Bruce was incredibly helpful! So lovely to work with him. He came out to see if there was a leak somewhere in the house's plumbing system. The SPU water bill was astronomically high so we wanted to see if there was a sneaky leak. Turns out that SPU read the enter wrong. They read a number that was mathematically impossible to on in a meter. Meters don't count backwards nor do they reset. So when we popped open the manhole cover to the meter we saw that it was reading a number LOWER than the bill. A mathematical impossibility. So we were reassured and didn't have to fix anything. Bruce went into great detail to explain how meters work and some of SPU's processes. Very helpful! My friend's nail salon had an emergency - the water was draining back into the pedicure chairs, toilet, sink, and an old closed off pipe. I called Bruce and he sent over Kevin within 2 hours, same morning. Kevin was a professional, gave all good recommendations and completed the work my friend chose - was not pushy and gave clear pros/cons to all options. She leases the space so does not want to invest in the larger project but Kevin was able to fix all leaks and assess the water heater within 2.5 hours. I cannot recommend Bruce highly enough! I just moved into a new house and had Bruce come out to check on a couple issues that were worrying me. Though they weren't emergency issues, he got me on the schedule quickly, arrived exactly on time for the appointment, and blew me away with his customer service. One of the issues, with a toilet, was quickly fixed in a matter of minutes. The other issue ended up being fine, but he ran my dishwasher a few times to make sure and then gave me some advice on what I could do on my own to save money. When it was all said and done, he refused to let me pay him for his time, saying nothing had really needed fixing. When I insisted, knowing his time is valuable, he still refused! I can't say enough good things about Bruce at Plumb Pros. We had a kitchen sink clog around noon Friday, and I chose not to call my usual plumber, because he takes phone messages and then follows up late in the evening, or several days later, and then is scheduled out a week or two beyond that. I figured I would go with a quick rooter service, but plumb pros appeared in my search, and I read a couple reviews that were very positive. I called, and the owner answered immediately, and said he could be out in a half hour. He arrived and completed the job in a short time, and helped us figure out how to prevent that issue from happening again. He charged us exactly what he quoted us, even though he stayed a little longer than the one hour agreed upon. We agreed to have him do a relatively easy pipe replacement project as well to fix the problem, and he arrived promptly for that as well, but discovered that the original job on that pipe was sloppy, and we just needed to fix the hangers that hold the pipe in place to change the angle so the pipe drains properly. He completed that job, and refused to take payment at all for that, because he wouldn't feel right about it. Saved us a bunch of money. I felt he was super honest and trustworthy. I am so happy we called Bruce. I was told by another plumber and my utility that the water main from my meter to the house was leaking due to the freeze...I was looking at $11-15k in repairs. Bruce at Plumb Pros is our hero! On a Friday, our side sewer backed up and was sending sludge into our basement. We called Rapid Rooter who was not able to come out until Saturday morning. RR looked at the job and told us it was not possible to clean it out - that we would have to hire a company to install a sewer line clean out on the outside of the house - then they would come back and clear the blockage. This was incredibly upsetting because we could not use toilets or water in the house. We started calling other plumbers and were referred to Plumb Pros by another plumber. Bruce came out that afternoon and quickly diagnosed the problem. He tried three different methods to clear it and didn't give up until it was fully cleared. After gathering 3 bids to replace my water main, picked this company because price was in line with others and I liked their approach to my issue. Once I was ready to proceed I at first got an affirmative response, but then got none at all after email and voice message follow-ups. So IMO just another contractor who loves to say yes but hates to say no, instead just flakes and becomes unresponsive when they change their mind. Unfortunately typical, and frustrating. Extra star though for frustrating me enough to look closer at DIY, which I was able to do completely to code using same tools used by pro plumbers which I rented locally (pipe locator, boring device). Saved myself over $6,500 with only a couple days worth of my time. And it turned out part of that approach they impressed me with was disruptive and unnecessary. read more

