    Strawberry Milkshake
    Peter D.

I wish I could say better stuff about this place, but my visit to PLNT Burger left me deeply disappointed. I tried their take on a strawberry milkshake and the consistency was more water than anything else. In addition, their milkshake tasted off. The patty melt did not wow me, so the food disappointed me. When I tried to place my order, there was a crowd of customers waiting for their orders - some waiting as long as 20 minutes. My order took 15 minutes, but I can understand that some times are busier than others. Overall, I probably would not go back :(

I think the burgers are hit or miss depending who's making them and sometimes service is extremely slow even when it's not busy. On this particular occasion I ordered the PLNT Mushroom BBQ Bacon Burger. The burger is good but nothing spectacular. I use ClassPass credits to purchase food here when my credits are about to expire. I would never pay for this otherwise. You're better off eating the hot food at Whole Foods.

Was my 1st time trying something from the menu. I regret only getting 1. It was so delicious. I will be returning to try other stuffs off their menu.

The burger was paltry with an unripened slice of tomato on an ultra-processed bun, smothered in an overpowering sauce. The chili is so sugary it doesn't even taste like chili at all. Overall, completely disappointed by the low-quality and high pricing for sub-standard food.

Friggin delicious!! I didn't realize sweet potato fries could be so yummy and the burger was marvelous. I didn't use any of the supplied condiments and impressed I didn't need to. The food was cooked to order and reasonably priced. I truly enjoyed every bit of the meal.

As a vegetarian trying to find a good fastfood chicken sandwich- this is honestly so good ! The service was pretty quick and chill. It's a tiny little shop located inside of a Whole Foods and was worth the search. I would try something else next time ! Main downside is that it's like $20 for a large meal with a 'large' drink but gurl that's a small if I've ever seen one.

This is my new favorite restaurant from DC and I can't stop ordering from here! They basically sell plant based versions of fast foods. I tried a couple of things from PLNT burger and my favorites were the chili cheese fries and the spicy chicken sandwich. The chili is very sweet and is a nice balance to the fries. The spicy chicken sandwich is moderately spicy and super flavorful, and the texture is just like chicken! It is also located inside of a Whole Foods, which I love. They also have a 2-for-1 deal on the spicy chicken sandwiches on Uber Eats. Love this place and plan on coming back many times.

Today I didn't have any issues with placing my order (probably because I did it from my laptop). Anyhow, I ordered the PLNT Cheeseburger and a S'Mores OATasty. After fixing the shake the cashier tells me they didn't have anymore grilled marshmallows (which was the only reason why I ordered that shake in particular). I was pressed for time and didn't have time to debate it. The "burger" and the shake was on point. I didn't get to take pics lol, but believe me it was delicious! Can't wait to try some more items!

After an afternoon of helping friends move into their apartment, this quick meal was satisfying. My friends who are huge meat eaters actually enjoyed this too. This was their first time trying plant protein too. If there are a few things I would suggest, it would be don't be afraid of spice! :) The Spicy Chik'n Funguy while it had the crispy element; needed a little more of the spicy marinade to boost it! Otherwise I liked it. The veggie chili was okay; a little sweet for my liking. It reminded me of sloppy joes from when I was a kid; more so than chili. I would have liked it if there was more cumin and some cayenne thrown in there. Overall, I would still come again and try some more of their options!

Definitely more than hype! Just burgers and fries inside the Navy Yard Whole Foods, the specialty burgers like the one pictured below aren't much different than if you were to add on bacon or vegetable for about the same price. They make everything made to order, and make sure you include the fries. The crispy herb fries were exactly that and weren't too oily at all. You can choose from a selection of four dipping sauces, I went for the spicy aioli which could have used slightly more zest but would be fine as a condiment on one of their burgers. I truly wish they'd come up to PA, or one of our local Whole Foods locations would consider it!

