I just moved around the area and a friend of mine had mentioned of a place in El Monte. I wasn't quite sure so I did my research on yelp, and turns out this was the place she went to a few years ago. I was due for Botox as it's been awhile since I've gotten one. My forehead and brow lines had been bothering me and I finally went to see Dr. Reza. The receptionists were friendly and I didn't have to wait long. 10-12 minutes. The Dr. is extremely knowledgeable and honest about the product. Even showed me the bottle to assure me they're using sealed and new bottles. He assessed my forehead and suggested me to do 50 units. It's more than I've ever done, but I also haven't gone in awhile. I was not surprised and ok with it. Now onto the procedure... he was quick, had a light hand and had a very interesting technique to which I was worried at first. He massages and puts pressure after applying the injection! I've always been told NOT to touch/massage it. I asked him nicely out of curiosity and concern and he assured me that he is confident in his work. I trust him and told me to come back in 2 weeks for touch up, no charge. I went home and was impressed how there was no soreness or protrusion on my forehead at all! It felt like I didn't even get Botox. I went to sleep and woke up with the Botox IMMEDIATELY working. I was IMPRESSED! Botox takes about two weeks to settle and truly see results. I could not believe how bright and clean my forehead looks after ONE day. Called in to ask questions for botox pricing: $8 a unit which is great compared to 3 other med spas I've been to. They were able to fit me in the same week @6 pm which is awesome for those who work until 5pm. I got a lip flip 16 units total. The Dr. numbed me but didn't wait until it kicked in to begin injection therefore it was a little painful and as expected you do bleed a drop or two from each injection site. I had to ask for an ice pack- they were able to provide an ice ball wrapped in a glove. My lips swelled for about 30min-1hr and i saw results in about 3 days. This is the most units I've gotten for a lip flip and after a quick look at my lips/smile and discussion of what id like my smile to look like he got it just right! He suggested for optimal long term results i should consider filler but i already have 1 syringe and i like a lip flip for a little extra oomph since my top lip gets quite small when i talk. This lip flip made my top lip appear even bigger than my bottom lip but I'm very particular with my face so take that possibility of unevenness as you will. I'll definitely be returning in about 3-4 months for another session. read more
