We came here on a quick trip to Solvang and saw the reviews on Yelp and thought we'd try it. Being on more of a Keto lifestyle, they were very accommodating and the food was great! My husband ordered the chili verde omelette and it was so fantastic that we stopped by a couple of days later to have it again! The brioche French toast was soggy in the middle so you had to eat the outside. It came with fruit but it was just two strawberries cut up. The eggs were really bland. They charged a $1 for a tablespoon of ranch. The omelet with ham, cheese was decent, the bread was hard as rock, extremely hard, the hashbrowns were burnt on the outside and extremely greasy and undercooked on the inside. Found this wonderful little restaurant while visiting Solvang. Had breakfast there with hubby and friends. White linen tablecloths, delicious coffee with a little biscotti and warmed creamer! Food was delicious-French toast was perfectly prepared. Portion sizes are on the larger side so go hungry. Service was friendly and polite. First time at Leo's Cafe! Overall, it's a place I would definitely come back to. The servers were pleasant and friendly. The restaurant itself was quaint and had a lot character. It's important to note that as of this review 1/3/2024, several of the pictured items through Yelp are not on the menu. The waiter did explain that often times they are specials on the menu, so just keep that in mind when you make it out to Leo's. My wife and I started off with a cup of coffee and that was on point. I really liked that served us the coffee with warm creamer. Love when restaurants do this! Keeps that cup of coffee nice and hot, how I like it! For our meal, I ordered Gary's Pork Chile Verde Omelette!!! This was AMAZING!! Probably one of the BEST omelette I've ever had. The pork was very tender and the sauce was not too spicy at all and the chile verde had a great flavor and acidity. The crème on top of the omelette helps break the acidity. The Gruyère cheese, in my opinion, really ties this omelette all together!! The potatoes were were warm for my taste. I like my food hot and the potatoes could have been crispier. I'll definitely ask for that next time. My wife ordered the waffle and unfortunately, the waffle was a little dry. Sometimes that happens! Probably the only reason I didn't give them a 5 star review. We were seated by this nice Photo called "Lennon's Wall" it just so happened I was wearing colorful Beatles Yellow Submarine socks. The associate gave us descriptions on the menu and the specials, I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes, my wife ordered waffles. The biscuits n gravy was great, the potatoes nice n hot and great, and the eggs were really extra good, I didn't want to ruin them with Tabasco that I usually have, I tried one little section with Tabasco but again it didn't need it. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated with a high chair while 3 customers came in and sat themselves at each of the seats we had picked out. Food is pretty good for this area being that most of the restaurants are not edible. However, for the price, it's a little ridiculous.
