Happy 2000th Review!! So happy to ring this one in while I'm traveling in NY with the best group of friends. Since our college days my friends and I have frequented Sooljips, aka Korean bars, since they have always had great snacks, affordable alcohol and consistency lead to a great time. All these years and we're still the same! Pocha Pocha was conveniently located near us while we were looking up a spot for dinner. This is probably more of an after party spot, but we wanted to streamline and skip to the fun. The interior was super cute and I love the dim lit ambiance with string lights. They also have exterior seating but it was a rainy day and we opted for the inside. Lily was our amazingggggg waitress and she took care of us all night long. She was super friendly, sweet and attentive. Her other team members were fun and friendly also. They brought out complimentary popcorn and plenty of water for the table. These drunk snackies are huge portions and meant to be shared so we went with the Army Stew ($22.99), Grilled Chicken Gizzard ($20.99), Corn Cheese ($??) and Kim Chee Pancake ($14.99). And a fewwww Chamisul Fresh ($12.99) and Chamisul Grapefruit ($12.99). Probably like 6 or 7 bottles?!?! Anyways the soju was the first to come out naturally and I LOVE that they had this special color changing coaster for the soju bottle. This is liiiiiiiit!! We were so excited Lily actually came back with more lighting coasters for us all to have one for our shot glasses. How nice! Their level of service is definitely above and beyond because they even moved an additional table to combine with our existing space so we would have more room for our food! How thoughtful! As the food came out my friends and I were in love with all of the drunk munchies we ordered. I am in love with corn cheese and I have it anytime I see it on the menu and this was legit one of the best corn cheeses I've ever had. If I was a local I can see myself being a Pocha Pocha regular and blowing my paychecks on corn cheese and soju. What an INCREDIBLE NIGHT. Sending love and good vibes to Lily and her team who took good care of us all night. Cheeeerrrsss!

Found this Pocha on Google while I was in Flushing last night. Been to a couple different ones nearby but wanted to try a new place. The ambiance is definitely 90s old school with the music and decor they had going on. They have a decent amount of seating and a backyard with heated lamps. The prices are slightly more expensive here, and there aren't that many small appetizer choices. I believe the cheapest food item was $14.99 which is a bit steep, especially if you are just looking for small food items to munch on while drinking. I can't speak to the food quality but the drinks/pocha vibes were very on par and the service was great!

Very cute vibes instead that I didn't expect looking in from the outside. Great for a group of friends for late night drinking and snacks! We got a couple of things to snack on to pair with our soju and beer and everything was very tasty. Would say something's are overpriced but that's expected when you go out for drinks.

Stopped by here for the first time after my night flight and wow, so impressed by the lady who served us. She was incredibly kind and patient with our orders, food, and everything. The tofu stew was great and it was a killer combo with rice. Great vibes here and would love to come again.

Excellent food, service, and pub atmosphere, and probably where all Koreans go at night for a drink with friends and some comforting food while you're at it. Fairly new restaurant with a caring attentive staff. We called and made sure they were closing at 2AM so we could come in for some late night stew. We were treated to some chilled white daikon/kimchi soup while we waited for the food. The army stew and seafood stew were presented on table gas stoves. Out of the two, we preferred the army stew with ramen noodles, pork slices, sausage, veg, onion, and spam bubbling away in a slightly sweet mildly spicy stew similar to tofu soup. Perfect with some perfectly cooked Korean rice. The seafood stew had a variety of shellfish including crab, mussels, giant clams, with veg and firm tofu to soak up the intense broth. Good hearty food. tl;dr get the army stew spicy and maybe try to ask to add some more sliced pork. Definitely the atmosphere to get an alcoholic beverage to go with the food. Immaculate service. Can't wait to return.

I came to Pocha Pocha with 6 other friends for college reunion and had a very positive dining experience. I was able to make a reservation 3 hrs ahead and find a parking spot around 3 blocks away in the neighborhood near by. The restaurant owner was super hospitable and treated us free soda! I would definitely visit Pocha Pocha again in the future

The service and food were great! The place was cozy, very festive and welcoming. They are very friendly and approachable, however, I just noticed that the hostesses were very touchy to men. This is somehow inappropriate especially when you're dating the guy that they're touching too much. It may seem a friendly touch, but still not appropriate.

Their food is okay but the server is not friendly. If you really like friendly with delicious food, don't recommend!

Great service! When you walk in, it feels like you want to immediately be part of a k-drama.. drinking late night beer and eating great food with your crush or your good ol' buddies. The staff kept checking on our table and mentioned they are new restaurant. Good portion of food for the price. It's so nice to have people who care about their customers in NYC!

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Restaurant is super causal - there isn't really an "ambiance" to it. But a good casual post work spot. I ordered the below for two people: -Kumquat Caesar: enjoyed. Honestly takes like a normal caesar salad (done well). Kumquats are a really nice touch. Nice accompaniment to the heavier dishes. -KFC: pretty standard for Korean fried chicken, but enjoyed. -Kimchi Pancake: I couldn't really taste the cheese, but this was good and I'd order again. Great to share. -Grilled Bulgogi: flavorful, lean. Would order again. -Spicy Grilled Pork Japchae: this was our least favorite dish. Not sure if something was off in the kitchen, but this didn't taste like japchae at all. We didn't finish and I wouldn't order again.

Unfortunately I didn't come with a big enough group to try everything, but I did get to try their kimchi fried rice ($17), perilla oil noodles ($18), and hojok galbi ($56) from their lunch menu. The meal came with a simple set of banchan-- some kimchi that had a good salty-sour balance, and an addicting sweet potato salad that was almost dessert-like. These banchan ended up pairing really well with everything we ordered, and we had to keep on asking for refills. I almost never order kimchi fried rice at a restaurant because it's something that I can make at home. However, I was glad I got to try it here. The bacon added so much smoky flavor and I was impressed at how chewy the rice kernels were. The perilla oil noodles were very refreshing. They came with a savory but light sauce. I really loved the combination of shallots, jalapenos, and seaweed that added so much texture and freshness to the dish. Finally, the galbi! Yum! The beef was so tender and the sauce almost reminded me of those microwave salisbury steak meals, but in the best way possible. The salad on the side was so good with the beef (+sweet potato salad = heaven). The chopped roasted peanuts added almost a Southeast Asian vibe to the dish. If I had to find something to complain about, I would say that the peppers on top weren't spicy enough.

Hojok galbi -- very tender with sauce thats not too overpowering, imo was on the lighter side and not too sweet. Loved that the dish also came with some greens and had a sweet and tangy dressing that also paired nicely with the galbi. Perilla oil noodles -- also very delicious, i personally rlly like the flavor of perilla seeds. I thought the noodles were cooked perfectly, im not the biggest fan of buckwheat noodles, but these noodles didnt stick together and was slightly on the harder side vs very chewy and sticky. I thought the dish would be spicy but surprisingly there was little to no spice. I thought this dish was so light and delicious. I know buckwheat noodles are meant to be eaten cold, but i wish it was served warm. And the entrees were delicious and even with other tables almost on top of each other it never felt crowded due to partitions that I saw them remove for some larger groups needing tables "together", and I never felt part of someone else's dinner convo. Presentation was amazing and food was delicious - Soon Tofu Soup with seafood for me, which arrived bubbling like a cauldron. It came with a raw egg that you crack into the soup and let it cook to your level of doneness.
