From the soups and appetizers to the sushi and entrées, every dish was outstanding. On top of a great meal at fair prices, our waitress, Cindy, made the entire experience even better. She offered excellent recommendations, was wonderful with our kids, attentive throughout the evening, and honestly just a lot of fun. I highly recommend Atlantic Offshore Fishery for its delicious food, fair prices, and beautiful views overlooking the water. If you're lucky enough to be seated in Cindy's section, you're in for a fantastic experience.

There's also a huge free parking lot right outside. Our waitress, Liz, was kind, attentive, and clearly very experienced. The restaurant is BYOB, though they do sell a few bottles for around $35. Just note that wine options are limited--they only had Chardonnay as their white wine option. The complimentary tuna salad was so good that we bought a container from the market to take home. We each had a cup of clam chowder, shared the miso scallop sushi, and ordered the sesame-crusted bluefin tuna special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The highlight for me was the key lime pie--one of the best I've ever had. We loved everything and can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Since it was lunch time we both got the sunset dinner specials which are served from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. Both of our meals came to start with a generous salad (you can also get a bowl of chowder if you aren't interested in salad), soft drink of choice, and dessert. (I got carrot cake and my mom got chocolate cake) The food was extremely fresh and came out very quick. The restaurant itself was also clean and we had a beautiful view of the water with the docked boats. Food - Broiled Jumbo Shrimp - These juicy broiled shrimp were smothered in the most luscious butter sauce. The shrimp itself were very tender and the seasoned butter sauce gave the shrimp an amazing flavor. My meal came with a baked potato that I added some butter too and a side of mixed veggies which were also seasoned nicely. - Coconut Shrimp - These were the most perfect coconut shrimp. Each of the jumbo shrimp were battered in a generous amount of coconut flakes and fried to perfection. These shrimps were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The shrimp paired nicely with the sweet chili sauce on the side. The dish was also served with French fries which were nice and salty.

The price did not match the amount of food you get and to re-state, not much flavor. The service is good. The staff seem to hustle in bringing you the lackluster food. Sitting outside was the best part of dining there. But keep in mind, you are there to dine and that is the problem. As mentioned, was here as a younger me and it was significantly better....food and cost. Parking could be a challenge there.

The fried calamari were tender, crisp outside and nice, petite bundles of joy. Organic blackberry margaritas were nice! Generous fried flounder sandwich with house cut fries seasoned with old bay. What a great dinner…read more.. We decided to drive up to Point Pleasant for our last dinner of the long weekend and point Lobster Bar & Grill was the choice. When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here.

If you are coming later in the season, I would try to reserve. First up -- some nice slices of warm crusty Italian bread and butter. I ordered a cocktail special - the Kelle Belle (or similar) which reminded me of a Pimm's cup. La Portena had her usual Riesling -- no complaints. Lobster bisque was one of the hits, the typical rich broth, with the not so typical actual lobster meat - small bits to be sure, but so often there is no lobster at all. We also shared a lobster roll as a starter - it was good but I would have preferred larger chunks of meat - the roll was accompanied by some tasty tortilla chips. Next up, a complimentary salad - this was fine. I ordered soft shell crabs - they were perfectly fried meaty specimens but the french fries and cole slaw seemed like afterthoughts- the plating was haphazard. La Portena's flounder stuffed with crabmeat was a better plate overall. Two fresh small filets, stuffed with a savory filling and some good mashed potatoes. The glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc I chose to accompany the crab had the strongest grapefruit nose I have ever experienced. I know these always taste of grapefruit, but this wine was over the top. No room for dessert. Our server was warm and pleasant, and the entire experience transported me back to shore dinners with my parents in the 70s. I would return.

But you do, I said, it's on the menu in the seafood boil. The waitress went to the kitchen and return saying we don't sell them separately. It's a seafood place for crying out loud. So we ordered the seafood boil as an appetizer and took the clams out. I ordered the fish tacos, which were just OK. The worst thing about the dish was the bland rice and the black beans that were served apparently right out of the can with no seasoning. You could've at least thrown some spices in them. I had to ask for a side of salsa to give the beans some flavor We had several appetizers and quite a large group. The waitress handled the group very well.
