What a disappointment this place was. Had really high hopes as every time I pass by the parking lot is ful. I have to say the server was great the food not so good. I hate to give a bad review as I know businesses are still struggling. Start with drinks, beer was hot, the house Chardonnay was horrible, un drinkable and the Mango margarita lost its mango along the way. Although the calamari was fresh and the breading was good it lacked any seasoning whatsoever, same with the chicken wings, wanted the habanero mango and got a mild sweet sauce with no other seasoning. The skirt steak was minuscule and the side of zucchini came long after eating. The Cuban sandwich was pasable. The chef certainly needs to find seasoning or at least salt and pepper. The drinks and food were great. We order a pint and a beer flight and for lunch we had a pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and a smash burger and fries. We had decided to order a wine flight to split and let our server know when she brought our food. When she left we notice we did not have ketchup on the table for the fries and rings and thought we would ask for it when server came back with the wine flight. 15 minutes later she came back with the drinks claiming the bar was backed up. From our view of the bar, that probably wasn't true. And maybe we would have been okay if she had just come back to check on us and explain that. We sent the wine flight back as we were done eating...except the fries and onion rings that were now cold. We just asked for our check. That came almost immediately. read more

We had a great dinner at the Pocono Brewery Company. I love visiting local breweries when going to a new place and this one didn't disappoint. Our waitress Simone was so patient and helpful. Everyone in my family ordered a different wood fired pizza which were all creative and delicious. I also ordered a beer flight, trying some of the craft beers they had to offer. I love that they had a variety of flavors. They were also very COVID conscious by having spread out indoor and outdoor seating as well as disposable silverware, plates, and cups. read more

Food was delicious but the service was SO SLOW and the lack of attentiveness by the wait staff was ridiculous!! We were there an hour and a half and I only got one refill on my iced tea. They were not busy at all and yet the food took forever to come out. Don't even get me started on how they charge more if you use a credit card than if you pay cash. That would be bad enough, but if you're going to do that, the ATM on sight should be in working order!!! My fam and I were staying at Kalahari and wanted to have dinner outside the overpriced resort restaurants and we were lucky to find this place. We were there on a Sunday night so it was not crowded and we were served right away. The place is spacious and has a warm pub/brewery feel. My hub ordered a local beer which he liked and I had the house rose. My hub ordered a sausage pizza which was recommended as its baked in the imported brick oven from Italy. He enjoyed it. I had the spaghetti and meatballs that also comes with a side salad. The meatballs and sauce were fantastic. Portion was huge. My kids had the Mac and cheese and the spaghetti from the kids menu. Their meals were decent but they preferred the pizza and my meatballs. For all this we paid around $50 which was the best part. We would have spent that for just one of our meals at the resort. read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday night and surprisingly it was not packed. Giant interior as well as an outdoor area to enjoy the nice weather. Settled inside at a booth in full view of the wood-fire oven. Obviously, if you are going to a place with an oven like that, you have to order the pizza. Decided on the PBC Pizza ($15) to go along with the 4-beer sampler ($12ish). Dish is exactly as you'd hope - crust is not too crispy, and the tomato sauce blends well alongside the mozzarella, olives, onions, peppers, and basil. Overall addicting and easy to eat, however the pizza cools incredibly fast, so it's best to eat it in a hurry. The beers I tried were mostly okay - best of the bunch was the 570 Oatmeal Stout, a dark brew with a faint coffee taste. Server here is incredibly friendly as we got our orders in and food delivered without much of a wait. Would come back here for the pizza. read more

We stopped here on a Monday evening for drinks and appetizers. Place was pretty empty and it took server some time to initially greet us but she was attentive after that. Our friends got a beer flight, beer was decent. My cocktail was mostly soda, my wife liked hers. We got the appetizer sampler which tasted like frozen microwave food, not very good at all. My side salad came with no dressing. The bread pudding is very good. Overall not a great choice. We will stick with Barley Creek in the future. read more

