We've been using The Plumbing Boys for years due to our severe issues with Ficus roots coming from our neighbor across the alley. This time however we just wanted a maintenance call and the re-growth was not at severe as we expected from the hydro-jet a year ago so instead of packing up quickly and leaving, Anthony the technician went and searched for the possible source and not only removed it but proceeded to hydro jet the sewer line that's connected to our house. Now that the source has been identified and removed, here's hoping to a longer time between service calls that's been plaguing us for 21 years. Wow! What an incredible company. Tony is a hands on owner who got a tech to come out in less than 2 hours. Once on site, Anthony is an absolute Beast. He made sure the line from the house to the street was completely cleared. Even coming out a second day to ensure branches entrenched in clay pipe was throughly removed. We were from taking foot baths in our guest bathroom to my daughter taking 5 minute proper showers with complete clearing of the drain. Well done. During the descaling process I asked if he could take a look at one of our sinks that was draining slow despite our attempts to fix it ourselves. We had issues with roots in our pipes, and old pipe that needed to be replaced. Tony, Travis and the crew were so fantastic to work with. They came out straight away, gave us a very fair deal, and checked in with us afterwards. It was a big job, much more work than anyone anticipated, and we had to replace more pipe than we initially thought, but we felt looked after and Tony followed up with us days later to check how everything was going. When an unrelated issue cropped up this morning, Tony sent his technician Anthony out right away. We've been calling in the Plumbing Boys for years and it's about time I sit and write these guys a review, especially after some major pipe replacement work they completed at the house and they did a fantastic job. First, to start with the team - Tony and any of the technicians who stop by the house to either work out a clog, fix a leaking pipe or in the most recent job, replace some old bad pipes (old Burbank home with the original pipes - fun!), are always so consistently nice. They always take the time to explain what they are doing, they are super efficient, and their communication is spot on (i.e. they call with ample time to let you know when they'll be at the house, they check in a couple of days later to make sure everything is still working properly) - just super responsive and reliable. Next, the price is always right. For the major pipe replacement work they did, they gave us a really fair cost estimate compared to three other plumbing companies that we called. Even throughout the work, they found some additional steps they didn't account for that took the team a little longer than expected to take care of, and Tony didn't charge us extra for it. Lastly, they get the job done. There isn't a problem the Plumbing Boys can't fix. Any time there's something that seems to be out of reach, they don't give up and call another plumber and reschedule or tell you it's going to cost extra. Every plumber at Plumbing Boys knows what they're doing and I get the impression they like to solve every problem you called them in for. Really great team of plumbers! Somehow I guess I overlooked writing my original review for Plumbing Boys. The first time I called them was last year when we had an emergency repair to our pool gas line (gas company found a leak and turned off gas to home). Rick came out and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me a couple options and made the repair speedily so we could have the gas company come back out and turn the gas back on. Fast forward to yesterday when I had them come back out for a broken sprinkler brass valve and pvc line. (We had a gardener/landscaper look at it however they declined to attempt since it was in a tricky spot next to the home.) Rick and Videl from Plumbing Boys arrived, quickly assessed the situation and offered repair options and cost. They finished quickly and left the area clean and professional.
