Personally thought it was overpriced and overrated for what it was. $35 and a 45 minute wait for a brisket plate and a pork shoulder taco. The potato salad was the best, the beans and taco were a bit on the saltier side, and the brisket was good but we got a piece that was a 1/3 fat which we couldn't eat. Felt a little scammed for $35. I don't think we'll come back, especially with other options in the area that are more worth it for the price and a shorter wait.

I try to go here most Saturdays! The bbq tacos are easily my death row meal. There's a long line pretty much all the way until about 2pm, which is when you can sneak in and get your food pretty quick. The experience of their food is unlike anything around here. Best bbq I've ever had and I keep coming back!

I specifically came to Priedite Barbecue to try their Sunday Bandito burger and honestly, the whole dining experience is such a vibe. Priedite's new home is so dreamy. It's a giant backyard lined with trees and picnic tables. The whole space is captivatingly beautiful - the people, the energy, the vibe. The Bandito burger is as good as promised. The grass fed beef is topped with grilled onions, picante pickles, American cheese, and burger sauce sandwiched between a brioche bun. The burger patties are meaty and un-smashed which I'm absolutely on board with. I love the melty, salty American cheese that's offset by the grilled onions and tangy pickles. It's a damn good burger and worth every penny (only $14 for a double!). Come for the burger of course, but don't sleep on the tacos. First of all, can we talk about the tallow tortillas? The tallow adds a savory richness to the tortilla. In fact, it makes the tortilla taste unexpectedly decadent. Even though the tortilla can stand alone, every taco variation at Priedite is worth ordering: brisket ($8), pork shoulder ($6), and bean & cheese ($3). The meat, the condiments, the tortilla together make for the tastiest bite. Be prepared to wait, but grab a drink on your way in. There's a separate area where you can order drinks while you wait for your food. And do yourself a favor and order a pack of tallow tortillas ($10 for 6).

I am not a big BBQ person but this is truly special and won me over. Priedite BBQ operates a food truck at Bodega Los Alamos on Thursdays through Sundays, 11am - 4pm or when they sell out. Saturday is the big day for the special BBQ and the other days have tacos and smash burgers. We loved the brisket tacos and the bean-cheese tacos! Great outdoor patio with picnic tables. Excellent service. Dog friendly.

For a girl who has grown up eating west coast style bbq all my life Priedite Barbecue has some quality made bbq! The meats are cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The chips and salsa were delicious and the beans, potato salad and handmade tortillas were oh so yummy! We love the beautiful laid back ambiance and the service was friendly and knowledgeable!

Omg this place is incredible. I am not by any means a bbq person but priedite made me a believer. I was headed up to San Luis Obispo and found them on Tik tok. The food looked incredible and I knew we had to stop. We ordered two meat plates so we could try off of the sides. Everything was 12/10 I was shook. I love how nothing was sweet, only savory. The beans tasted like chili, the slaw was super refreshing, potato salad diving and pickles addicting. The pork shoulder and brisket were out of this world!!! I would definitely make the drive back to experience this again.

I live in Santa Maria and a lot of people rave about this burger because they use good quality leftover meat for their patties. Personally I still was not a fan and believe the best smash burger is in Santa Barbara. Ambiance is great because you can grab a drink and enjoy the outdoors. Service is slow but because they have a long line wrapping around into the beer/wine garden. I prefer their tacos more so and would come back for those.

The food at Priedite is awesome! The pork ribs are extremely tender and flavorful. The taco also great, the meat is juicy and there's great flavor from the toppings. It's a nice place to bring the family for a picnic style seating area with plenty of tables.

