First time trying this restaurant after reading the positive reviews! I have been on a mission to find thin crust pizza since my local fave closed (Cavalli's). This restaurant offers both thin and deep dish style pizza. The aroma was amazing! The toppings were plentiful and fresh. We ordered the Mediterranean thin crust pizza, which had garlic, red onion, red and green peppers, and jalapeños. We really enjoyed the taste, but the crust was not crispy, which was a bummer. Late night pizza craving in Dallas the last thing I expected was some top tier pizza. This pizza was hot fresh and tasty definitely a top 7.9. Not to mention this place was also halal with all meats being served halal. The service was on point I had to add another pizza to my order. For some reason, I never heard of this place before a friend of mine brought it up seemingly at random in conversation, and with some confusion I went on to check if it was halal. According to the owner, a Chicago native and kind Muslim dad, it certainly was. So on Christmas day, we picked up. Now what truly brings this place up from maybe a 4/4.5, is the kind and hospitable service. In a professional angle, they were able to consistently and constantly take orders, make them exactly as asked and deliver them in less than the estimate given. Mind you again, this was early afternoon on Christmas day and my brother picking up was part of as many people COVID would allow inside, plus many delivery orders. When he had questions, the owner himself came out to explain and communicate the best he could. But the best test of them of all was when an angry customer came in, who was quickly acknowledged, respected and appeased as well as provided with complimentary items on her way out. True class all the way through. Now after that steamroll of praise, the pizza surely can't live up to that hype, now can it? Which is certainly true, but it does come close. Considering the context of this pick up, the slightly "well done" crust and uneven toppings could be forgiven because above all else, the quality and taste of the toppings, sauce and most importantly the dough, were enjoyable. I was happy with our order and for $30 for 3 people ($40 if you count the drinks and snacks from the convenience store next door), I'd certainly come back in less busy times. So that's about that, and if you're wondering, yes this is now my favorite pizza place in all of DFW. I'll certainly be back to make my own custom deep dish pie but until then, I recommend you try them as well! read more

I'm honestly conflicted about the pizza I had. I ordered a Spicy Alfredo 6", the spice coming from the jalapenos. The positives - The mini pizza, even though it was small is really filling for one person, being deep dish style. The price cannot be beaten, to have pizza for less than $10. The toppings were flavorful, and I LOVE the crust, especially the burnt bits of cheese on the outside, which every great Chicago deep dish should have. The chicken was moist, tender and perfectly cooked. The negatives - The alfredo white sauce was almost completely dried up, so it wasn't as juicy a bite as it could have been. The bottom of the pizza was under cooked, and doughy. So much so that it was sticking to the bottom of the pizza box. I finished the meal with a slice of the tiramisu, which was great. I placed the order at 7am ish for a deep dish and cannoli. I planned on eating off of it all day, and as those who eat a lot of deep dish know, it is very easily done! It was the small size (which feeds 2 or one famished large framed individual like me). My day was going as planned, glued to chair, keyboard and 3 screens when one screen said my order was here! I darted down, grabbed the wonderful aroma releasing package of joy and returned to my chair fighting office workers off using my green Pilot Gel pen as a fencing foil! En garde! The mouth watering pizza was sliced into large quarters. I figured 2 for lunch, one for late day snack and one when I finally got to go home. And then 1 of those sweet little cannoli at each meal break. People, that pizza was PERFECT! Heavy, sweet, chewy on the inside crispy on the outside crust with the extra cheese holding in the Canadian bacon, sweet green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and olives. Missions accomplished! Matthew and I eat here all the time . I don't even really like pizza but I like my high quality pizza ;)such as this place! Especially they're deep dish. This one is a thin crust because Matthew has spoiled me the last 2times we ate here so it was his turn to pick the pizza. I trust his Italian instincts ;). I recommend all the menu items. Small dinner salads were fresh, simple, crunchy, tasty, exactly what you need to start a pizza dinner. There's another pizza place in the neighborhood that we like a lot, but they don't do bbq chicken, and the wife is not going to be in on very many pizza orders without including a bbq chicken pizza. Every other place we've tried so far nearby that offers bbq chicken has been sad, really sad. But Chicago hand tossed bbq chicken scores. About half way through demolishing her first slice, wife takes a short break, points at the rapidly disappearing slice, and says - direct quote - "this pizza is legit". On a whim, had added the turkey bacon to their standard bbq chicken pie, and it added a nice extra meatiness to an excellent pizza. Also got a build your own, with pepperoni, sport peppers, mushrooms and kalamata olives. Absolutely delicious. Had a great subtle smokiness to it, I'm not sure if it was one of the toppings or the sauce, but it gave another layer of deep flavor to the pizza. We will be regulars No question. They were back there getting everything started. They help me put together this amazing order This is my first time there so I went with the fan favorite the "Chicago Pie". This was a very heavy Pizza and only 8 slices but very thick. You can feel the pizza, it's an extreme deep dish to me. Lifting this box felt like I was lifting weights‍ lol. We went for a supreme pizza. The nice lady told me to add pineappleto it it gives it a nice little sweet and spicy taste. The service was very nice and friendly. My order was done within about 25 to 30 minutes. Which for the size of this pizza pie that's pretty amazing. Note eating inside would be interesting cuz you need to let this kind of pie cool down to solidify first. I got it home and went to work on it immediately and it was amazing. The next morning me eating two slices of cold pizza pie was the taste of champions lol . This is a hidden gem in the Irving, Texas area and if you like Chicago style pizza pies, check this place out. read more

