I don't care what anyone say, hands down the best chicken wings in Dallas! Not to mention that their fried pickles are awesome! Their wings are so big! My favorite favor is spicy ranch. Lunch time there are really good deals there, I always get the 5 wings with a side item for $5.99. After work, I also like their mexician martinis as well. Went to this Pluckers with a large group of friends because it was where they wanted to go for our meetup. When I called ahead to tell them of our party of 20 the hostess wasn't very pleased. While I understand you can't take reservations, don't be snotty about it on the phone and tell me that I will probably have to wait longer than anyone else. Started the night off wrong. When we got there and a friend had already put our name in for needing a table they then told us of the 75% rule. Basically 15 of our 20 people needed to be there to be seated. We had people coming from as far away as Saginaw and all families so basically everyone had to be there. Okay, again not a huge deal but we seriously could already see our table set up for the night. The gave us the reason that when they seat incomplete parties people tend to move around and it confuses the servers. NONE of us look alike and believe me, we know how to help and guide you where food goes. Onto the meal, the queso we had was good. A bit spicy but still good overall. The boyfriend and I split a 15 piece combo of Spicy Lemon Pepper, Honey BBQ and Dr Pepper Wings. Loved the Spicy Lemon Pepper as a change from my normal and will probably order them in boneless form next time. The other flavors were kinda meh. Service by our two waiters was slow but pretty on par with what I have come to expect at Pluckers overall. I only got asked for a refill on my water one time and that was in the first 10 minutes of sitting down. We were there another hour. read more

Now I am no wing fanatic by any means but do like to find good wings. And let's be honest other places that did good wings seem to be going cheap on this product. Met a friend for lunch and we started with some mozzarella sticks. These things were huge and surprisingly tasty for frozen. We also had the loaded waffle fries which were great but definitely enough for 4 and too much for two. So now that we have gotten a beer down and two apps we are ready for the entree. I ordered the buffalo wings with medium heat. These things were what one expects to see when the get wings. Big plump wings that look so tasty you have to use your hands. I dug right in and have to say they are some pretty tasty wings. We are now on to our second beer and fear that our eyes were to big for our stomach. We take a breather and make a second attempt at the remaining wings. It was an epic fail to finish but now that I know what I am in for i will fast before i return. read more

Whew - this joint looks LOTS better than its last two iterations. We added Pluckers to our list of places to check out during our last outing to Hooters to watch the UFC fights. So we finally made it there night before last. First, can I just say how stoked I am for a clean bathroom?! I know it won't last that way forever, but still. Service was really friendly without being too overwhelming, and there are plenty of TVs to catch the NCAA women's basketball championship game AND watch the Rangers play. We started off with fried pickles. The batter was good, but I'm just not a fan of fried pickle spears - I much prefer the pickle chips. Nevertheless, it was pretty good. I had the buffalo ranch chicken sandwich. You get to choose your sauce and our waiter suggested the spicy ranch. It wasn't too spicy at all, but left a nice tingle on the tongue. The onion rings were good, but I was not a fan of the Thousand Island-ish sauce that came with 'em - SUPER horse radish-y. Pluckers has a service industry program, so I anticipate the big guy busting out the big guns and taking me there for my birthday (there was space to put info for your SO), AND they have a happy hour for teachers on Fridays that includes free appetizers... wonder if I can work that angle!? read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The meat on all of our wings was dry. Almost jerky wings. Our waitress was anything but attentive. The sweet potato and waffle fries were good. It was very expensive for what we got. Almost $100 for our family of 5, and no one ate their wings (well, our little boy did love the Mac & cheese). our waitress didn't even ask us about it, just threw the check on the table and ran off. We will never go back. Wasted money. Will stick to buffalo's or Hooters (& I hate the atmosphere of Hooters). My husband said the frozen wal-mart wings are better than Pluckers. read more