I loved this place!!! First of all I ordered on the app (the first time you order you get $5 off, which is a great deal!). As I was walking up to the counter my meal was ready within I would say a minute. I literally went inside as soon as I hit send on the app. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich that was made from king oyster mushrooms and wow! It looked, smelled, and tasted like a real Buffalo chicken sandwich. They use follow your heart cheese (pepper-jack) and I was a bit apprehensive in having them put the cheese on it because I don't like vegan cheese, but this one was surprisingly delicious. It actually tasted like real cheese (shocker I know!). I throughly enjoyed the sandwich but I will say it was slightly on the salty side. The fries are just weird! I love French Fries and these weren't terrible but they also weren't amazing. The flavor was interesting and I honestly could have done with out them. Next time I will try the little blooming onions they make (even though it is a major surcharge). All in all if you are looking for authentic fast food but a vegan version this is the place for you!! I feel like the amazing-ness of this place hasn't really caught on yet, but it will! I also love they attach it to a Whole Foods, it allows you to get other items such as sparkling water if you don't want a soda and if you are traveling it's a great spot to get both food and a clean bathroom!

Super crispy! The spicy ketchup was the perfect condiment. - Generals Chick'n (Taiwanese fried plant-based Chick'n, tomato, seared broccoli & scallions with generals sauce): Overall, I liked this dish- the chick'n was perfectly crunchy and tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the signature rice was well-cooked (in fact, I regretted getting half salad/half rice instead of full rice). However, the sauce was a bit too gloopy and sweet for my taste, and the broccoli didn't seem super fresh. The ambiance is good: lots of seating, nice view of the city. Service is fast and friendly: you order on an iPad and pick up at the counter. Located within a quick walk to the Metro so very accessible. 8/10 would recommend!

On the side, I added a Garlic Naan. We were looking for a quick meal. SpiceX delivered a good amount of flavor at fast food speeds. If you're looking for a sit-down experience, this location is at a bit of a disadvantage since all of these components are put into a plastic tray, everything is intermingling, and it looks like a mess. They only have plastic forks and knives (no spoons) which makes it hard to eat these saucy dishes. Lastly, since a lot of things are pre-made, they're not super hot and they don't adjust the spice level. My favorite thing about naan is it tastes like fresh bread from the oven, which you don't get here. Everything is very mild, and we normally get dishes mild to medium in heat level. If you can get past all that, I think all the flavors are pretty good and the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. If you're in this area, I think it is a worthy choice for a quick and affordable meal.

As someone who does not typically gravitate toward vegetarian/vegan menus, the meal felt especially fresh and quietly innovative--proof that vegetable-forward cuisine, when handled with this level of intent, can be just as compelling, layered, and satisfying as any traditional tasting menu. Opting for the Camino Corto menu proved to be a well-judged choice. Paired with the supplemental arepas, it offered a generous and satisfying progression without ever feeling heavy. The arepas--served with guasacaca, cashew sour cream, and chontaduro butter--were an excellent addition, setting a warm, flavorful tone and easily standing as a highlight on their own. From there, the menu unfolded with precision and clarity. The picaron with persimmon, lúcuma, and huacatay was playful yet composed. The arracacha with fava beans, plantain, and mushroom dashi brought depth and umami-driven warmth, while the watermelon ceviche with white soy, cilantro, and quinoa delivered brightness and balance. The malanga course offered satisfyingly to-the-perfect point chewy texture, and the arroz con gandules--pigeon peas, sofrito, and sea beans--managed to feel both comforting and refined, a balance not easily achieved. Dessert, a modern bienmesabe with coconut sponge, coconut praline, and pineapple sorbet, closed the meal with elegance and lift. What stood out most was how seamlessly the kitchen elevated vegetables beyond expectation--never as substitutes, but as the main event. Each dish felt intentional, expressive, and complete. Service mirrored the cuisine in its composure and warmth: attentive without intrusion, polished without stiffness. There is a quiet confidence throughout MITA that allows guests to settle in and fully engage with the experience. This is the kind of restaurant that shifts perspective--where even a dedicated omnivore leaves not missing anything, but instead discovering something new. Because it was a set prix-fixe that wasn't posted publicly beforehand, it felt like a bit of a gamble, and unfortunately, it didn't pay off for my group. There was very little room for accommodating dietary preferences, which was surprising for a vegetable-forward concept. It would have helped if they had made the menu public so we knew what to expect before sitting down. The Malanga Gnocchi was a letdown. As a main course, it felt uninspired and lacked the "wow" factor I expected from a place with this reputation. Overall, I felt the dishes could have been much more inventive. For a Michelin-level spot, the flavors felt a bit safe and didn't showcase the full potential of plant-based Latin cuisine. The service remains attentive and the space is beautiful, but for the price point, I wanted more.