Well, this was disappointing. The delivery app advertised a pizza loaded with various meats. What I received was a pizza generously topped with peppers and with a few pieces of meat hiding between the bread and cheese. It was as if they ran out of meat and tried to disguise it. I've never walked into a restaurant and felt so unwelcome. My daughter (5 y/o) and I walked in to dine for pizza. The guy looked at me like I was a ghost and seemed disappointed and annoyed that I was there. He then says dismissively "sit down." Then he goes to the back to get another guy, who then walks out looks at us and walks back to the back. It was so uncomfortable that I decided to just leave. I couldn't imagine trusting anything they'd cook for us. Of course my little one asked why we had to leave and I couldn't bring myself to tell her why I believe they had such a visceral reaction to the two of us coming into their establishment to dine. We were dressed appropriately, heck we even got out of a nice car (not that it should matter). I dare not tell her in their eyes was the look all Black people have experienced at one time or another in their life, that "why are YOU here" look. At any rate, I don't spend money where I'm not welcome. Moved on and thought it best to share the experience. I have been ordering here since we moved to South Irving 3 years ago, this place has yet to disappoint us, it's just damn good pizza. Prices are pretty fair considering the pizza is not sheisty on any ingredient. We normally order a Cal-zone, a XL pizza and a small deep dish. All of which feeds 3 of us for 2 days (2 meals.) We finally ordered a Pizza Pie and it was glorious, no idea if it was as good as people gloat about Chicago deep dish however my wife and I loved every bit of it. One of the best pizza's we have had in a while. We ordered a large meatball and sausage one for 30.00. Well worth it. We will order one more often now that we know what to expect. It weighed about 4-5 lbs, the crust was soft and full of cheese baked in, excellent amount of meatball and sausage in each piece. 2 Slices are enough to fill you up. This local joint delivers and puts all the chain pizza to shame. All that matters is that the pizza was excellent, judge for yourself by trying it. Everyone is gonna be mixed on their expectations of "authentic." I don't care about whether this is Chicago authentic because every food place claims to be authentic to something. So I decided to come by this place because it's right near where we live. I didn't find a menu with prices right away with the prices for pizza but I decided to get a supreme pizza and some garlic bread. We paid about $30 but I'm not sure it's worth that price. The pizza was pretty decent, plenty of toppings on the supreme but their was hardly any cheese on it and the cheese that was on it felt it was tasteless. I tried the regular hand-tossed pizza versus the Chicago style. The garlic bread was pretty plain and we found a hair in it. I didn't make a stink about it when we got home since we were already almost done. All in all the pizza is decent but I do feel the prices need to be adjusted and the flavors, at least on the garlic bread, need to be worked on. read more

This place is closed at 10:30pm Thursday 8-8-2019. The hours are either wrong or they close whenever. Tried twice to visit this place, first time wouldn't answer the phone... this time called and called and called from 10:00pm till I arrived at the location 30min later thinking I can place the order on the way since it says open til midnight...NOPE, got here.. place looks like it's out of business...I give up. I just walked in and ordered a lasagna and an extra side of meatballs about 40 minutes ago: I saw two people who ordered pizzas after I ordered, get there orders and left. So I asked the guy at the register of my order was even processed. He had no idea what I even ordered. He brought up my order from the back kitchen. I Checked it. Meatballs were missing. He said wait 10 more minutes I'll get you meatballs. I told him it's bs that the other guys got there orders after I did. So just give me back my $15 refund. My bill was like $11 and I put the change in the tip jar. The owner/manager guy got mad and said he will NOT give me back my refund. I said I paid cash. Give me back my $15 and I'm leaving. He got two tens out of the register, pulled five ones out of the tip jar and threw the cash at me in front of me in the register counter. In front of other customers too. I said, "wow, nice one, dickhead. Thanks for making me wait 35 minutes for nothing." I guess that's how they treat customers here at Chicago Pizza. It's just so freaking good. The sauce tastes homemade and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Takes a good half hour to make, as it should. Seriously, the Chicago Pie is just... so... good. Note: The Chicago Pie is different from the deep dish pizza, so be sure you're ordering what you want. We accidentally ordered the deep dish last time, which was quite nice, but not what we intended. The folks who run the place are always friendly and professional. We did encounter the issue others have with the Grub Hub confusion (sometimes the restaurant delivers, sometimes Grub Hub, sometimes confusing). So, we just pick it up and take the opportunity to say "hi." HIGHLY recommend! read more

One of the best pizza's I've ever had. The sauce, crust, toppings. It was great. The delivery was taking a good little so I called back, in the process I overheard that they have beef pepperoni. That sealed the deal for me. Add to that you can call them directly and request delivery without an app, and they accept CASH! This place is the best pizza place in DFW. Positively wonderful. When you walk in it doesn't seem like much. It's rather unassuming, but I promise you that is the finest pie you'll ever get. They use very fresh ingredients that are so delicious and they apply plenty of them. They do not skimp out on toppings here at all. The cheese is wonderful, the sauces are made there, not prepackaged with excellent option including: Olive Oil, Pizza Sauce, Pesto Sauce, and Alfredo Sauce. They also have an excellent Garlic Pesto Cheese Bread that is simply the most delightful appetizer served with their freshly made marina sauce I always need to get two of the cups. The spinach is also always beautiful green leaves. The olives are very high quality as well. They are also happy to modify a pizza you order off the menu with additional toppings. They have thin and deep dish available too. They also have some decent Buffalo wings. Excellent service as well, the owner is super friendly.
