I am vegan and have been for many years and it pains me to write a negative review of a new plant based chain. I have wanted to see a plant based burger and fries, or McDonalds style vegan restaurant for years, however, I feel this place has potential, but it needs work. When I entered the manager was talking to staff about some type of orientation he had to do with each person individually and did not even greet or notice I was standing at the counter. He left and I had a moment to ask a few questions of one staff member who spent most of the time talking to another about what food she could take home for free after her shift. I asked if the food was made to order and was told yes. I asked this because no one else was there and the place was empty and I didn't want cold fries or food that had been sitting for hours. Well, after I placed my order, that's exactly what I received. I ordered the seer potato fries and the chicken nuggets and both were incredibly greasy and the fries were cold. I had to select sauces when ordered and I ordered a two different sauces, since I wanted to try options. Well, even with no one there. I think one other take out order was placed, the staff couldn't get the sauces correct. And gave me the same sauce x 2. I had to ask for the other sauce. I can't imagine what it will be like when it is crowded. In my mind that is pure laziness and disregard for doing your job. Which saddens me that vegan food isn't being made by people who care about customers or the quality of service and food. Do we want people to see vegan food and service equivalent to disgruntled and non-caring McDonald's employees or do we want it to be better. I'd say McDonald's service is probably better then this place. I was greatly disappointed and truly left with a stomach ache from the excessive oil and grease in my food. Or was it that it sat for hours. Idk. But I won't be back. The only positive was the interior space was nice. I do still see potential in this restaurant and I think with some necessary training and made to order food it will be better. As for now I'd like a credit for my $12.50 stomach ache. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I genuinely wish I had gotten a picture of the mushy mess I got. I ordered the mushroom BBQ bacon burger and for one, they left off the bacon! The mushrooms did not taste fully cooked, they were very hard, and the actual vegan patty was very tasteless. I'm not sure if it was Impossible, Beyond, or what but it definitely wasn't anything homemade or well-made. On the website it just says "plant-based patty" with no other information. The bun was soggy and fell apart. I should have known something was off by how fast it had come out. My order literally came out less than two minutes after I ordered it. Thank goodness I didn't pay for it because I would have been even more disappointed and regretful. Won't ever come back here. read more

In a nutshell: Do you want to support Vegan comfort fast food, PLNT Burger is the yummy new King -not in any way affiliated with the old King Cow patties- in town!!! THE GOOD Smile of the delivery guy, and handed the order in my hands. The food was HOT, this experience it's so vastly different from the last time when I ordered through Yelp, which uses the same delivery people. Just the ordering that goes from no updates to instantly having them at your doorstep seconds away. THE BAD Because of the high level of attention to detail executing the order and arrival on time (among others I'll mention later), I will be generous with the rating but will continue to be honest nonetheless: The guac "sauce" was an afterthought and when you're charged 2 dollars for it, it does make you feel a certain type of way... not cool dudes. The shake was too liquid, I only had it in the fridge while having the meal so I doubt it was the delivery either, the machine was not running or if prepared manually, they added too much oatmilk. I was tempted to order the combo meal just to try it but I knew I wouldn't be able to if I wanted to do the allegedly shake, as there weren't any other options other than sad-looking cookies. I'd like this chain to quickly expand its dessert options or, if shakes, floats, whatever is going to be their thing, give others textures other than cookies because you are in a position where to make money by satisfying the sweet craving many of us have. THE BEST Hot sweet potato fries, sure some were a bit soggy (not with the very large wedges) but those things were taken into consideration in the design of the food packaging as you see in the pics. The sauce for the fries, their "honey mustard" version is very yummy but even ordering a small service of fries do yourself justice with at least 3! The Steakhouse Burger is worth every penny, if you crave for a very deep, hearty old continent flavor with a touch of Texan, I give it 10 stars out of 5. Sure, the meager but delicious guacamole ought to add to the flavor but frankly not necessary... better to add it with nachos were to really appreciate it. S'Mores OATasty Shake with Chocolate chips is like drinking an orgasm but without the vodka, obvi! I made a note of the order and the fact that they acknowledge it deserves another 10 stars out of 5 for that, thank you to those who prepared my meal and packaged it. I came here with a friend for dinner and was surprised by how tasty everything is! I wanted something warm and comforting because it was raining outside so I got the chili bowl, although the burgers looked delicious. The chili was rich and flavorful, and the cheddar and sour cream were creamy and wonderful with the soup. I also got the herby french fries, but they were too salty and soggy and I was disappointed. I thought they were potato wedges and was sad to see them shoestring. I will try the sweet potato next time and a burger! The food is a bit pricey, but a great plant based option. As a carnivore, I'm aiming to write a review based on what this place is and not what I want it to be. Why did I come? It was on my way back to work and I was craving something new and fun. Never tried a Beyond Meat burger before and was willing to give it a shot. Ask yourself what you want it to be. Do you want it to taste just like a beef burger from a fast food joint? It won't. The texture is better than your freezer-section Boca burger, no doubt. But it's just not the same. Who cares? That's not what it's supposed to be. What is it then? It's delicious. It's healthy and makes you feel better about not going to Shake Shack across the street to stuff your face with grease and fat. The burger had flavor and toppings were fresh. The potato bun was just that. The herb fries were on point. And spicy aioli was really good. The blood orange soda was fine, but had a candy-ish taste to it. I got a crispy chik'n sandwich and my husband got the chik'n tenders. We got both sweet potato fries and regular fries. With a cookie and strawberry milkshake for dessert. Dining in was great, clean, not too crowded but busy enough to feel a good vibe. My fav part was the strawberry milkshake. 100 vegan fast food! I'm not vegan and not going to lie, I was pretty skeptical. It was amazing! I could compare this food to some of the other fast food giants, but I think it deserves more than that. The chicken nuggets tasted like chicken! More importantly the seasoning and sauces made them incredible! The mushroom bacon burger was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The sodas were all natural and were uniquely delicious. I ordered a meal and was happy to find that the burger was the best part. The mushroom bacon burger was amazing. The herb fries were disappointing. I can't describe in words how excited I was to see that a place like this existed. The hotel I stayed at in NYC was in walking distance of one and I had never heard of PLNT Burger before a google search for vegetarian food close to my location. It was so great I had to get it again the next day before we left. I wish there were more locations!!! Especially one in CT so I wouldn't have to travel so far for a late night snack such an awesome place for a quick meal for days that are too hectic to cook and a salad just won't do the trick.
