We worked with Meghan, who was lovely. Were were looking for 2 replacement dishwashers because one of ours conked out and they were both almost 8 years old (built in obsolescence made it not worth repairing). She was extremely honest and gave us all of the details we needed to make a smart choice. I had already reviewed many details on Consumer Reports so I had a few questions that I know were correctly answered because I'd done my research ahead of time. I've bought appliances (including BBQ) from only Plesser's for the last 8 years, and I've spent a lot, but the service I've gotten is amazing! You're not just a#, you're a real person and they are extremely helpful. Honestly, I think it would be crazy to go anywhere else because they can get you ANYTHING you might wants. It's ok to look elsewhere if you want to see something they don't have on display, but when it's time to buy I see it as a no-brainer. Plesser's all the way. read more

I purchased an AGA Elise Series range from Plessers approximately one year ago, a nearly $13,000 appliance. It arrived defective straight out of the box: one of five burners did not function at all, and the oven preheats at a fraction of the expected rate. What followed was a year of frustration. Plessers initially dismissed my concerns and directed me to the manufacturer, Middleby. Middleby directed me back to Plessers. After considerable back-and-forth, Plessers arranged a repair visit, but the technician arrived without parts. Weeks later, a second visit. The burner still did not work. The repair technician himself advised me to request a full return and replacement, as the unit should never have shipped in this condition. Plessers refused. When I disputed the charge with my credit card company, Plessers contested it. After that, they stopped responding entirely to my letters and calls. It took months more before they arranged a third repair appointment, at which point the technician again arrived without the necessary parts. One full year later, I have a $13,000 range sitting in my kitchen with a non-functional burner. I have received no resolution, no accountability, and no meaningful customer service only rudeness and stonewalling at every turn. I would strongly urge anyone considering a major appliance purchase to look elsewhere. Plessers' conduct after the sale has been, at every stage, deeply disappointing. Don't buy showroom items We bought a full high end kitchen to find out later on that it was incomplete. They sold us a hood without the fan, and a set of three fridges without brackets. In addition they are denying the issue and not helping at all. read more

Got brand new appliances from Plessers and the dishwasher had major issues - door would not shut properly, and hose was leaking. I immediately notified Plessers of the two issues. They said it was the manufacture and not their responsibility to fix it. They gave me a number to call, I had to wait on hold for hours, send multiple emails, and it took over 2 weeks to get the new part and a tech to finally come out. 2 full weeks without a brand new dishwasher that works. As I write this, service is finally scheduled for tomorrow and they asked for a 10 hour arrival window! Crazy. These should be simple, in stock parts. The Plessers customer service department has no idea what is happening... as service is outsourced. They did tell me that if my plumber replaced the hose, it would breach the warranty. DO NOT BUY from Plessers. DO NOT BUY from Plessers!! The entire experience was horrible, they should have exchanged the dishwasher, taken it back, or mailed me the correct part. I encourage anyone buying appliances... ensure they have IN HOUSE service!! Go across the street to P.C. Richard's, as they have their own in house service department, Plessers does not have their own service department. I bought my kitchen appliances from Plessers and everything else from PC Richard's, it was a night and day better experience across the street! It might sound like it's not a big for them to outsource service, but it is. PC Richard's will price match anyone, and you can use their service department so they come out immediately. Run away from Plessers!! read more

