Maria at the front desk was amazing she helped me download the app so I could pay for the machines without needing quarters. The process was so simple you just download the app and enter the machine number you're using. She even checked in on me twice to make sure I didn't have any questions and reassured me the washers worked really well which they absolutely did. I also loved that the app shows how much time is left on your load, so you can step out to your car or relax without constantly checking. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and the entire facility is very clean and well maintained. Overall, such a smooth and pleasant experience. I had a very unpleasant experience at this laundromat. The employee was rude from the moment I walked in. She immediately started yelling at me not to slam the washer doors and to read the directions. I apologized and complied, but she continued to hover over me and monitor everything I was doing. When I was loading a picnic blanket, she repeatedly questioned me about it and spoke to me in a condescending tone. As I carefully closed the washer door, she again raised her voice and accused me of slamming it when I wasn't. I understand employees need to protect the equipment, but there is a respectful way to speak to customers. The constant monitoring, rude attitude, and yelling made me feel uncomfortable enough that I called someone else to come finish the laundry for me. Located in a shipping center surrounded by restaurants. Located behind the drive thru coffee bar. Price for detergent and fabric softener sheets ranges from $1.25-$2.00 (I suggest bringing your own). I used a washer and after the laundry was done in washer found someone left over lip gloss (cap was off, still lip gloss in tube a dark shade at that) was in the washer during my wash. Luckily it didn't get on my clothes and I found it before drying. Washers range from $7-$12 dryers are $0.25 per every 5 minutes or so. I attempted to use two dryers paid money and they went out on me. Luckily the attendant was still there and was able to grab some quarters and paid for me to basically change dryers. Local laundromat, mechanical doors which I love. No more touching door handles. They have coin machines and an atm. There are two soap dispensers, one that has softener and one with Clorox products. They only have a very limited number of baskets, I counted 5. Indoor and outdoor seating, plus several small eateries and a coffee shop in the same plaza. read more

Experienced the worst service today in here . I put my clothes on 40plus minutes to dry to only come back to my clothes not dry . I notified the person in there she basically just told me it's nothing she can do & said it's above the limit no it was not & she could call the owner . She called him he said he has to run the camera's back and I guess do a test on the dryer ! I come here often & load my clothes in the dryer the same way everytime & it never been a problem !! I did not want any money back I just wanted them to add money to the dryer so my clothes can get dry !! I had this happen before & the previous lady that worked here just added Money to the dryer !! Our washer was out and we were waiting for our home warranty for our replacement. Frequented this place weekly for a month. The place is well maintained and clean and there are washers of different sizes available. Dryers are 8 min increments. It could make sense to split larger loads into 2 dryers otherwise it takes a long time to dry. The only drawback is it's cash only and the machines are coin operated. Being without a washer or dryer for a few months, I recently brought my laundry to Ducky Wash & Dry. Overall, it was a very good experience. My biggest complaint is that there wasn't much guidance on what to do. So, I'd like to share what I learned about the laundromat. There are 5 different sized washing machines. The smallest can't handle a full basket of clothes, but is the least expensive ($4). The larger the machine, the more expensive, up to $8 a load. The machines are all front loading and HE (so don't use too much detergent). The machines only take quarters, and there is a change machine that will dispense quarters for $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills (the latter dispenses 40 quarters at first, and then another 40 quarters, so when the first quarters come out, you might want to take some out of the tray immediately so it doesn't overflow. Follow the step-by-step instructions on the machine. All of the machines seemed clean, and only one of about 20 washers was out of order. I used the 3rd largest machine, and the cycle took about 25 minutes. There 2 sizes of dryers. The majority of them are large enough to handle a full load of laundry quite easily, and cost 25¢ for 4 minutes of drying. When you add quarters, the display doesn't count them for you, so you need to keep track of how many quarters you are inserting. I don't know how much the larger dryers cost per 6 minutes of drying (and the machines don't state their cost). But unless you have multiple loads to dry at once, or are washing a comforter or something else large, the "regular" drying machines should be fine. They run very hot at the "high" setting, and 32 minutes (eight quarters) should be more than enough for most loads. You can open the door at any time to check if your clothes are dry, and the dryer will resume when you close the door and press "start." Some other information - there are dispensers for detergent, dryer sheets, fabric softener and laundry bags (see photos for deets). There a number of wheeled baskets you can use to move clothes from the washers to the dryers. There are some large tables for folding. The sign says the attendant is there until 3:30; I didn't use the attendant or any services. The room is air conditioned, but there aren't many seats. If you need a laundromat, I think you will be happy with Ducky (which is good because there aren't many alternatives in the Tri-Valley area). read more

