I totally forgot to take a picture but my food was delicious! I had the hot Piri Piri chicken and it was very moist, the char on it was good and the flavor was delicious. My side was fries with the Piri Piri spice added to it and they were cooked very well and had a crisp to them which is perfect! My husband and boys ordered the burger and they said it was alright but in my opinion, we went there to try the Piri Piri chicken so I wouldn't expect the burger to be the best burger ever. The restaurant was empty and my food took awhile to come out but the guy working let me know ahead of time it will be a little longer. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the drink selection was very limited. I really wish I would have taken a picture but I was so hungry I forgot. Do I have to give a star? We were craving chicken periperi but Nandos seemed much yo far. We came here with high hopes but were ignored at the counter. No greeting, no recognition. The menus at the counter were covered with grease and grime so we craned our heads back to make out the screens up above. There was no need- the girl behind the counter raised her head to look at us a couple times but never made meaningful eye contact, no smile, nothing at all to acknowledge our presence. Some if the workers came from the back past us and sat at the corner table. After about 10inutes if this awkwardness, we turned around and left. In addition, their relatively cheaper options attracted customers, even during their soft opening. However, this is a really a circumstance in which you won't get what you didn't pay for. The service here is ill-experienced at best, with most tables eerily sticky, missing specific utensils and napkins, and generally cramped for space. The staff here were aware and mildly unapologetic for unavailable items, but when it came to concerns of wait time, (Over 1 Hour for their platter option) their staff simply said that's the case and brushed it aside. Later, some side items were given in apology, but the situation occurred nonetheless. This type of service is standard throughout south Asian management, but normative behavior does not excuse nor equal professional standards. To compound these concerns, the different chicken choices here taste of rushed product, while taking more than the time of fine dining. Different flavored sauces tasted as though seasoning powder had been partially mixed into a base, while flavors refused to permeate through the outer coating. Of the few sides they had to sample, they were forgettable and essentially 'filler' options. Most items could have used more cooking, especially on a higher heat, which still baffles me in consideration of their supposed cook time. It's overall a disappointing experience. Compared to Porto's, you're saved bills equate to lost enjoyment throughout. Many were excited for this new cuisine option and location, especially due to its Halal status, but as they are now, they'll need more than initial excitement and reduced prices to survive. I also wanted to note, we went at a time that wasn't busy, and just over 2 hours before close, and meandered through this let-down experience. We just went here today in high hopes. Not only did we wait for 35 minutes with no communication customers who came in after us were served before us with no explanation (keep in mind they ordered more food than us and also some of the same items we ordered). Another customer came in said he had been waiting for his order for 30 minutes as well. After just giving up hope that we'd ever get our food we got up to leave and thats when we saw a ROACH just taking a stroll across the floor! Came here because of the article posted on Culturemap. Arrived around 1:15 today, there was one family in the restaurant, at first glance the menu looked good and was excited to try the chicken. After ordering a peri peri wrap with the side salad and a beverage. I waited over 20 minutes for my meal with no one ahead of me, I guess they grill the chicken to order ? That's fine I guess but I would think they could produce a grilled chicken wrap a bit faster. My two stars are based solely on the flavor of the chicken and sauce. The restaurant looked like it had not been cleaned in several days. Floors were greasy looking, tables were dirty, area around soda machine also dirty. I was unable to eat my side salad because every fork I grabbed (all four of them) had old food crusted on them. At this point we've been here for a good 1.5 hour and only JUST received our food Food: overall tastes pretty good however the food came out warm..almost cold. The chicken tasted great, it's spicy so careful while ordering . The fries came out undercooked but at this point I wasn't willing to wait another hour for fries. Bathrooms....disgusting. Doesn't look like they've ever been cleaned. Honestly until they approve drastically, I wouldnt come back and nor would I recommend it to anyone else. The Piri piri whole chicken is great and has wonderful flavor. The staff and management were very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is kept clean, I noticed tables being cleaned as people were leaving very important indicator of a clean kitchen... One thing that everyone should know is everything is cooked to order...so it can take about 15-20 min (I personally am fine with it but many people love to complain about waiting for good food) "Piri piri" is not the easiest sauce to master...good work! read more

Only 1 person ahead of us and we ordered to go as it was raining and we had our dogs in the car with us. We waited one hour for our food. 1 hour. So unacceptable. This is the first time, I went to the same owner when it was Biryani Kabab Factory after 4 years. This time when I enter the restaurant, front desk was busy in taking order. After taking long time with long order from them, he didn't even acknowledge me that I was there, he turned around and went back, when he came back, I asked him if I should leave or he is ready to take my order. He said, he was explaining kitchen people regarding the order. When I was finished order, the owner charged me double the order of the main dish, and he didn't know how to cancel the order or change the amount, 3 people came to come help him. (One was IT guy who resolved my issue) The women who gave order before me, they came several times because owner made several mistakes in their order and they were showing their receipt for the proof. In the middle of all this, 2 African American ladies came in and NO ONE noticed them at all. Owner was busy in explaining MISTAKES in the order to the women who came before me, he was having his back on the customers who were coming in. I spoke with guys (IT person) about my concern regarding those customers leaving while no one acknowledged them, they referred me to the owner. He (owner) asked me what happened, I told him someone needs to be there at the cashier desk all the time. He pointed out in a angry manner, someone is there. I told him that, he lost 2 customers and owner started getting angry at me, he was explaining me that, he has been working for 30 years in this business with a angry attitude. I told him, arguing with me, he is loosing another customer, but how he can back down from his ego. He kept being heated and showed me an angry behavior. In the end he told me he is busy so he is leaving, so I told him to leave!!!!! People who were working behind in the kitchen, they agreed with me that, the owner has aggressive behavior and it was not only me, they have other examples as well. The other person who was at the cashier register, he said sorry and asked me give them one more chance, I told him, the owner is showing me the same behavior what he did 4 years ago. It was great to have ample seating, quality grilled food and sides. Highly recommend the piri piri chicken legs and corn on the cob. The orange juice was fresh squeezed, so that was very nice too.
