We hired them to move from house to house and everything was fine until I slept in my bed for the first night and it collapsed on me. Tried to get ahold of them by leaving messages and emailing with no response. The one mover text me once after my first message to the company asking about the bed. I asked him to have Tim call me but never heard from him again. I filed a complaint with the BBB. In short, don't use this company. The response by Jack G is wildly inaccurate. I assure you the complaint has been filed with the BBB. The bed was assembled by his movers and the first night we slept in it, it did break due to them not assembling correctly. POG is professional and helped us move from Chandler to Ahwatukee. They wrapped up our stuff and protected it with blankets to ensure there would be no damage. Not only did my crew show up early, they called to make sure I didn't need anything prior to their arrival. When they showed up they shook hands, looked us in eye and went to work! I was SO impressed at the attitude, super hard work and care these young men gave to my belongings. We truly enjoyed working with this team and I would hire them again in a second. We had 3 amazing helpers show up to our storage unit on a hellishly hot Phoenix summer morning with not only smiles , but a contagious eagerness to help get the job done. Though a couple of them looked smaller in stature at first glance, each one of them could easily do the work of 10 men! I was astounded!! Austin and his crews' professionalism was absolutely refreshing. They cared for our belongings like they were their own. The assignment included unloading our huge 26 ft moving truck (that I personally drove down from Portland during a long, hassle-riddled drama-filled 4 day trip) to 2 separate locations. The guys were not only willing to do this but did it with smiles and absolute professionalism. They were extremely cognizant of the ongoing pandemic and all wore masks as they worked. I needed to move my stuff from two locations. My first move with them was good. For the second move, without aligning with me, they sent 3 guys instead of 2 and unlike previous move, the guys who came were quite young, not strong and totally under equipped (with no 4 wheel dolly or contraptions to lift heavy items). The damaged my stuff and too and are not willing to refund. Though one of their own movers said that they are sorry, but Tim was not willing to compensate and somehow made it sound that it is my fault. I will never recommend it to anyone. read more

I have never had such a worse experience. Two young men showed up with no unloading equipment just themselves. Not their fault the owners fault. We had a 26 ft Uhaul to be unloaded. They did not know what they were doing. Busted my work desk and dropped it twice also dropped my dresser and cracked it. They took paint and corners off my walls. We had to help them and show them how to unload and lift the stuff. We moved from the midwest to here and the company that loaded us was great. Would not recommend is company at all. Only reason I would give a star is you have to rate. When we called the company they did not want to do anything about what they broke. We rented a U-haul truck and I heard about the affiliation with moving companies. We had 20 years of stuff to move so I needed help. When I spoke to the customer service rep and gave her the details she mentioned that when the email came, not to worry about the fact the starting address would be showing as the destination. I was a little puzzled and asked her if she was sure, she said not to worry. Well they quoted me a time slot of 7-10 in the morning and at about 8 am I got a call from one of the guys to say they were at the new house, the wrong address. Needless to say my concern about the logistics was validated. They got to the correct address at about 8:30 am and started in right away. One of the guys was much more focused then the other and assumed a more directive roll. I was concerned about the other guy as he had to use the restroom and was in it for about 10 minutes. When he came out he went straight away to work however. The move went well, between the two guys, my son and myself it took about 4 hours for us to get all the desired items moved. This was not a full service move, so we had to make sure everything was ready, packed and we had to help move. I was concerned because the guys started at 8:40 ish and we finished about 4 hours later, but they started at the new house. I thought they might start the clock from there which would have added time. The y didn't though, I was charged the 4 hours. I am very satisfied with my assisted move and the guys were great. Movers were hard working and efficient. They worked around a tightly packed storage unit to load the uhaul truck. They only mildly complained that the first few feet of the unit were items not packed in boxes etc. These workers however are not trained to deal with nice furniture because they frequently placed nice wooden chairs on their backs on concrete floors thus causing scratches. In addition, they failed, by their own admission to put protection down on our clean carpets resulting in black stains as they unloaded. Employee took pictures of the damage and promised to have a manager call. That was four days ago with several calls back by us with no response. We recommend these workers for packing a truck with boxes or old furniture but not nice pieces that you want to have remain unscratched. Make sure they put down carpet protection. read more