The price has gone up to wash and dry your clothes amount of water that is run through these washers while you're washing your clothes is inadequate. I've watched at least five washers with minimum water flow there are a couple of washers that put out enough water to clean your clothes. I say call the owner see what's up with the water flow problem. read more

I came in here with my mom to help her with laundry since her washer broke. We spent over $100 on laundry. Whoever was working there was so rude when we were folding and telling us to hurry up and put it in our car. We weren't in the way or causing any issues for anyone in the building. Highly unprofessional to treat paying customers this way when we were doing laundry. We won't be back. Whoever the owner is should talk to their female employee about telling customers to hurry up when the pulse was empty since we came at opening. read more

They are a coin operated laundry service. They have machines to get coins if you don't have any. It's clean in here and the machines are efficient. We were in and in out within an hour. They're in a small shopping center located in the corner. Not a bad place to do laundry and it was less crowded than the other laundry place we went to. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this before. I used to come here a lot when I had small rugs to wash. Machines are up-to-date (although I wish you could use a card or Apple Pay and not quarters). The staff is always friendly. The whole place is very neat and clean. There's a bill changer, ATM and detergent vending. There are tables to sit and relax while waiting. This is by far the most disappointing laundromat experience I've ever had, and it's unfortunate because it's the only one close to my home in the Tri-Valley area. As a single mother of four, I depend on this place to help me manage large amounts of laundry -- but my experience here has been consistently unpleasant and unprofessional. On multiple occasions, the washing machines have had a strong, unpleasant odor. When I mentioned this issue to the staff, I was told that some people leave clothing behind and that the machines would be re-cleaned. Unfortunately, when I brought it up again during a later visit, the owner, Jeff, dismissed my concern, saying he didn't smell anything and there was nothing he could do. During my most recent visit, I spent over $100 washing and drying my family's clothes. Several of the dryers were not producing heat at all, even after adding extra quarters. When I asked for help, the employee on duty refused to check the machines and instead blamed my clothes. When I asked the owner for assistance, he again refused to take responsibility, insisting the dryers were fine -- even though they clearly weren't. I ended up leaving with several bags of wet clothes after paying for a full drying service I never received. I felt completely dismissed and disrespected as a paying customer. I've dropped off and have done laundry here and it has gone well each time. While doing laundry in the facility, it is clean and machines kept up. There are some shops and a cafe near that make waiting for laundry not so bad. For drop off service, I've dropped off bedding and have received fresh clean smelling laundry. We were staying at a nearby hotel and the hotel laundry service was insanely expensive (like $8 per shirt!!) so we looked for a nearby laundromat. Ducky had great reviews so we decided to stop by. The place was very clean and, considering this was our first time ever at a laundromat, it was all very straightforward! We used the ATM to get cash, exchanged the cash for quarters, and bought detergent from the dispenser options. There were many empty washers so we picked one and followed the directions. The machines came in three different sizes, capable of doing 3, 4, or 5 loads each, priced at $6, $7, and $10 respectively. While our clothes washed, we grabbed some boba from nearby and came back to wait, sitting in one of the booths on the side. After about 25 minutes, we moved our clothes to an empty dryer. The dryers run in 4 minute increments per quarter, and the time only updates after pressing start. You can add more quarters and press start again to add time mid-cycle. We opted for 28 minutes since we had a pretty small load and these machines can run on really high heat. In hindsight, we probably could've done even less. In the end, our clothes came out nice and dry, smelling fresh and clean. Overall, a first-time laundromat experience that was easy and smooth! read more

