    Filet Mignon Sliders

All these bad reviews had us scared but you know what, it wasn't bad at all. Went a couple of weeks ago on a Friday at 6. Since it was still off season it wasn't crowded and it was easy to find a parking spot. We opted to sit inside since the weather was a little chilly and some in our group didn't bring a jacket and this spot is right on the water. We were prepared to not like our food...based on the reviews. I ordered the hanger steak salad and the rest of the group ordered sliders. We wanted to keep it simple. And we all really liked our meals. They were quite good. As for the drinks, I immediately noticed that the prices were not on the menu which means we got the tourist menu. I mentioned that to the server and she told me the price of what I wanted to order. We had some random drinks and they were fine. The band came on at 8, which was our cue to leave. This place is fine. It's a typical jersey shore bar.

Parking. Includes outdoor dining. Very nice summer tiki decor. View of the water and boats. Friendly service. We ordered lobster rolls which needed seasoning. And the nachos were huge but lacked cheese and it had steak with no seasoning. Overall nice view and summer spot. Food was okay.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch. Very clean- beautiful views- friendly hostess and very friendly bartender! Got some food to pick on and share over a beer. Had a nice selection of beers on tap. Food was okay - felt like everything could have had a little more flavor but cooked perfectly!

Love this spot. It is right on the water and the food is delicious. Our server jenn was so friendly and accommodating. We love getting seafood and drinks here and i reccomend the clams and filet mignon sliders. Great spot to come on a nice day outside to be on the water

    everything was good!

this was actually a pretty cool spot! came in on a thursday around 5pm in June and there was still a decent crowd. Service was prompt and Taylor did a great job attending to us. Orders came in right and im surprised the Penne Vodka was absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed my burger. I had ordered Medium and it was cooked perfect and juicy! again, another surprise since i didnt have such high expections. Apps were good as well but didnt expect to enjoy the BBQ caulifower more than the calamari! whoa! Love the vibrant colors as it added to such a chill and inviting vibe. Marina was nice and clean and their Party Pontoon looks amazing!

We came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We did not have anything to eat. We just had some drinks and sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of the marina. There isn't much parking in the parking lot, but you can park on the side street nearby. We saw some food come out and it looked pretty good. I would definitely go back and try it.

It's a happy place @thepigandparrot * Beautiful restaurant on the water, good food, but the atmosphere is what we liked best. Drinks are big and delicious! * They also have party boats @pigandparrotsandbar @pigandparrotpontoon which we are extremely interested in so maybe a video about those soon * Anyway it's a perfect stop on the way to or home from the beach, this day we went to @ptpleasantbeach and saw a sign for Pig & Parrot in the way. Point Pleasant is our favorite beach so it's nice to know there's a really cool delicious restaurant right next door.

Arrived few minutes after they opened. No patrons at all. We decided to dine inside because it was way too windy outside. The inside is not too big, there's a few tables and the bar area. There are a ton of pictures on the wall of fishermen with their catches, a bunch of TVs and there are a lot of police patches along the drop ceiling above the bar. The outside area by the dock is a large area to sit outside to eat and drink. Very colorful inside and out. When we came inside there was nobody at the host table but the lady inside confirmed that we wanted a table inside and she said she would go get a waitress. The young waitress just came over within a minute or two asked what we wanted to drink, she was sweet but service was nothing special at all and if I had to say, probably below average. We ordered an iced tea, a Coke, and he ordered the Dark and Stormy (which he has had many times in other establishments for comparison), very weak drink. When she came back to take our food order, I ordered the Mini Crab Cakes as an appetizer, and my lunch was the Cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and He ordered the Bacon Ranchera burger. When the appetizer came out, the waitress was not carrying it, it was somebody from the kitchen. I immediately looked at it and thought maybe I ordered the wrong thing- they brought out the crab cake sliders (3), so she didn't pay attention and put in the wrong order. I actually looked on the menu and didn't even realize they had crab cake sliders that's how I knew she put in the wrong order. Will I return it? absolutely not, because now -strike one. They were nothing special, I've had better. I ordered The Crush as my drink. I wanted to try something different. I am not a vodka drinker but all I tasted was orange juice, another weak drink. About 15 minutes later, my chicken sandwich came out by the same person who delivered the appetizer not the waitress. But the burger was not delivered, I kept my sandwich in front of me, not eating because my husband still did not have his burger. I timed it, it took an additional 9 minutes for the burger to come out. Strike 2. I actually was paying attention to the staff while we waited all that time for a burger to come out and there were four staff right at the bar having a big conversation and no one was paying attention to the still ONLY table in the establishment still waiting for one sandwich. Management should train their servers that you never bring out one sandwich and the other person has to wait almost 10 minutes for a BURGER!!! My husband then ordered Captain Jack's Lemonade, nothing special. Both sandwiches were very, very average my husband even commented that a Whopper was better than this burger. Service was mediocre. Disappointed. One and done for us. By the time we left we were still the only table seated inside, there were two other couples that sat at the bar but for being the only table we should have had a better experience . We wanted to try this place because we saw it advertised a lot and we live relatively in the shore area. If you want a place to hang, drink BEER (they did have a large list of beers), then it's your place. If you want a decent drink and great food, go somewhere else. I'm sure this place is a gold mine in the summer but the locals must carry it because it's not that great.

