I will say, they were very fast to provide an estimate, get us on their install schedule and take our money, but things took a turn for the worse during the installation. We were replacing two traditional water heaters with one tankless and everything should have been smooth flowing, but the two install techs screwed up and broke some water pipes which in turn flooded our power bath and hallway with a few inches of water which sat for a few hours. The two techs were very apologetic and told my wife that their actions caused the flood but their boss, Jake, told us a different story. He claimed that it had been an existing slow leak that they 'found' but the funny thing is our wood floors weren't buckling, there was no mold or any other tell-tale signs of an existing leak. When the flood remediation company showed up to start clean up JMP's mess, they confirmed this flooding was fresh and caused by the installation. Fast forward to today and we are now trying to engage with the owner of JMP Plumbing, Jillian, but she refuses to answer our calls or even return text messages, basically ghosting us because she knows they are at a fault. We are out of pocket an additional $3,000 for the flood damage but JMP got their money, so they are more than happy to ignore us. The moral of this story is BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Jillian and JMP Plumbing as a whole.

They mentioned we were threatening....funny how telling a side of a story where a non profit isn't helped and is told to "deal with it" is "threatening" to them. We never once said anything about legal action, we were hoping the owner would help and stand behind her 2 plumbers' work. We went over and looked at it and unfortunately it didn't look like something simple, so we needed a plumber. Our neighborhood plumber was booked a week out, and so were the two others he recommended, so it was off to Yelp to look for one... found a five star plumber, asked Yelp, Yelp offered to send info to multiple plumbers, and Ray was one of the ones that responded. I was a little nervous about hiring a guy with only one review on Yelp, but he had good reviews on Google, Angie's List and other places so I decided to give him a shot... being available to come out the next day was definitely a big plus. I was a little nervous when he came out in an SUV with a magnet on the side instead of a fancy painted truck but he definitely knew what he was doing. Unfortunately we had to replace an entire shower valve ($$$) instead of just a cartridge ($), but he did a great job and put an access panel in the wall instead of just leaving a giant hole in the sheet rock like I was expecting, so that was a nice plus. Other pluses: entirely paperless, Ray showed me a complete estimate before he got started (which ended up being the final bill), and was willing to explain things. His pricing for the shower valve replacement I thought was pretty reasonable. Minuses: when diagnosing the leak he noticed one of the toilets was leaking (into the bowl) so I asked him to fix that... the charge for that was I though was pretty high since he was here for something else as well, I've replaced toilet innards and it's pretty simple with cheap parts. But he did have the price on the estimate so I can't really complain. Overall, I definitely would recommend him and will call him again for other issues... hopefully not any time soon though :)

Shower cartridge (located behind the shower handle) was bad so I called them to come out and they…read moresaid there was a service call charge of $67.50 which would not be charged if they did any work. So they sent a guy out and they charged a whopping $272 plus tax just to replace a simple plastic shower cartridge that probably took about 15 minutes to replace. They also replaced a cheap small plastic handle that I did not ask them to replace. Charges breakdown: $125.00 - Labor $80.00 - Parts (for a plastic cartridge that cost $31 at Home Depot) $67.50 - Other charges (added in the service call charge). So I was not supposed to be charged the service call charge; however they added it in & when paid them by credit card I had not seen the breakdown yet. Made numerous phone calls and kept getting promises that they would reimburse me for the service call charge but they kept stringing me along and wouldn't send it. Guess they got tired of me calling and did eventually send it but it cost me a lot of time and frustration. To top it off, about six months later the cartridge they installed went bad and had to hire another plumber to come out and replace the one Enco had installed. She pulled someone off a job to come make sure I had access to water since all my water was off. Johnny came within the hour and got hot water heater turned off, but left regular water on. The very next morning, Johnny was back installing a new water heater. This is the kind of service you can only get from a family run business. I'll never call the big commercial guys again.