Went to pluckers on November 3rd to enjoy my wife and I's free birthday meals. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We even received a free appetizer and my sons meal free. The restaurant was crowded and there was a bit of a wait but that is to be expected at a popular wing bar on a football Sunday. It was a wonderful experience. The manager called me within a few hours and explained a few things, and apologized. I'm very pleased with his response and I'm happily changing my review to 4 stars because the FOOD was excellent. Came here to watch the NBA finals game with BF. They have tons of tv screens to watch all of the games. Great service, very friendly and easygoing environment. There was also a nice looking patio and it was packed that night. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and also the buffalo medium hot wings. BF got some lemon peppers and also some waffle fries on the side for us to share. The wings are nice and meaty, I had a hard time finishing them and had to take some home! The fries were hot and fresh. If you have a hankering for some serious wings and want to catch the game with your wingman, this is your place. read more

There is really nothing bad I can say about Pluckers! We had friends who used to live in Austin who just raved about their wings, and I was a big fan of another wing place. We started eating at Pluckers with these friends when it opened, and just LOVE it! The atmosphere is great, especially if you want to watch sports....there are TVs everywhere! They have video game controllers to keep the kids entertained, and the food is absolutely amazing! The wings are great, the boneless wings are huge, the macaroni and cheese is homemade and so yummy! Our favorite thing is the Holy Macaroni, which is fried bars of macaroni and cheese! OMG!!! We are card carrying members of the Plucker's Club, which is really a great deal if you eat there fairly often. Since we finished dinner early and still had time to kill before our movie, we wanted a place that had cheap drink prices. To be honest, I needed a beer anyway. My marg at Uncle Julio's was less than stellar and I was still on a high from the staff that acted aloof about our movie issue. B suggested Pluckers and I was very pleased. It was much bigger than I expected on the inside and I can see why people clammer here for games and such! HUGE booths that seat you and all your friends, HUGE TV's for your viewing pleasure and an outside patio area that seems very right for the summer! They had blue moon on tap....that always makes me happy! And although it wasn't happy hour on the Saturday, I could see they did have some pretty amzing drink specials during the week. We only spent $15 bc I opted for a 34oz blue moon and he a standard bud....so I felt that was acceptable. The bar staff was very personable and the girls seemed to love that I was all dressed up and kept complimenting me on my garb:) Flattery gets you EVERYTHING honey! Beer + Wings + Trivial Pursuit = Wednesday at Pluckers. Easy enough even though I hate math. A group of geeky guys I work with went specifically just for the Trivia because we like to compete with each other over who knows the most about things that matter the least (I do). Here is my breakdown: Trivia: A- Awesome. Great mix of all kinds of different questions that were super easy and some that were crazy difficult. One in my group cried because they didn't play "Name that Tune" the first time he ever went, but he is just a baby. One thing I will say...I am 99% sure a lot of people cheat. We had a large group of super intelligent guys and played from start to finish and came in third. However, a group of two outside that missed the first round wins? I have my doubts. Not Pluckers fault but people just suck. Food: C+ I had the burger and waffle fries and they were okay. Nothing to write home about but it was a large juicy patty....too juicy for my taste. Had Chick-Fil-A waffle fries? Then you've had these too; basically the same thing. I tried a number of the wings and my opinion was mixed. The Spicy Ranch Wings tasted like over salted catfish and were pretty dry. The standard BBQ were sweet and messy but exactly what you'd expect. The boneless wings are just season chicken strips, they were HUGE! I would suggest getting a good understanding of each of the wings before ordering. Beer was super cold; fresh and they kept flowing. Service: D- My server was a Oakland fan and it was the day after they beat the Rangers and he was a cocky ass about it. I understand a little ribbing but actually talking smack to the people you are serving and being rude about it is just unprofessional. Not only that he bragged about how well he knew the menu and even ridiculed the choices some made by our group. This isn't that big of a deal if that connect was established but he was just shot out of a cannon and honestly pissed us off. I think he got the idea and settled that down and was a good server after the initial jackassery. If we weren't there for the trivia, the chances of us walking out 5 minutes after we got there was high. Atmosphere: A The place is new, clean, large, and exactly what you'd expect out of a sports bar. TVs were plastered all over the walls and they all had different programs on to please anyone, especially sports fans. Memorabilia is the main decoration throughout the building and once again, exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar like this. Overall: I will go back and the things that were negative about my first trip could easily be corrected with a different server and understanding the menu a bit better. The prices were more than fair and the portions were large. I would suggest Pluckers for watching the game and having some beers. So-so is my initial opinion with the potential to be much better. read more