Epic talent at open mic night, Monday nights. This young musician is super talented!!! the leader of the night Kevin Hill is awesome

Five stars for being authentically true to itself. last Monday night at Pig and Parrot Brielle I Found myself in a little oasis on the Jersey shore. The atmosphere is so much fun. I felt like I was in Key West in a condo complex. This is not a snobby place but a really fun place for people to let loose. Eat some good food and check out some great tunes. I started with the gorgeous plump oysters and finished with a delicious tasting simple burger. I was impressed that they had La Crema Chardonnay, my favorite. After our meal, we went upstairs and enjoyed a really Really fantastic open mic night. The format was really cool because the evening was Led by this seemingly great guy Kevin Hill who is very talented in his own right. Again the atmosphere is so much fun, they had disco type shining lights making the room very festive. Everyone veryone was having a really fun time. I could not believe it was Monday night. The place had a great vibe. What is Cool is that people show up and sit in with the band or bring their own band. There were some absolutely incredible young musicians who showed up. The highlights were these two kids, probably freshman in high school, jamming out to Ozzy Osbourne while Kevin Hill sang. He was so encouraging and it was Pretty special. Then this college "kid" came out with a trombone and blew my mind. I ended up speaking to him afterwards and he is in a music school/college. The talent was extraordinary. All the other musicians around were equally good and super fun and fabulous. The bar had plenty of people dancing and having a terrific time. It was so much fun. I'm going back again this Monday. There's nothing fancy about the pig and parrot, but there's something pretty special about it if you like live music, good vibes tasty drinks, and some fun bar. Food look no further..

We started our meal with Fried Calamari that was a potion that the three of us could not finish. The calamari was fried just enough and on the side was enough tomato sauce for all that we were given. This was middle of the road with no spice intended. For my meal I had seafood risotto that was fantastic. It came w small pieces of lobster, clams, shrimp and I believe scallops. This came in a nice amount of risotto and a sauce that was the best. There was plenty of fish to pair with risotto. Nobody could claim they skimped on the fish as there was plenty. A second meal was off the daily specials. This was cubed eggplant and pasta. The pasta was rigatoni in a very nice tomato sauce. And again this was another great tasing meal. The final meal was eggplant parm that came with spaghetti. The eggplant and cheese balance was really good and my wife loved the dish. Overall everyone loved their meals and all of us took home enough for another lunch or dinner. This is not our first time here and plan on returning again. They offer a dinner section, seating at the bar and some high top tables to fit your liking. Waitress service was top shelf and revisited the table on a frequent basis. If you want great meals at a fair price this is a place for you to at least try. Our bill plus soda and ice tea was barely $100. My only callout is the noise in the room is a bit loud. There is little draping to deaden the sound and if you are looking for a quiet meal this might not be your place. Especially Friday through Sunday.

The Dockside Shrimp and Fried Pork Pot Stickers were both delicious, shareable appetizers and arrived quickly. For entrées, the Tuna Poke Bowl, Shrimp Poke Bowl, and Jambalaya were all flavorful and generously portioned. My main complaint was the timing of the food. The poke bowls came out less than five minutes after the appetizers arrived and about 15 minutes before the jambalaya. Our server mentioned they would come out faster, but the pacing made it difficult to enjoy the appetizers before the table was filled with entrées. Thankfully, the poke bowls were cold, so we didn't have to eat them immediately, but it still felt rushed. Next time, we will not be ordering entrees until after we are done with appetizers since it seems the staff doesn't do anything to mitigate timing. We understand the poke bowls coming out before the regular entrees, but it coming that quickly after apps is an issue on the waiter's side in my opinion. Overall, the food, views, outdoor seating, and convenient parking made for a very enjoyable meal. I'd definitely return and would just hope for a little better coordination between the kitchen and sushi station next time.

I've always heard good things, and I thought the food stood up to the reputation. The restaurant was packed on a Monday night, which was probably a good sign for what led to a delicious meal. I really enjoyed the roasted oysters topped with yummy breadcrumbs. My daughter enjoyed a sushi appetizer and wedge salad with blackened tuna that she claimed was delicious as well. Our other dinner partner enjoyed his halibut. I really loved the show-stopping, gigantic jumbo lump crab meat risotto. It was very filling, but super delicious. The food was rich and, in some ways, basic, but executed perfectly. I added some of the street corn and that really made things even better get this dish. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere was busy, if not hectic. Our table was in the middle of the room, next to a large family with little kids. One was seven months old and the other was two. That seemed like a bit much for a dinner with these price points. It's not an inexpensive restaurant and certainly not a family-vibe Houlihan's. We had mixed feelings about the atmosphere, but I kind of thought it was cool--a really pretty building with some rustic charm.
