But as the days go by on the first week the lashes are more noticeable even if they're natural. I found this place through Groupon, and I am so glad I did! Eyelash extensions usually run upwards of $150/$100 fill, but I am able to get the lashes I want for $69/$39 Fill at Beauty Culture. A single process takes about an hour and a half, and the technician does a wonderful job! My lashes last for 3 weeks and onward! I used to wear false lashes constantly, and would always struggle with them on a daily basis. Now my makeup time has been cut, and I wake up and going to bed feeling absolutely glamorous! Definitely worth the money for the amount of confidence these babies give you! The lady who answered the phone said yes so I went ahead and made an appointment. Upon arriving there they don't seem to know what that gift card is. Olivia the receptionist made me call the card to check the amount on it then went ahead and asked the manager who said they won't accept it anymore and they did last year. What a waste of time, I called to ask over the phone and they said yes. If they said no then I wouldn't have made that appointment. The place is very clean and relaxing. The facial was amazing. The 3 stars was mainly due to the pushy up sells. When you check in they make you take a seat so that the sales lady could tell you all the flaws about your skin and say for an extra $20, they could add a serum during the facial to treat those flaws. Supposedly the serums are normally $140 but will give me a special price. Sure . ... The facial was amazing. Alice was my aesthetician. She was gentle to my pores during extractions and gave an amazing face, neck, shoulder and head massage. I knocked out and felt refreshed when the facial was done. When the facial was done, I was not able to leave immediately. The same sales lady tried to upsell me again!!!! She made me take a seat behind the lobby so that she could sell me on packages. I keep saying no not now because I needed to see how my skin reacts to their product. She insisted I leave a deposit so that I could hold the promotional pricing that was offered and won't be available next time. After several times of saying "no" she finally left me only. Yes, I think the facials here are great but I'm not a fan of a place that does a lot of sales pitch. read more

On my quest to find a good facialist in the sgv area i decided to try Beauty Culture because its close to my house and it was open on a Sunday. When you walk in there is a very pushy sales girl that greets you and is already trying to sell you a package. Why would i want a package from a place I haven't tried yet?!! The actual facial was not great, it seemed great while it was happening, she seemed like she was working hard, i wondered why it didn't hurt, but when i came home I saw very obvious white heads that should have been easily taken out. It didn't seem to me like she was doing the extractions properly. I have a feeling she left them on purpose so that i would have to come back every week. I wish i would've looked at my face closer to see that she didn't do a great job, i wouldn't have paid for it. They have a high "first time rate" of $68. I thought id try anyways as i really needed a good facial. Their prices are outrageous for the service that they give. They are hell bent on making you think you are getting a good deal from $120 !! Sales girl made me sit there after my facial for at least 30 mins, asked me at least 10 TIMES if i wanted to buy a package. Needless to say I didn't. Their facial service is very comparable to many others in the sgv but charge a way higher price. (Average price in sgv $40-50) I would go somewhere else if I were you. read more

Very clean and modern. Was way more than I was expecting! They were very acommodating of my last minute appointment request. They even called back a day before to remind me, I love that, I tend to forget so I really appreciate the call backs. Sure, they are all Chinese and they speak very little English, however, it is to be noted that they have wonderful staff, especially Zoe, the receptionist/sales person. She is a lovely and sweet person. I had Alice giving me a facial and her English was not good at all, but Zoe was on hand to help out with the translation. Sure it is a hard sell and not something that we are used to in American style spas, you are there after all to relax not to be sold... I did however, buy into their package ONLY because I loved the work that Alice did and her facial was really top knotch! She had recommended for me to get the lash length up to 11 since it was my first time and because I wanted them to look as natural as possible.You also get to choose the style of lashes you would like. I chose the sexy cat eye lash which is short in the beginning where your tear duck is and gradually gets longer toward the end.