We like football, we like wings, we like date night. So yeah, this place fits the bill. I'd suggest ordering the regular, bone-in wings over boneless, however. I'm usually a boneless kinda gal but I've been disappointed with their boneless wings more than once (lesson learned). The seasonings/rubs/sauces here are ~amazing~ Lovelovelove. I recommend lemon pepper and spicy-garlic-parmesean. Waffle fries are amazing too. Oh! and pink lemonade. Yum. Plenty of TVs all over the place to watch the game.....whatever game that may be for you (several different sports playing all over the place). Though the Arlington locations service is absolutely awful this location is great. Not as many tv's it seems like but still a great place to watch a game. Love the buffalo hot and lemon pepper. Every wing place has their super hot wings. Theirs is "Fire in the Hole" it's actually pretty flavorful instead of just heat. They're pretty accommodating to groups as well. We did our fantasy draft there this year. If you're in between this location and Arlington I'd definitely choose this one even if it's a 5-8 min drive longer...it's worth it. read more

I am pretty shocked to see that Pluckers has 3.5 stars! I have been here multiple times and have had nothing short of a 4 star experience. Pluckers is a great place to go to on game days. They have plenty of TVs so no matter where you're sitting, you'll get a good angle at the TV. They even have TVs in the bathroom mirror just in case you need to empty your tank when the game is on the line. Pluckers isn't only for game days though. I actually go to Pluckers more often for lunch than I do for an occasion. They have quality food! As far as appetizers go, I've only had the fried pickles, but they are delicious! Even when I'm the only one in the group that likes fried pickles, I order them and eat them all by myself. The wings are also really good. They have both boneless and bone-in wings. The boneless wings are HUGE! They're large chicken tender sized pieces of chicken so odds are you won't be needing more than 3. As for the wing flavors, they provide a good combination of classic and unique flavors. My personal favorites are the spicy ranch, the goldrush, and the baker's gold. Some of them are too spicy for me to handle, but I get them anyways because they're delicious! Overall, I've had great experiences at Pluckers whether I order for pick up or dine in. read more

I'm pretty happy Plucker's opened up shop in Grapevine. Living in Austin for a bit as a youngin, I grew to love Plucker's. We have frequented Plucker's since it has opened and I can say not much has changed. This is a sports watching mecca. I tried counting the TV's on the wall one night, but lost count; they are EVERYWHERE. I love the wings and the ability to mix and match different flavors. I've had a few good servers who have been happy to make recommendations and let you actually try the mash before you order it. The misses loves the mac n cheese, but I pretty much stick to the wings and waffle fries. I was a bit turned off by the sales pitch to join their club on my first few trips to Plucker's, but it seems that they have laid off and aren't pressuring you any more. The deal sounds decent, but I'm just not into signing up for stuff, and even less so when you have to pay for it. I enjoy grabbing a few beers and knocking back wings, and Plucker's is the best spot in Grapevine to do so. read more

