PLNT Cheeseburger & Crispy Herb Fries are delicious!!! I am far from a Vegan but I would eat this again. The PLNT burger tastes just like a real cheeseburger, just meatless. I would choose this over McDonald's any day. It was flavorful, satisfying and didn't make me feel crappy afterwards. The herb aioli dipping sauce is a nice touch to the fries. This review is for takeout only: my staff has raved about this place and yesterday they went for a pick up for several staff members. I decided to forgo eating my salad and dip my feet into the Vegan swimming pool. I have not eaten red meat for a longggg time.. we're talking over two decades. I consume turkey burgers at least 2x a month and am looking for a good veggie option. My staff recommended to start basic.. burger and fries. I didn't want bread thus asked for pita substitute ( cheating but a lighter "roll"). My first bite.. reminded me of 7th Street burger.. but vegan style. The "meat" really tasted like meat but of course it's vegan: plant based patty, Roma tomatoes, caramelized onions and lettuce with special sauce. My staff also brought me the crispy herb fries that did taste like real fries and came with a side of garden herb sauce. Final analysis: good but once I reviewed the nutritional contents I'm concerned about the sodium content for the meal. ( see my pics) Thus, this will be another once in a blue moon cheat. There are other sandwich options: chicken, fish, steak and sweet potato fries and desserts like shakes. Four stars for a great concept, minus one star due to pricing: $13.39 for burger and fries. I've been trying more vegan/vegetarian foods lately. When I got a text saying that PLNT Burger was offering a Free Lunch promo with my Future debit card, I thought it was serendipitous. I was only a couple blocks away from the Nomad location. It's a bright, well lit shop with a handful of tables and a high top ledge with bars stools. A mural on the wall shows a beautiful butterfly and the city's other PLNT locations. I stepped up to the counter and began using the tablet to place my order. It's pretty straight forward, but I wanted a combo and couldn't find one. Samantha was ready to help. She let me know there aren't combos, but there is a kids meal that comes with a burger, fries and drink. Maybe combos are something to consider in the future. I went with a cheeseburger and added some crispy herb fries. My order was ready in a few minutes and I was pleasantly surprised. The cheeseburger was hot, juicy and full of flavor. The herb fries were tasty too. Especially with the spicy aioli sauce. Tried the PLNT sauce also, but the pickles weren't my thing. That aioli though. Hard to believe it's All vegan. When you download the app you get a free "chicken" sandwich reward, giving me a reason to check PLNT out again. Looking forward to trying the other locations! read more

I was taking forever getting my hair transformed at a salon in Flatiron with a 9 year old in tow who was patiently doing her best to stay entertained as 3 hours turned into 4. I let her decide where lunch would be and she chose French fries and milkshakes. I yelped and found PLNT Burger a short walk away. I should have mentioned that my daughter has been vegetarian since birth--so this spot was especially exciting. I am not a fan of fake meat. My veggie burgers are lentils or beans, usually. But this place was the junk food I didn't know I was missing! My daughter had a kids meal with a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. I had a bacon cheeseburger with the regular fries. We added two small shakes (one S'mores and one mint cookies n cream). We also tried the BBQ and Honey Mustard sauces. Everything was delicious--especially the shakes! If you're missing fast food burgers, I can't recommend this enough! There's nothing healthy about it BUT it hits the spot for sure. I've been to the NoMad location several times. The service is always great. When placing an order, you might get told an average of 8 minutes per order. But they somehow find ways to bring out your food even faster than that. This location also has two floors/levels and is great for big groups (4-6, etc.) Lastly, the fries are as crisp as I want them to be (I need that crunch) and the burgers as juicy and filling as ever. read more

My introduction to PLNT Burger was when they were on 42nd St. My review of their burgers was sparkling. I got a notice about $10 off for prior 42nd St customers so I schlepped downtown. I decided to try a couple sides, the string beans and fried pickles. The string beans were great, nicely seasoned, crisp yet tender. The Fried Pickles however were a sickening looking, soggy, greasy bag of BS that wasn't fit to be served to a dog . (Photos attached) It really pissed me off that I made a trip for this. Tried the vegan cheeseburger today. I believe they use beyond meat patties. Personally I prefer a black bean or lentil burger and something not processed. Nonetheless, the burger was decent. So I'm strolling down the street and see the sign for this spot, take a sec to look up reviews for it and they were great so I took the chance and boy am I glad that I did Spot has some retro vibes, multilevel seating, and was spotless. They have a couple touchscreens you can use to order your food and they just call your name when it's time. The green bean fries were something I'd never seen before and were surprisingly crunchy! They are cooked all they way through but covered in a nice lil batter, I got the "spicy dust" added to them for some kick and it was even better with the PLNT sauce. Now that burger.... I've had plenty beyond burgers in my day (I usually prefer impossible) but this was one of the best. They cooked it really close to the smash burger style where it had a nice lil crust as it was real beef which was cool, and they clearly seasoned it well beyond the sauce. The thing that takes it to the next level is the "bacon" which is crispy and crunchy whatever cheese option they used was melty but not overly gooey like some vegan cheese can be. I hope this place stays open for business forever. I have dairy and gluten food allergies and this is the ONLY place I can get a delicious cheeseburger, fries and milkshake combo. Though I am not vegan I do eat mostly plant-based, and the flavor/texture/aesthetic of the food here is amazing. The brand is mission-focused and makes you feel good about helping the planet and your body. The cost is very fair given the quality ingredients; no yucky government-subsidized factory-farmed animal products here. The interior is vibrant but calm, and very clean. The service is friendly and fast. I'll always make it a point to visit here when I'm in the neighborhood. I hope they can thrive and open more locations again (hopefully in Brooklyn)! read more
