But due to lots of rain things kept getting pushed back. Bobby was great. There were a few miscommunications on the initial sell and quote but those were handled well. They started almost a month earlier than we had thought so that was great. Craig was probably the best part of the build. He was as attentive as possible with all of his other builds and obligations. He would pretty much bend over backwards to fix any issues we had. He dealt with my crazy with grace and I appreciated that! The manager of the company is another story. My one experience with him wasn't great. He's not easy to work with, very stubborn, and doesn't like to hear issues related to the build that we have had. Very argumentative. He seems to be money driven, not customer satisfaction driven. I get owning a company is hard with all that's involved but a little finesse and kindness goes a very long way with me. I wanted a small sum of money discounted on our coping because the installers messed it up permanently but he refused and wanted to try to fix the issue. It couldn't be fixed which I knew it couldn't be. But we still paid full price because it wasn't worth the hassle. We wanted a waterfall/cave/slide combo built and Rob from Rock-N-Waterfalls was the best! His crew that built our structure were the most awesome group of guys. So attentive to what we wanted. Super nice and personable. And they did the most beautiful job on the whole structure. The demo crew, plumbers, and mastic crew, were great. We did have some issues with the pebble crew. The pebble tec was becoming stained about a week after the pool was filled. But Craig organized another acid wash to fix the problem and it's been great since. I was extremely impressed with most of the crews clean ups after each job. The only 2 who left big messes for us to clean up was the pebble crew and the concrete crew. They do need to work on not causing a mess for us. We have permanent blue staining on our retaining wall from the pebble. And blue stains blasted on the fence and some of my garden decor. There was some damage to our front yard from the dig tractor. Even though it was stated in the contract that Taylor made won't fix what they broke they still made it right and fixed it. So I was very appreciative of that. Construction on your home isn't for the faint of heart and I realize things will go wrong but everything was handled well. Now to the negative (which isn't directed at Taylor made) The concrete company they use is a joke. Thats where we had the most trouble. The only thing we are unhappy about with our pool is our decking and coping. The concrete looks terrible and was a very rushed job. Not finished well in many areas, very rough jagged raised spots. His company left hundreds of broom fibers in our concrete coping after the brush finish that left behind lots of permanent indentation marks. The owner of the concrete company, Alex, was difficult. He argued with me about the issue and was pretty unprofessional. A pipe was burst under the newly poured concrete. Which nobody turned the water on before pouring to make sure there wasn't a problem. (So if you get a pool personally turn your water on to be sure it's working right before concrete) So our brand new concrete was ripped out. They came out and replaced it but the replacement concrete looks like a toddler did it. So in my opinion they very much need to contract with a new company for the concrete work. We've been left with no doubt how to work the equipment and how to take care of our pool. We were given loads of advice and knowledge. It is a lot and intimidating but we're learning. We did ask for several upgrades and they were seamlessly added in to the project. So All in all we are very satisfied with our pool. It turned out absolutely beautiful and my kids and I couldn't be more happy with the pool. It was a lot of stress but I have no regrets. Knowing everything I know now I still would use Taylor made again if we ever needed another pool. Craig made the whole situation worth the stress and easier to handle.