Plumb Pro's were the fifth plumbers we called, but they were the first to actually answer the phone and speak to us. After not getting and answer or call back from four other plumbers, it was nice to have someone offer to get out to our house as soon as possible to check out our problem. Bruce was very polite and professional. He immediately got to work after I showed him around, and proceeded to remove an 8 foot tree root from our sewage pipe. Not knowing what was the cause of our backup, we were worried it could be something even more drastic than the "Root of the Year' that Bruce removed for us, which he joked about having to use an old trick he hadn't used in 12 years time to remove the whole thing. He went on to, at a discount, scope the rest of our sewer pipe with the snake camera to investigate if anything else was going on. He assuaged our fears about further damage and gave us a timeframe for future maintenance. All of this came for a very reasonable price, and he was at our door within a half hour of our call. Bruce came to our house recently and we wish we could give him 7 stars...+ 1 star for being the best plumber we've ever met and +1 star for not charging us for what he described as a courtesy call (shows you what I know about plumbing!). When reading reviews before we called him, they almost sounded too good to be true but all were 110% accurate. No joke. As others have said, he is reliable, responsive, HONEST, affordable, and has an unusual calming presence. I can't say that I've ever actually used Plumb Pros for any work, but I'd still recommend them to anyone. My neighbor informed me over the weekend that a section of sewer pipe that served both of our homes was damaged and flooding his house. He called two other plumbing outfits to get estimates on the cost to repair the pipe (which we'd have to share) and got two estimates at about $10K. He had Bruce with Plumb Pros come out today and an hour later, after sending a camera down the pipe, Bruce found that there were no problems with the shared pipe and that it wouldn't require any work at all. If that's not the definition of stand-up, ethical practice (and a demonstration of how important it is to find a trustworthy service professional), I don't know what is. We recently discovered our water main under the house was leaking badly and found Plumb Pros here on Yelp after first making the mistake of calling another plumbing outfit, one of those companies who advertises heavily with catchy jingles and mailer coupons. A guy from that first called plumbing company came out same day, was nice enough, and seemed to know what he was talking about but when it came time to give the rate quote he took quite awhile writing down numbers and mumbling to himself, then eventually after finishing what seemed like a very complicated math formula he came up with a price for what he described as a bare minimum emergency fix, a price that seemed well beyond even my worst case imagined scenario...he then proceeded to show me a quote for a much bigger job which he strongly recommended as a longer term solution, to change out the existing water service from the main meter to the house...though admitting there was no evidence of any problem with that, yet...we desperately needed a fix to the running water under the house so we tried putting the amount for the basic quote on 3 different cards but came up short on credit for this charge. We decided we couldn't get it done at that time and he agreed to come back when we had the funds together...not a good feeling for us. That was the good news....as it forced me to do a little more searching after discovering the numerous positive reviews here for Bruce and company, emphasizing his fairness, honesty, workmanship, and competitive rates, I gave him a call. He answered his phone immediately, even though he was on a job under someone else's house as he described. After discussing our dilemma he assured me that no matter what the issue was his price would be well under the first company's rate, which he described as an outrageous attempt to gouge a typically naive customer. I immediately felt a huge sense of relief just hearing that. Bruce called me back shortly as promised to schedule a next day service, something that was much appreciated going into a holiday weekend. He arrived on time the following day, and quickly assessed the situation. The diagnosis was not much different than the previous plumber's but his solution was so much simpler and cost effective...at about 1/7th the cost! And the way he explained the cause of the issue I have good reason to believe this solution will hold up just fine. Called these guys based on the amazing Yelp reviews on a Saturday morning for a backed up kitchen sink. Had a simple conversation, he said he'd be out between 3-5pm. Awesome! Went on with my day. Received a voice message that was left at 1230pm that he was not going to be able to come because he was up at a job that was going to take all day and that we could figure something out for Sunday morning. I text saying I understand, things come up, and asking what time worked for him Sunday. Nothing. Sunday morning, try again, no response. The reason this irks me is if he'd been upfront that there was even a chance he couldn't come out on Saturday morning when I first called I'd have moved on and called other outfits. By waiting so many hours by the time he let me know every other plumber open on Saturday was completely full. Then he left me in the lurch on Sunday too. It's Monday and my sink is still stopped up with people coming tomorrow. Needless to say it's been inconvenient. Just a bummer. I am glad others have had such great luck with them but wanted to share this not-so-rosy story. read more

I found Bruce, from Plumb Pros, to be as professional as they get. We had a blockage in our main drain that had been caused by another plumbing company dropping a piece of debris (a chunk of PVC pipe) into our drain during an earlier repair. Bruce quickly assessed the situation and made a recording (DVD) of the lodged PVC debris with his camera, so we'd have evidence to present to the other company for reimbursement of the repair. He then quickly solved the problem by dislodging the debris at a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the service.
