Ploy Thai Bistro is still the best Thai restaurant in Cle Elum area! Went there yesterday and the food was still bomb! Only thing changes was limit capacity for indoor dining. Great service and food.

Ploy Thai Bistro is a great lunch stop in Cle Elum about and hour away from the Gorge. The restaurant was very clean and decorated with plant and Thai trinkets. My friends and I came around 3:00pm for lunch and there were only two other tables filled. We were served immediately with the sweetest waitress. She made sure all of our orders were in order and checked back when changes needed to be made. Service was also very quick! Side note: Cell service is slim in this restaurant and the areas around. Panang Curry with Chicken (spice level 3): I loved how this curry had mushrooms and lots of chicken. There was a great balance of veggies and meat. The curry broth was decent, but not the best I've had. If you enjoy a light spice in your meal, then 3 is the perfect level. The rice on the side was also cooked very well. I was pretty full after eating the entire meal. Overall, Ploy Thai Bistro is a great stop if your heading to the Gorge or want a comforting meal for only $11! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on a small trip and we chose this place. AMAZING DECISION. The lobby was clean, had an amazing vibe, and despite being understaffed due to COVID they had amazing times on all of the dishes and everything was cooked to perfection. I'm talking mouthwatering good. Amazing service. Wish we lived closer. Appetizer was crab wontons 10/10 perfect crunch and freshly cooked. My girlfriend got the Garlic chicken - FANTASTIC. Had amazing flavor. I got the green curry and it was probably one of the best bowls of curry I have ever had.

Decided to eat here after driving thru & shopping at the Dollar Tree. Very yummy Thai food! Check out their specials, we had curry fried rice with prawns & chicken Panang curry. Both were yum! Clean place with friendly family owned service. Stop here for a good meal when driving on I-90 & tired of greasy fast food. Cheap gas & groceries nearby too.

I'm used to good Pho, and I must say this place lived up to expectations. Went for the Special Pho and the Bahn Mi. the Pho was good, the broth was flavorful and the meat portion was generous. Was slightly miffed that they were out of basil and beansprouts, but forgot about that one I ate the Pho, it had a nice dish flavor, the meat and noodles were good quality. A lot of pho noodles don't reheat great, but my leftovers reheated perfectly. The Bahn Mi was good too. The bread was thicker and not quite what I expect in a Bahn Mi....but it was good, and the fillings were fresh and very tasty. Both the Pho and Bahn Mi were exceptionally better than many of the places I've tried in Seattle. Person at the counter who took my order was on point..very friendly and welcoming. I see other reviews commenting on poor service, odd opening hours, etc....but I didn't experience any of that. Just good food that with a bit more effort could be great food. Definitely going to stop by again!

The restaurant had just a few tables yet the food took more than 20 minutes to come out. I ordered lemongrass chicken vermicelli and it was the worst I have ever had. The small portion chicken was greasy and coated in oil as it was served fajita style with peppers and onions . Never had that before with pho and I hope I don't ever again. The rice noodles were slimy and mushy and I barely ate any. There was one tiny sprig of basil. The portion was small. To add insult to injury it cost 23.84. I have eaten authentic delicious Thai food in major cities and have never paid that much. No one ever checked on me after delivering the food. Hard pass.

Unfortunately, I was on a work trip, but I could imagine this being the first stop then walking off the food. It is on the smaller side of restaurants, but the evening I visited, there was a party of 8 seated towards the back. I'd recommend parties of 2-4 max, but they can accommodate more if it's a slower night. The service was good, nothing over the top, but nothing below average. As soon as I entered, I was greeted and sat at one of the high tops. This high top was on the smaller side, but since I was just a party of one, it was reasonable and I another high top right next to me to use as well. The food came out pretty quickly, which was nice and they were easy to reach if I needed anything. Very welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the crab Rangoon, crispy chicken Thai basil, and a Thai Iced coffee. The server recommended the crab Rangoon when I asked her which she would choose between the shrimp rolls, spicy crispy chicken wings, or the crab Rangoon. They were solid, nothing crazy, but good. The crispy chicken Thai basil was decent as well; again nothing over the top, but the right portion with some heart shaped rice to go with it. In my opinion, it could use a little more spice. I went with the medium, but it was definitely not spicy at all, so I requested the spice tray to fix that. The Thai iced coffee was exactly what I would want it to taste like. Yes, I would recommend this place. Keep the party smaller. I'll have to try another dish on my next trip out here.

Top and Jenny Rojanisthien reopened his parents' "The Thai Restaurant", renaming it "Top Thai" in April of 2025. Google Top Thai to learn their backstory. Food quality and flavors are second to none. I had Panang Curry on Wagyu Beef this evening, with a Kirin Ichiban beer. Where can you order a Wagyu steak dinner for $28? I'm an accomplished chef and I don't know how they can afford to serve that quality for that price (see the pics). Panang is the sweetest of the curries--a combination of lemon grass, chilies, coriander, garlic, cumin, and peanut in a coconut cream, elevated with palm sugar, fish sauce, and shrimp paste. My dish was garnished in fresh Thai basil and julienned bell pepper. The Wagyu beef was pull-apart--that's no surprise! But honestly, even without the beef, this was the best Panang curry I've ever had. Look over the menu--there are so many popular South Asian food options. I'm going to try the "Larb" next time. Special thanks to "Piah" my waitress who plated the leftovers to take home to Sherrie. I said to Piah, "You forgot to charge me for the Kirin!" She said, "No, you came during happy hour...you got the 20% discount." WOW - 5 Stars !!!