When I asked to refund, he refused and said he invested in parts and labor. This sounds ridiculous, your responsibility is to identify the problem, advise your client and fix the issue. If you can't find the real problem, that's the problem of you not your client. I comprised and told him it's ok if i can't get refund, but I do need him to come back to fix the issue since I already spend money. He said yes but never showed up! Worst experience ever. In the end, we didn't move forward with Joseph because my aunt decided to go with someone who came highly recommended through a personal referral. That decision wasn't a reflection of Joseph's work. A new heater would cost a few thousand dollars and most repairman say that the parts have been discontinued for this old heater. I was contacted by Joel and he assured me that he can use his resources to find the parts needed to fixed my old unit and have it done at the fraction of the price of a new heater. Late review: signed contract in December 2020/Pool completed in late May 2021…read more We had half a dozen consults before choosing this company and we pretty much knew what kind of experience it was going to be a couple weeks in. No communication, I had to constantly reach out to ask what was going on. It all started with them beginning nearly two weeks later than stated on our contract and then when the excavators call me outside because they are confused between the plans and the design, I knew it would be downhill from there. Their designer Kyle, admitted to not drawing our yard to scale which made the pool in the design look a lot bigger than what we were actually getting. This part was the biggest disappointment as we BOUGHT the design he presented us with. Kyle graciously gave us an "extra two feet" but, who knows how accurate that even is, it's hard to tell since we chose a free form design. During the entire process, I was cleaning up trash from our backyard daily. Their workers' personal trash such as drinks, bottles, fast food items, cigarette butts and packs, rusted screws/nails, metal wires, saw blades, it was terrible. Also no matter how many times we asked the pool company, their workers filled our trash cans week after week with work material such as rocks, shotcrete, rebar, PVC piping, bags, boxes etc. sometimes rendering it useless for us. The communication was severely lacking, I would always have to reach out and ask what was going on as we were in the dark for most of the process. Contractors would no-show or even show up unannounced at ungodly hours of the morning (6-6:30 AM) making the most noise possible and blasting their radio. Even asking to get a heads up when workers came by so I was aware of who was in our yard and for what or so I wouldn't be blocked in our garage, was too hard of a task for them to manage. On our contract, we were quoted 10-12 week process, we are now at 18 weeks with repairs that still need to be done. Another reason why we chose them is for the verbal promise from Kyle that it would be done by a certain date which they since far surpassed. They messed up the depth of our Baja shelf, we were told the pool should be 7 feet with our jumping rock/grotto, but was only made 6 feet, the spillway from our spa has been butchered a few times and now needs to be replaced, and worse of all 90% of our coping cracked within the first month, but according to the owner (Doug Patterson) we signed in our contract that we understood that concrete cracks, yet there is nothing stated in said contract. This has been a miserable and high stress induced experience, completely frustrating week after week of no communication and lack of respect for the customer. The final kicker is that they started a month prior to even getting approved permits through the city which we didn't find out until the very end! The owner only seemed to want to deal with my husband and avoided me like the plague whenever he came around to check on things. Only time I personally heard from him was when he called to ask me to take down an FB post off a home improvement site when I asked for advice in regards to fixing a couple things. My most favorite part by far was the owner, Doug accusing us of withholding the final $22k payment (via Lyon Finnancial) for a couple "punch-list items" when it's stated in our loan contract that the final payment was for completion of project and we were not notified by anyone that the pool was 100% complete. The designer, Kyle asked for payment for plaster which was not a breakdown in the loan payment schedule. My husband called Lyon and they agreed to do a partial payment and then Kyle told us it's fine, that Doug said it would be easier to do the final payment at the end and then had the nerve to come at us with the "withholding payment" BS. They apparently have a huge lack of communication within their company as well. We also failed our final inspection THREE times. At the third time, we were asked if we would just like to be passed so we could be over and done with. In conclusion, I wish we had researched more, been better prepared, looked into more companies, etc because this definitely wasn't the one for us. It's so sad that we waited and saved up for 5 years of having no backyard and spent way too much money for this kind of treatment and outcome. For almost $90k we expect damn near perfection, but they definitely fell (extremely) short in so many aspects. Current update: Our turf has melted in one area behind our pool, that issue was never resolved even after reaching out a couple times and being assured we would hear back and now our spa coping is crumbling apart after a few short years and we have to pay thousands out of pocket to get this fixed.

From the 3D design, demo, dig, concrete, and fill we always felt like we were part of the team. We have a small backyard and side yard which in which we have a camper. Our goal was to fit the camper while still having a pool big enough for our family to enjoy. The final product looks identical to the design.