We stopped in around 6:30 on Friday and it was a little slow. We got seated right away and had the option of a booth or these cute tables that were barrels with glass tops. We opted for the booth since straddling a barrel wasn't that appealing. Our waitress with very nice and patient. The menu wasn't very extensive but it had the basics you would want at a brewery. We started with a soft pretzel. I can't resist. It came with beer cheese which was ok and grainy mustard that was a little sweet. My husband got the bacon burger with chips. He really enjoyed this. I must say he gorged himself just trying to finish the burger. The chips were think and crispy. It was good but basic. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad. The chicken had a good grill flavoring. I had to ask for extra dressing since the salad was lightly dressed. I wished there was a little more to the salad like homemade croutons or large shavings of cheese but it was pretty basic. The beer my husband tried was good. For a brewery and winery, I thought they would have more items that they actually made. I guess that's how to meet the needs of others. Nice atmosphere inside. Menu is rather small with not too many choices for a brewery. The pizza menu is by far much larger than the other food. As such, the 3 of us who dined here ordered pizza's. They were pretty good & they listened to my request for an extra crispy pizza which I appreciated. Service was quite slow & there was no one else in there on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch. Renovated very nicely. Many areas to eat and hear music. The waitress/hostess who seated us was very patient as we decided where to sit. Sat outside and there was a wedding reception on a sorta private area and we got to hear their music. My husband ordered a pizza with meats and cheese. He LOVED it. Didn't eat lunch so ate the whole thing! I had salmon, with mashed potatoes and "wood fired" veggies. Salmon was done right but no seasoning. Potatoes were ok, nothing was hot and the veggies were mostly eggplant and were steamed. Needed to be hotter, more seasonings, waitress was lovely but we seemed to be her only table so didn't come back to see if we needed anything. I needed salt and pepper! Meh. It was OK. Our server was great, but the food was only so-so. And the most off-putting thing was that the menu says in small print at the top that you can save 5% by paying in cash, but at the bottom is says you'll be charged an extra 3% for using a credit card. So I guess the prices listed on the menu aren't for cash OR credit? Weird. Just build the extra 3% into your prices then. read more

Absolutely love this place. This is my first time here and I was blown away. Of all the breweries I have tried in the area, I think that this place has the best food, best craft beer, best service. I had the pretzel brewer's charcuterie Board, and it was delicious, and definitely enough for two people. The brewmaster, Jean-Luc, was behind the bar and was really kind and informative with our questions on the beers. He let us sample a lot of different beers and told us about the process for all of them. Incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Our bartender was really nice, and the service was outstanding. Food was delicious and they source as much local product as possible. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. Running on a skeleton crew, we waited 30 minutes in an empty restaurant for a table because they don't have the crew. The ones who are there however are extremely friendly. Vast selection of beer and mixed drinks, prices for food are borderline nyc prices ($17 for chicken fingers and fries?). My husband liked his beer flight and cheesesteak, my Cuban sandwich was good minus the burnt bottom of the bread. Mozzarella sticks are made in house, but cold in the middle. We found this place charming and a great night out. The beer is delicious - crafted with loving attention by Jean-Luc, who told us all about the beer that he creates the way an artisan would talk about their work. (I love it when people really care about what they make and share it with hospitality). We got a flight of beers and we loved a lot of them - the Mauch Chuck (original name of Jim Thorpe) is a perfect blend of crisp & hops and was ever so drinkable. We got a six pack to take home. The pizza was delicious, and the beautiful sicilian brick oven is tended to by their cousin Enzo, who is Italian-Italian, as in: born and raised near Napoli, where pizza was invented. He's working that big wood-fired oven with great care and was fun to talk to. We love and miss Italy, so it was a little bit like visiting famiglia to be at this place and enjoy it all. I honestly didn't try one of their own beers except for a taste of their high ABV aged stout which was really flavorful. Yes, it's weird having to wait because of Covid understaffing issues, especially when it appears to actually be due to people voluntarily choosing not to work. Any-who, we weren't in a hurry the day we were there so the wait didn't really matter. The bartender was so self deprecating and sarcastic that she made it hilarious to be there. I had a few juice bombs and the pizza wasn't bad either The bartender made a potentially "blah" experience pretty fun! read more

Very overpriced for below average food. The beers were about averaged price, but weren't anything special in my opinion. I got a rodeo burger with fries which was $20. The burger was good but the fries were awful frozen crinkle cut fries. Fries are an extra $1 on an already overpriced meal. Definitely avoid the fries and get onion rings or chips instead. Our server seemed too busy for us and especially at the end, she was hard to track down. The inside atmosphere was nice and there was live music. It looks like they have a big outdoor space too. I wouldn't go back and get food there, but I would probably go back for some drinks. read more

