me. Or refund me for the item they did not hem. Now I need to pay another $60 to another alterations place to fix whatever mess Savings Cleaners has made. Just be careful using this business. They are not honorable, honest, and have zero business being in the customer service field. They returned my clothes with a strong toxic odor, including a number of skirts, blouses and sweaters. They claimed all I needed to do was let it "air out" but that did not work, then they would not try to fix this or give me my money back. The staff was rude, even after I had been a customer of this place for over a year. The items are ruined, I have not been able to remove the odor. Also tore a shirt at the sleeve, no apologies. When you prepay for dry cleaning, give your item to the clerk, you hope for the best. In my case when I gave them ONE shirt for laundering along with some trousers, the shirt that they returned to me was a similar color, but not a man's shirt of size 16 1/2, but a woman's size 12. Returning to the Savings Cleaners, the clerk first questioned me....Did I bring in my wife's shirt. When I explained that I live alone, that I brought in a man's shirt, the clerk told me that I could get "store credit". I asked about getting a replacement shirt. The clerk thought I certainly must have kept the original store purchase receipt, so I had to produce it. Not being possible, the clerk told me she would check with the owner and get back to me. She did get back to me. She told me that I had to return to the store. Arriving back at the store I was given a form to fill out. I had to wait 30 days the clerk explained. Is this the customer service that a customer should expect? When I expressed my frustration of THEM losing my shirt, ME having to produce a receipt, ME having to return only to find a form to fill out, and then wait. I hope you have better luck that I did.