DON'T BUY APPLIANCES HERE! Despite the fact that my husband and I have spent so much money at this store, they wouldn't let us return an item that THEIR driver opened. After purchasing our first home we wanted to support a local business when it came to appliance shopping. We researched local appliance stores and ultimately purchased a $3K Miele washer/dryer, a $10K Bertazzoni induction range, and a $3K Fisher Paykel fridge from Plesser's in Southampton. Our first purchase was great, no issues. When it came time to purchase our new Miele dishwasher and small bar fridge, we of course wanted to shop with Plesser's again. We worked with Emily to place our order. The day our appliances arrived, the delivery driver offered to unpack the fridge, to which my husband said sure. The driver did not unpack the dishwasher. Later that night, my husband realized we had ordered the wrong size bar fridge. We emailed Emily to ask to return the bar fridge and place an order for a new one. We were told that because the bar fridge was opened, they were unable to take it back, because their return policy is that all opened boxes are not returnable. We asked if they could make an exception because a.) we've spent so much money with them in the past and we were loyal customers at that point and b.) the driver unpacked it for us and at no point did he say that by unpacking it, it would essentially render the item un-returnable. Emily said no, they weren't taking it back. We also asked to speak to a manager, and from then on were ignored completely. I still can't believe that they wouldn't let us exchange this bar fridge for another one. We were clearly repeat customers, and we were even willing to return it for the 30% restocking fee they take for still boxed items (which is also crazy!). We will never be shopping at Plesser's again due to their terrible return policy, and frankly, their non-existent customer service. So much for shopping local. Buyer beware! read more

BUYER/SHOPPER BEWARE!!!!!! My opinion here shouldn't count. I say that because I ordered a range from here, and they placed the order. I'm used to someone placing my order with me on the phone, in person, or I do it myself online. I spoke to the sales manager Robert, and he took my info and said he'd call me back, and I didn't hear anything back. I received an invoice about 2.5 hours later showing the order was place, however, it did not include the warranty that we'd discuss on Saturday. Once I looked over the invoice, I tried to contact Robert, and there was no response. I left a message, including my name and number, and there's been no contact. I tried again on Monday later on and was again transferred again voicemail. I did not leave another message. I hung up, called back, and spoke to someone else. They added the warranty to my invoice. A few hours later, or perhaps the next day, I got an email advising me that the range is damaged and they are unable to get it. I asked if there was any possibility that they'd be able to get it in the future. I have not received a reply as of today 6/7/24. I also wanted to discuss my invoice, and was unable to reach the sales rep. I read that Plessers was family owned and they care about their customers. That is a lie. They care about their commission. I am a sales person, and my focus is ensuring that when I assist a member, I let them know that I am here should they have any questions. In my opinion, when you place an order for someone, be it a 150K or 3K, follow up with a phone call to go over the invoice prior to charging them, in the event they have questions, or might need to add or remove something from the order. Everyone deserves a chance to be heard, and everyone deserves a chance to change their mind. Not that I was planning to. I would not recommend. PS. I received an email (probably automatic) the email asked me to leave a review so that Roberts manager can see he's doing his job. Well, I hope his manager sees this. I ordered a suite of kitchen appliances for my new kitchen. 2 of the appliances were received damaged. One was repaired. The $7k Electrolux induction stove has been an endless battle between Plessers, Electrolux and RTV appliance repair. Plessers has abandoned their responsibility to selling me this broken oven, and has dumped me on Electrolux who continues to come up with ways to delay the inevitable. I chose to work with Plessers, a small business, but have been told by the repairman that PC Richards would have arbitrated for a successful conclusion. This whole experience is beyond frustrating and not worth repeating. It's as if they're hoping I just give up on having an oven or spend more money to make this whole thing ends. Terrible customer service from these two companies. Trust me when I warn you, this is not a business worth dealing with. read more

I ordered an expensive new stove and a hood vent from Plessers. They sent a stove for the wrong type of fuel (I have propane and they sent Natural Gas). They refused to take back and exchange the stove since it had been hooked up and now was "used". In order to make the stove useable we spent an additional $1,100 for parts and labor to convert the fuel source. We had also ordered a new hood vent since ours did not seem to be working well. When the installer came for the stove he also cleaned out our hood vent and said we didn't need a new one and should balance our budget and return the hood vent that was delivered and was in our garage. I called Plessers and spoke with the sales person who told me I would have to pay $350 to cover the delivery charges and re-stocking fee. She recommended since $350 is half what the new hood vent cost I should just go ahead and install it. Sales referred me to Customer Service, Customer Service referred me back to Sales. I cannot believe how inflexible this store is about returns and restocking. I will never shop at Plessers again and recommend that you don't either. read more