The Pocono Brewery Company is more reminiscent of a pub than your typical brewery experience. They have a bar, as well as a sit down restaurant area. In terms of both beer and food, they have plenty of selections, as well as flights of different sizes for tastings. That being said, the $20 flight of 8 mini beers felt a little expensive compared to other breweries in the area. That being said, the beers were imaginative in their design- ranging from a regular beer that reminded me a bit of typical drinks you'd find in any bar like a Coors or a Budweiser, to fruit flavored hoppy beers to a sour stranger things themed beer. They tasted alright, but way too many hops for my taste. The Reuben I got tasted okay- the meat was definitely a lower quality but the fries that came with it was delicious. The pizza was okay as well. The standout in the meal was the pretzel board- a meat and cheese board served with a giant pretzel. The cheese was pretty exotic (one of the selections was infused with beer, imported from Italy). That part of the meal was especially good. read more

This may come out on the negative end however it's not that bad. The place is really chill looking. In the woods brewing company. Interior wood walls, open, great bar and an outdoor setting. The. You have a giant pizza done, which who doesn't like pizza and beer , with all these pictures of Italy. So the walls are decorated as if your in an Italian restaurant and the whole place is set up like a cool brewery. The menu is limited but if it's good who cares, right. My family loves cheese steaks, see my other yelps. So when we ask the waitress how are the cheese steaks her reply was " well,hmmmmm, there ok"! Well that's a big " DONT GET IT". But thanks for being honest. Followed by that question of course was " well, what do you recommend?" She replied " we are famous for our pizza ". . Well that's that, pizza it is. My wife and I ordered two pizzas( 12 inchers) one with sauce and one without. You can see the pictures to see what I mean. Our friends ordered a cheese steak and a veggie sandwich. Well let me tell you the food envy my wife and I had when there sandwiches came out... fresh chips/ potatoes fat chip fries.... our pizza was in even with the topping that it look like they used a couple of slices of sliced mozzarella and only put it on a certain piece. The taste of the pizza was good but the topping were so sporadic that you couldn't get what they were going for. Tasting the other side of the table was really good. We are 6 slices between both pies and I had them through the rest away. However I took all the left over awesome potatoe inventions home. The service was slow, granted it was a Wednesday in the Pocono and there were only the tables occupied. But there beers came in 6 or 12 oz glasses( maybe it's the law). My family and I have eaten up in these parts a lot and you get what you get but get it right... sometimes it's the little things... maybe I could have given it 4 stars but the potential is 5!!! read more

Started with the Firecracker Shrimp which were pretty bland taste wise and The Nach "Show" which were some of the worst nachos I have ever had in a restaurant. The shredded cheese was not melted at all under the liquid nacho cheese. The presentation did not work as when the can was removed a bunch fell onto the table. Had the raspberry IPA, very drinkable subtle raspberry, I'd definitely eat here again and try more beers and even wines. I'll start by saying I do not recommend this place. We walked in and were told to wait for the hostess, we waited a little more than 5 mins. She strolled out the kitchen with no urgency with her travel mug and drink in hand. Only once she got her self situated did she ask if we need to be seated? The establishment was not busy what so ever, she goes to seat the people that came in before us and then takes forever to come back and finally we got seated. The wait staff did not know what the soup of the day was and misinformed us, we only found out what the actual soup was when the items came out and it was completely something else that we sent back. I ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp and what I got was a chicken Caesar salad with three shrimps on a skewer that were cut in half to make it appear like more shrimps, they weren't even big shrimps, they were medium size shrimps cut in half and they charge $8 for that! They automatically charge a 3% credit card fee and we paid with cash but at the point we where fed up with this place, we just paid and left. The food was not fresh at all, my teenager did not make it out the restaurant without having to run to the bathroom with massive diarrhea. By the evening time two other children we were with were both vomiting and with diarrhea. Being that they hadn't ate anything else since the morning the food consumed at this establishment was the only culprit. Stay away! read more

Two weeks ago my husband and I visited the Swiftwater location for the first time. The food was great as was the atmosphere. Customer service was definitely lacking. When the servers delivered our food, one of the servers knocked my husband's drink over. Being a full glass, this made quite a mess spilling onto his pants and jacket. The one server helped clean the table and mopped the floor. She did offer to move us to a different table, we were fine remaining where we were once it was cleaned up. When the bill arrived I was shocked to see nothing was comped, not even the $3 glass of iced tea. I completely understand this is a tough time for restaurants, but with that being said one would think they'd want to make all the customers happy to ensure return business.