I am giving you my honest opinion of their commercial laundromat services. I brought in my daughter's full-size comforter to be washed and dry. My receipt said $25.00, and I was fine with that amount. One week later, I received a text on my cell phone that the comforter is done and ready for pick up, along with a change in price now $45.00. I believe that if you tell a customer a set price, that is the price. I should have been notified by phone of the different price before the comforter was cleaned. The comforter was cleaned nicely, but I have had other comforters cleaned at other laundromats that also looked as nice. I had used their self-serve laundromat before which I found clean, so I decided to use their commercial laundromat cleaning services. Half the dryers don't dry. Now the charge your washers to use hot water. If you press hot water they add on additional.50. Their dryers are .25 for only 3.5 minutes and they don't dry well. The owner is rude and always argues and tells you he views the cameras. Especially if he doesn't want to pay what's owed. He blames it on the the customer saying we don't know how to use the dryers. Most of my reviews are for restaurants, but I was impressed by the customer service at this laundromat. Laundromats usually have a machine or two that are out of service or needing repairs. That's expected. But how you are treated when a machine goes out on you makes the difference. This laundromat has an ATM, 3 change machines, a couple of vending machines for detergent, bleach, fabric softener, etc., and a couple of vending machines for snacks and drinks. Plus washers and dryers of course. I put a $20 bill in a change machine and got $6 in quarters. Then the amber "Out of Service" light came on. The machine ran out of quarters. So I found the phone number on Yelp and called. Expecting to get an answering machine, I was pleasantly surprised when the owner, Jean, answered the call on the first ring. She was quite friendly over the phone. She said she watches the laundromat through the cameras all day long, because of this shelter-in-place she can't be there in person. I got my refund in the mail in two days. Wow! I have been there at closing time too and the woman who comes to clean up at the end of the day is very sweet too. Last wash is at 9:00, so your clothes should be dry by 10. But if they still need a few minutes, she is very nice about it. Be respectful and try to finish on time though. read more

This review is specifically for the wash and fold service provided by the location. The team at the location provided me with consistent wonderful service over the last 4 years. I originally started using them because I was overwhelmed with the amount of laundry I allowed to pile up. The team always takes great care with my clothes and they always smell and look great. Yes, you are going to pay more than doing the clothes yourself but, if you can afford it, it is a worthwhile expense. Honestly, gaining this time back is much more valuable than the cost. It's been a long time since I've needed to use a coin laundry facility (except during my business travels). However, I'm in need to wash my laundry until my washer is replaced. I found Ducky Wash & Dry through Yelp and was pleasantly surprised how clean and "up to date" this facility is. Maybe the cleanliness is due to Covid-19? Regardless, Ducky is the best coin operated laundry facility I've ever used! I come here because it's convenient. Not because it's cheap. It's a bit expensive, but what really irritates me is the people. Please don't stand in front of the washers/dryers with empty carts for the duration of the cycle. Not only does it make it impossible to access other machines, but it's impolite for those who need the carts. There is almost always garbage on the folding tables and on the ground. I've had a washing machine eat my quarters but the staff was nice enough to pay for the cycle and provide me with a refund. Overall, this place isn't terrible. There is an ATM and a change machine which divides $20 in to two batches of 40 quarters. If one wants to multitask there is an oil changers across the street. Or if a pedicure is more your thing, there are two places in the same area to choose from. There is also several restaurants along with a coffee shop. The convenience store is across the street. The only reason a deduction a star was several people without mask. One was working on one of the machines. The women working there were pleasant and helpful. If your clothes get locked in over night, there is a protocol to retrieve them the next day. read more
