Good size filing burgers, sweet potato fries were alright. The workers were very kind and helpful. Food took about 10-13 mins, but comes out hot and fresh. Good burger to fulfill your craving. Recommend the pocket burger. A bit pricey. read more

I took the doggo to the beach and decided to pick up some lunch. I was greeted with someone who said, "My name is __, what is yours?" That's how she let me know my food was ready - by calling my name, not by calling a number (nice touch). I ordered the beef teriyaki "bowl" with brown rice. What i got was a huge serving of tri tip teriyaki, veggies, brown rice, with some kind of magic teriyaki sauce. The serving was huge. I ended up eating part of it the next day for lunch, so it definitely was enough to serve more than one, or to leave with leftovers. The tri tip was sliced very thin, and there was a good portion. The sauce was great-I could have used more of it though - maybe a small side of sauce. read more

Dropped in for my birthday, we've been coming to this shack for over 10 years. Come to find out the previous owners sold to a new amazing couple. Which kept the original flavors, menu and recipes. Still high standards with great flavor, and great portions. We stopped by a little after 10-11 am and got chatting with the couple who now owns the business and how they got it. A really amazing story and so so friendly, they gave our children a couple small dishes of sherbet while we chatted with them and waited for our burgers. Wish to have stayed and chatted longer but had to road trip back home. We will still be coming back as often as we can. WE LOVE POCKET BURGER!! read more

Ah, few things in life can beat taking a gargantuan bite out of a voluptuous, juicy burrito, after traveling miles under the toasty sun with the white noise of ocean waves gently caressing your kayak. The California burrito hit the sweet spot for the right moment. I've had better burritos, but this burrito was pretty good. I liked the amount of filling. Who wants a limp burrito? This was a nice hefty burrito. I wasn't a fan of the "Pocket sauce." It overpowered whatever was in the burrito. I could barely taste the tri-tip, which I'm sure would've been amazing. The burrito tasted pretty okay, but I couldn't really taste much of anything other than the sauce. Either way, it was a nice treat out on the kayaks. Very portable, easy to clean up, filling. I wouldn't ever go out of my way to come back here, but if I had another water adventure ahead of me and wanted a convenient pack and go, I'd consider coming back. read more

This is one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had!!! I got the Al pastor chorizo burrito with home style potatoes. It's made fresh to order, so took about 10 min from time of ordering. It was so fresh, flavorful, and full of meat! I got the red and green salsa on the side which were both very good. Service was also very welcoming and friendly. This place is great! This is a small place with very limited parking. You will need to find parking on the street or in the neighborhood. The burger was loaded and very flavorful but it was also a bit messy. Good thing they have some moist towelettes available. There was a ton of garlic on the fries. The fries by themselves were seasoned and crispy. There might a be a longer wait during lunch time but my order came out quicker than expected. I liked how all of their burgers already comes with fries. I will definitely come back again if I forget to pack a lunch for work. read more

I just ordered through yelp/grubhub at the beach I waited not knowing the driver couldn't enter the beach entrance I was able to get ahold of the customer service and they were great I was able to meet up with the driver at the entrance of the beach. A tasty place to feast after a day of fun in the sun or refresh with a tasty beverage or both. Been going to Pocket burger for awhile prices are reasonable for the size portion you receive. My go to is their breakfast burrito. It has never disappointed me. It should be named the breakfast bomb burrito,these are massive and just loaded with all of the goodies that you would come to want and the taste buds crave. Being able to choose your choice of proteins if desired. Choice of fries,hashbrowns or my favorite the tater tots and so many other fixings that would have you salivating. The service is top notch, very friendly and personable Dan & Lori have always strived to show a great appreciation for your business and an eagerness to please. If I've phoned an order in, they always seem to meet that time. Parking can sometimes be a bit challenging during the summer excitement. First impressions: a hole in the wall, beach bum type spot. Only a few tables inside (which are currently closed due to covid) but there are a few outdoor tables. Mom + Pop owned, they will always remember your face and often will give you a cookie on return trips. Food: THE POCKET BURGER is my favorite! HUGE portion and super juicy and satisfying. Love the pocket sauce. I always get it with no onions or tomatoes but lots of extra lettuce. I usually go here for lunch after a day at the beach or to grab lunch on my way to the beach and it's more than enough to keep me filled. I also love the SCORPION BURRITO, it's like a whole Thai dish wrapped up into a convenient portable meal... perfect for the beach. Tastes even better leftover the next day; and you WILL have leftovers because this burrito is the size of my head. Watch out though... it's pretty spicy (which I love, but one of my friends was overwhelmed by it). I was opt for the garlic fries because of the extra garlicky goodness... of course I wouldn't kiss me afterwards, but still... 100% worth it. Other notes: Covid times has been rough but the owners are always happy and smiling and have time to talk and ask about my friends and how my family is doing. Been coming to the Pocket for about 5 years now. Love this cute little shack right on PCH. My take is biased, since I have only ever ordered the Cali Burrito (my favorite burrito in the entire world). When the new owners took over, there was a noticeable change in the way it was delivered. Onions and peppers were also added which I truly don't think the original Cali Burrito should have ever been changed, but that is my opinion. I just order without the new additions now and it's still an amazing burrito. Their fries and onion rings are fantastic too! read more

absolutely the best breakfast burritos in huntington beach. they are HUMONGOUS and equally delicious. I love their array of options. I always opt for Spam but they have 4-5 different chorizo choices alone. Their salsas have great flavor. the burritos come with egg/meat/tots or home fries/bell peppers/onions/sour cream & pico de gallo-so if you don't watch the veggies just tell them! :) I absolutely need to come for their other incredible options but genuinely crave their breakfast burritos throughout the week. they also have fresh served juices to offer. their patio is small and parking is limited but it adds to the local beach/surf stop feel. while I haven't brought my pups they have treats for them, and on the day before mother's day they were throwing an event down the street with a dog food vendor & they were serving puppicinos to celebrate fur mommas. Lastly, they are so kind and welcoming. This place was pretty delicious; I ordered the OC burger with grilled onions. When we first came in, they offered us complimentary drink samples which was super kind of them. Although the OC burger was fairly good, the bun and patty could be slightly more juicy. The serving sizes also felt kind of small for its price. The shack was pretty cute, but since it's small, there's not enough seating space. And since it's right next to the street, the seating space is polluted with car noise. It is pretty awesome that it's just a short walk to the beach! Definitely recommend this place for its food. read more

Ok finally stopped by this place and will definitely be back! One of those hole on the wall places on PCH that is quintessential CA dining. Food is made fresh with quality ingredients that show thru in the taste. Got a basic cheeseburger and garlic fries with onion rings and they were all excellent. As good as the food was the Agua Fresca was equal to the task. Watermelon and then a passion fruit mango which are worth the price of admission alone! As good as all that was the service and friendliness of the owner were just great. Daniel gives 110% and takes great pride in your experience. Not expected in fastish food but Daniel genuinely enjoys what he is doing and it shows. He even gave me a sticker!!! Many other items worth checking out but I can only eat so much at one sitting. Hidden Gem describes this place perfectly! My wife got the Pocket Burger and I got the OC Burger. Both were fantastic! Quality seasoned Angus beef. Thoughtful toppings and cooked to absolutely perfection not too over or under. For around $11 every burger comes with either fries, garlic fries, sweet potato fires, or onion rings. They also have a great drink selection as well as a cool tattoo and speak easy bar next store. A little bit for every one. Will be going back soon! read more