Pluckers, located at 1709 Cross Roads Grapevine, TX 76051 has been a place we have enjoyed several times. I cannot say that about my experience today. I usually try to keep my reviews positive. I like to put that positive vibe out there. After all as a Realtor and former service industry employee, I understand that relationships are invaulable. I also understand that working with the public can be challenging. It requires problem solving and I've learned if you are clear and nice about your situation, most people will bend over backwards to help you. That was not the case today at Pluckers in Grapevine. We arrived at 1:15. One host was on the phone, the other promptly came up and let us know that for our party of four there would be a 15 minute wait because they were in the process of closing sections. I looked around the lobby and noticed that there were people waiting, but the restaurant was NOWHERE near full. I was pretty upset (I was hangry). I looked at the young lady and pointed out all the open tables. She let me know they were no longer seating those. What? It's lunch time. There were literally servers standing around. My wife calmed me down and we started to wait. I decided to see if the bar was open. I was told the bar top was available but the tables were not There was one table in the bar. By now I had seen a few people slowly bussing some dirty tables. I asked to see the manager. He came over and I prefaced by stating I was a food service industry worker and I couldn't understand why NONE of the empty tables were being made available to us. He informed me he busy working on getting some tables cleaned so we could have great service. I asked about the bar and pointed out the one table that was seated. He let me know, again, that his servers were very busy and he wanted us to have great service. He stacked four menus on the host station and walked off. He was not polite and clearly did not care what I thought. Shortly thereafter we were seated at one of the previously empty tables, not one of the ones they were working on cleaning, you know the ones they were cleaning to ensure "great service." The host, whose pants were literally sagging so low that he had take wide steps to prevent them from falling down, literally tossed the menus on the table and walked off. Okay, maybe he was uncomfortable because he knew I was upset. Several servers walked by our freshly sat table. No one greeted us. After several minutes our server arrived. Our app for the Pluckers club didn't work (old system was WAY better). I waited over five minutes for my beer and when they brought it it was no longer cold and it was obvious it had sat for a while. Service was underwhelming, especially since this build up of "great service." Food was okay. Order came without ranch and we sat without it for a while. No checkback. I had to get the servers attention to get the ranch. First food checkback came when our meals were almost done and I was completely out of both beer and Dr. Pepper. So sad. Add this to the fact that we ordered fries and waited but by the time were done, they still hadn't arrived. It'll be hard to get me back in there. read more

I'll give the things I didn't like right up front: 1. The service was slow and slightly on the sloppy side. My order was incomplete twice. 2. The booths were very uncomfortable 3. The fried pickles appetizer was 5 whole deep fried spears [wut??] instead of a basket of fried pickle slices. Also, why on Earth would you have an odd-numbered appetizer? 4. About $2 more expensive per entree than other places with comparible food/services. These were all things that were enough to make me want to leave... However... When I got my hamburger and took a bite of it my eyes glazed over as if I had just been injected with Morphine and I drifted into a state of uphoria. Between the sweet-bread bun and the perfectly crisped/medium-well burger patty and the buffalo sauce tossed fries I forgot all about the mediocre service and annoying loud Thursday Night Football crowd. Oh, and the wings were pretty damn good too. So, in the end, the food was freakin' great but I have to give 3 stars because of the mediocre service and price. I'm not going to lie - I will be back there again to inhale another sweet-bun burger. Oh, one other thing, I've never seen a place with as many TVs as Pluckers in Grapevine. So, this was my first trip to Pluckers and I had a mixed experience. First the good- the food was great! We had the fried pickles and the Holy Macaroni to start. Yum and Yum! The pickles were awesome! I had never had a fried pickle spear before, but I thought it was 100 times better than the fried pickle chip. The holy macaroni was good, but a little rich for me. I would get it again, but there is no way I could eat more than one piece. We also got the boneless wings and loved them! I would strongly recommend the Bakers Gold. So good! Now for the bad- the service was awful!! When we walked in the hostess just stared at me. I know it was only 10-15 seconds but it felt like forever. She finally asked how many, but never a hello. I normally wouldn't mention the hostess, but it was just so awkward. Then came our server. She did not want to be there. I honestly don't know if I have ever had a server who seemed more beat down. Bless her heart. I know we all have bad days, but this was just sad. Our food came quick and our drinks were never empty, so it wasn't bad service, but it also wasn't very welcoming.