5 Stars - Delicious Food in a Charming, Dog-Friendly Spot We stopped in Los Alamos for lunch and are so glad we did. Priedite BBQ & Bandito Burgers is tucked behind Bodega on Bell Street, with a relaxed outdoor setting, plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas, and a welcoming, dog-friendly vibe. You can even grab a glass of wine or a beer next door at Bodega to enjoy with your meal. We visited on a weekday when they were serving burgers and tacos (BBQ might be weekends only). The double cheeseburger was perfect--juicy, cheesy, and served on a soft brioche bun. We also loved the brisket and pork shoulder tacos. The hot sauce was excellent--definitely get it if you're trying the tacos! The potato salad was also fantastic--balanced and not too sweet. This place is a wonderful addition to the already charming town of Los Alamos. We'll absolutely be back anytime we're passing through. Highly recommend!

I'll start with saying my husband is an excellent bbq-er. So, my taste is a little bias. We arrived at 11:15 and were to the front of the line at 1pm. There was complimentary coffee, cold brew, and water while we waited midway through the line. The brisket was a little dry and the pork shoulder was nothing too special. The ribs were fantastic. I loved the tortilla and beans! Bring your patience and prepare to kick back while you wait. It made for an adventure and once a year experience!

Tried this place for the first time with friends, and let me tell you--I was scheduling my next visit mid-bite! The food was absolutely that good. I had the best time and can't wait to bring my family along next time.

    Long line but worth it!

After a scenic drive through the beautiful backcountry roads of the…read moreSanta Ynez Valley, my travel partner and I found ourselves in Los Alamos, searching for a sweet treat. With not much open around us, we turned to Google for help and stumbled upon Charlie's Restaurant. What a fantastic surprise! My friend ordered a chocolate pineapple milkshake--a creative blend not listed on the menu. She thought it would be a delightful combination, and she was absolutely right. Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area--perhaps for those onion rings next time! The bathroom had a sign on the wall with a picture of a toilet saying please seat yourself If you're in Los Alamos, don't miss out on this hidden gem!

It's an interesting setup, as there's a separate space for Pico and a space for Lumen Wines, however we were told that the wine tastings are done in the restaurant. The ambiance is upscale-casual, the service is excellent (thanks Kali for getting my joke and making me laugh on our last visit), and the food is wonderfully delicious. They have main floor seating, a balcony, and a back patio, so request your spot when making a reservation. DRINKS: They have a full bar and the cocktails we've tried were very well made. The wine list is primarily Lumen wines, but there are some other local and old-world wines available, and some alcohol-free cocktails and beer too. On our first visit, we tried a Lumen wine tasting flight consisting of a '21 Chardonnay, a '21 Pinot Noir, and a '21 Grenache, and a couple extra pours, like the Escence orange wine and the "Hey Ginger" Pet Nat (check out my separate review for Lumen Wines). FOOD: We've eaten something on all three visits and everything we've tried has been very good. The menu is seasonal, so it's ever changing. The appetizers/entrées we've tried are the Wedge Salad, Kabocha Salad, Grilled Carrots, Avocado Crudo, Channel Island Squid, Steak Tartare, Pico Burger, and Rabbit Carnitas Tostadas. The food is well-seasoned and prepared as ordered. The kitchen seems to work well with the wait staff to coordinate when courses are delivered, so you're not getting everything at once. Pico is one of our favorite spots in the Los Alamos/Los Olivos/Buellton area and well worth the drive if you're not staying right nearby. I highly recommend you check them out.

Our group of 5 all ordered $30 wine tastings where we were not allowed to actually select the wines to taste. When I asked what wines would be included, the server identified several on the menu and unfortunately only half of these ended up being included in the final tasting. As our group began to enjoy our tasting, the staff unexpectedly took our heater away to warm a 2 top table without ever asking our group if we still wanted the heater (we did, it was 50 degrees out). One person in our group brought out a leftover bite of baguette from a previous stop in town and was QUICKLY alerted by the owner with the wag of a finger and note that "they sell food there and she can't bite her own food." The owner waited until my friend put her small bite in her purse before walking away. When checking out, the server told us we'd need to pay via one card only (fine) and proceeded to watch closely as my friend chose her gratuity option (rude). Although we selected a nice 20% tip on the screen prompt, the actual math shook out to a 24% tip without us ever agreeing to it.