Worst experience ever. All they talked about was how much time we reserved them for. They showed up 1.5 hours late. When we said we would pay for longer they slowed down,wasted time. They only had 7 pieces of furniture to put in a 16ft pod and only 4 pieces made it into the pod. My husband tried to give them directions and their response was they are professionals. I ordered POG movers on Tuesday for a Thursday move. I booked on the phone. I called on Wednesday to confirm the move and was told the movers would call Wednesday night. We didn't get a call Wednesday evening. POG told me the movers would show up between 8-9 AM. They did not show up or call me to tell me they were not coming. BEWARE!!!! I paid a fortune for my big move only to have my belongings so carelessly handles. I purchaseD shrink wrap as well as rented many blankets and asked to have my furniture wrapped but they did not. Not only was my family heirloom furniture not wrapped I witnessed it being dropped. When I was asked where to put my full deep freezer both my Realtor and I said put it in the sHed but please make sure it is plugged in. 5 days later when i got out to organize the shed founnd the plug just sitting on the floor. Full freezer with meat and fIsh had to be thrown away due to their carelessness and I paid them a fortune to do this!!! DO NOT use these boys if you care at all about any of your belongings!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY FOR STORAGE! At first based on my move out, I thought they were great..UNTIL I RECEIVED MY STUFF BACK FROM STORAGE 9 MONTHS LATER! I have no idea what they did after they drove away from my house with my stuff in 2 trucks - sadly I didn't get to watch the unload and placement into storage. My stuff arrived back to me 9 months later in TERRIBLE SHAPE. BEYOND FILTHY FILTHY FILTHY, and SO MUCH FURNITURE WAS DAMAGED!!!! It was VERY clear my furniture was not handled with care once it left my sight. They had promised it would be in a sealed storage unit - it was NOT. You should have seen the filth on the fabric of my brand new chairs and all the bed box springs - which were in plastic bags...and it was so important it be stored in a climate controlled space - it was obvious the warehouse was NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED - IN ARIZONA!!!! My headboard leather got so hot it bubbled and is now ruined. My dining table was badly broken and a lot more dirt and furniture damage. The guys who came to unload my stuff from storage told me it was not climate controlled and it was i an open non wrapped/sealed cage. I was super nice and patient and just wanted to have a conversation about it. I didn't demand all new stuff or a ton of $$$ - I was hoping they would pay for the cleaning of all the filthy furniture but the owner never even attempted to call me or email back after numerous calls and emails. If I could have given no stars I would have. Firstly, on the uhaul site they refer to being Veterans. That is a lie. I am a paraplegic and needed assistance packing and moving a small one bedroom apartment and moving it to BCC 15 miles up I17. It was 111 degrees on the day. I packed the entire kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. One guy spent 6 hours packing my glass hutch. The other guy was practically I throwing up it was so hot outside. They started at 8am and finished at 8pm and I paid over $2,200 to both Uhaul and POG. My furniture was damaged which when I notified them they said no way. I sent pictures as I had them from before and after. They poo poo'd me and basically told me tough bounce they looked everything over before they left except there were limited lights in this newly remodeled home. At the end of every move they tell you that if you put in a bad review they will lose their jobs. I have heard the script twice now as they helped me with a different move where they did not wreck my stuff and take me to the cleaners. Use at your own peril. The day of my move was a disaster. I had another moving company scheduled to come in at 9:00 a.m and they never showed. U-HAUL hired POG Moving & Helpers as a replacement and they showed up an hour later. By this time it was 5:00 p.m. They knew what had happened and were very friendly and tried to make me feel better about all the stress that I had been through that day. They did an awesome job at putting everything into the U-Box Containers and the owner was very involved. I hope I don't have to move anytime soon but if I do, I would hire them again. I moved at the end of July. These movers were hired last minute after another company failed to confirm two days before the move. It was very hot and they worked quickly and efficiently. The lady mover was very nice. My issue was in the packing job. None of my living room furniture was wrapped and very few of my items were protected even though I provided moving blankets and wrap. Furniture was packed on top of boxes and nothing was tied down even after repeated requests to do so. The foreman told me he had a system of "building walls" which would keep my furniture in place. It did not. My livingroom furniture was damaged and my new washing machine came out of the truck with the top panel smashed. Boxes marked fragile were packed under heavy furniture pieces and crushed. Everything at the back of the truck was scraped and scuffed as the weight of the back third of the truck was being held up by a few furniture items near the door. While I think these movers would have been fine for a local move, they seem like novices when it comes to packing for cross country moves. I would hire them for local as they worked hard in extreme temperatures. read more

They did far more, in fact, than the contract called for. The day after packing, the guys returned to haul away furniture, etc. that we didn't plan to take -- and we learned that most of it would go to veterans groups. Looks as though Carolyn A and I experienced this company's lack of service around the same time. Please see my review and Tim's responses. Carolyn A- Tim stated that he does not use the term "malicious" loosely... I beg to differ. He also managed to gouge my wall! Though his movers "fixed" it. I also was given the new guy. Tim's responses show his lack of maturity and professionalism that you would expect from a business owner. You will see in my replies to Tim I stated I am posting a review on BBB as his website advertises BBB accredited which is NOT the case per the BBB website. His response to my review on BBB was "Good luck in life I could give a flying rip about the BBB." Funny, shortly after that response I received an email from the dispute representative at BBB asking to provide proof of doing business with POG as they are disputing having interactions with me. Good luck with the repairs Carolyn. My review through ThumbTack: I decided to use POG based off all the 5 star reviews I read. My experience was just the opposite. I made an appointment for an 8 am move, by 900 there were no movers so I called Tim, the manager who told me that he would call back in 10 minutes and find out where his crew was. No call so I called him back, he said he made an error in switching my appointment tI'm with the second client but that he was sending an Extra guy to help the other job get done faster. He told me they would be over in an hour at most, which would be 1015.. the movers showed up at 1140. The truck they brought was very small and out of 3 movers only 1, named Jason hustled and did most all the heavy lifting alone. They didn't have power tools to take apart my bed or table so they spent a while doing it with just a screw driver. At the end of them packing they had Jason tell me that the remaining 8 boxes I had would not fit in the truck and they'd have to come back after asking me to transport one of my tvs in my car. I decided not to have them come back for the last 8 boxes due to not wanting to pay for an extra hour of horrible and slow service. When it was time to drive to the new place they asked if one of their crew members could ride with me, again due to a small truck. Same slowness when we got to my new place. Jason hustled and did work by stacking multiple boxes on top and moving quickly with a dolly. Meanwhile one of the other men is smoking near the truck that contains my furniture and taking 1 or 2 small things off the truck! I was furious and knew that this would take longer than the 3 hours I budgeted for so I started helping move my own stuff that I paid movers to move!! Lee and the smoker attempted to get my couch through the entry way and managed to gouge my wall and leave black scuffs on the wall. I then called time to tell him of his crews speed, lack of timeliness, size of truck and gouge on the wall. He told me that the truck 99% of the time is able to fit 2 bedroom apartments with no problem (I had a 1 bedroom )and this was not the case. When I told him I was specific in my emails of how many boxes and large items he said "unfortunately since we can't see these items that's a risk you take" his response for the movers showing at 1140 was "sometimes jobs take longer and it pushes the start of the next job out" fine, I understand that HOWEVER had Tim not made the mistake of switching my appointment with the second appointment of the day I would have been the 1st job and would not have dealt with lag time! He stated that his compensation for his error was throwing it a 3rd mover for free. I have an issue with 3 guys who are unable to get a 1 bed, 1 bath apt moved in 3 hours. Tim then tried to say that the drive from old place to new was far... nope, 13 miles and if it were "far" he should have indicated that when I gave him address specifics upon booking my appointment. His response for the dry wall was "well my guy can take a picture drywall is a $5 patch job" GREAT! then your crew can go spend $5 and find it since I did not put the hole there. Lee did do a nice job of being apologetic about the hole, he Googled an Ace Hardware and came back with caulk and apologized some more. Though the movers, with the exception of Jason were slow they were friendly. Tim however was very unapologetic. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Next step is rating them on the BBB. read more

If I could go lower on a rating I would. The movers were nice, but only 2 worked while the 3 crew member was on her phone or smoking a cigarette, which resulted in an overage of time. There was also damage to furniture which was based on they were taught on how to pack a truck. Customer Service is horrible and highly recommend going elsewhere for services. We provided pictures of the damage and were told that though it was not the outcome we wanted to hear, but they could not find any fault on their side.
