We recently enjoyed an early dinner at Point Lobster. Centrally located on Arnold Street, the restaurant seemed to be quite popular. The hostess took a bit long to acknowledge us but it was okay... We were not in a hurry, after letting us to our table, a very gracious waitress took great care of us! My hubby ordered Lobster Bisque soup, and Tuna Tartare while I picked their signature Lobster Roll. The service was fast and efficient; our food came out in a short time. My hubby enjoyed his soup which he found very rich but the portion à bit small.. His Tuna Tartare was good both in taste and portion; a great plate for sharing. The Lobster Roll was just good but it could of have being as generous as the fries, (old bay spiced) that accompanied it. Overall, a pleasant dinner. read more

We've been looking forward to checking Point Lobster out after hearing great things from friends and family. We ate there tonight, a party of 3 seated outside on the deck. Service was prompt, efficient and very attentive. My wife ordered the cold lobster roll and absolutely loved it. My daughter, a teen with some strange aversion to all seafood, ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and found the salad bland and the chicken burnt. I ordered a 13/4 lb steamed lobster. It was super fresh, but I'm pretty sure the lobster had been cooked earlier in the day and then barely reheated for service. It was good enough, but I definitely think It's reasonable to expect a steamed lobster to be cooked to order. I look forward to visiting again soon. Finally made it here to try their delicious lobster roll! We stopped by on a weekday late afternoon around 5:00 after leaving the boardwalk. They weren't very busy and they had plenty of outdoor seating available. We ordered the lobster roll platter and the Fried Trio platter with fish, shrimp, and scallops. The platters are served with fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. We got our drinks and took a seat outside and our food was delivered to the table shortly. Finally got to try this spectacular lobster roll that was overflowing with delicious lobster and topped off with some melted butter... I also added some fresh lemon for the perfect taste. This was definitely the best lobster roll I've ever had. My fiancé really enjoyed the fried seafood platter as well. He said everything was fresh and delicious. Someone checked in on us to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything else... really great friendly service and the prices very reasonable $19.99 for the lobster roll platter and $18.99 for the Seafood Trio platter. I was really craving for seafood and was in the area and I'm so happy I found this gem!! Came around 2PM for late lunch and their outside seatings were still almost full. Luckily we were able to be seated. Menu is simple but everything sounded good on the menu! But we ended up getting the traditional calamari, the hot lobster roll with fries, the seafood trio(fish, shrimp, scallops) and the lobster bisque. Everything was delicious and fresh! Calamari was nice and tender. They're very generous with the lobster on the lobster roll. The lobster bisque also had big pieces of lobster in it. The only thing I wasn't really 100% satisfied was the fries. I felt that it was a tad salty for my liking. Service was quick and staff is very friendly and helpful. We've been going here for years when it was Europa South, but went for the first time since it's Point Lobster with another couple mainly for their delicious paella. First we ordered 1/2 carafes of a red & a white sangria, which were absolutely delicious. Then we shared an appetizer of fried calamari, which was crisp, fresh & enough for the 4 of us. We ordered one Valencia Paella (with seafood, chicken & chorizo) and one only seafood Paella (can't remember the name). Each couple shared one (and we took some home!) They were also delicious! We decided to order the Apple turnover with vanilla ice cream for dessert (ordered 2 & couples shared) & it was one of the best apple desserts we had ever had! Finally made it to Point Lobster Company and it did not disappoint. Nice bar area with plenty of sitting. And they have live music at times. Wednesday is surf and turf for $25 and what a great deal! They have a nice craft beer selection, with local beers on tap. Everything was fresh and had plenty of flavor. Steak was cooked to order and very tender. Highly recommend the mushroom risotto, huge side portion and priced perfectly. Can't wait to be back try more. Had a lovely luncheon yesterday. We both enjoyed lobster rolls with scrumptious fries. We got seated as they opened at noon. The facility is a plain vanilla restaurant with adequate furnishings. Not a spot for a romantic dining experience . But we did not come for ambiance. We came for the eats. I had lobster roll on the brain for days. The server and service was professional and friendly. It was obvious the team worked well together. The restaurant was very clean and airy as was the kitchen from what I could see . One note- restrooms require that you use a few steps up. Ok. Back to the food. The lobster rolls were to die for. I only wish they could have given us more lobster meat for the $25 price per roll. Nonetheless my desire for my annual lobster roll treat was sated temporarily but now I want more. Finally it as nice to see the establishment does not charge a fee for credit card usage. Stopped here on the way home from a crabbing trip and was glad I did. This is a no frills seafood restaurant (outdoor seating only) and it looks like they wholesale a lot of seafood. The food was amazing.....had the steamed lobster dinner with old bay fries and Coke slaw for $19.99! The quality of the food was miles more than I expected for the price. Lobster was sweet and cracked for easy consumption. Old bay fries were seasoned perfectly and the portion was huge. Was pleasantly surprised by the food. On another note it's good to eat at a restaurant that is supplied by local fisherman. They were bringing in their catch as we were eating. They work hard and it can be dangerous. What a way to go! Freshly caught perfectly cooked lobster. They crack the claws and split tails. Each container had drawn butter and a nice slice of lemon. We ordered nine lobsters so they gave us a huge Brown paper bag of delicious hand cut french fries. We put them on two baking sheets and heated them up at 359 or 7 to 8 minutes. Everyone was raving about them. The dishes also were supposed to come with coleslaw and some were missing this time. In their defense there was a extremely long line for take out and they were packed for outside dining. I was thrilled with how well they did. While others were waiting in line, I pulled up at the scheduled time and with in seconds a staff member called out my name. Some of the other guests were astonished. It was pretty awesome. Ok casual place. I wasn't going to write, but the fried clam special at $15 was an embarrassment. About 3-4 pieces of edible clam, and the rest small pebble sized pieces of who knows what. First off, the one thing I absolutely adore about this place is just how honest and straight forward the workers here are about how the fish are sourced. Just by looking inside at the store's own fish market you can see what is caught fresh and locally, and what is sourced in from other locations. And the employees are nothing but honest hard-working people, who have helped us at every time we needed something. For a last minute decision, I don't regret coming here in the slightest and will consider returning in the future. Onto the food itself, there are no complaints. Everything tasted good and for a decent price too! Now it's nothing exceptional but if you like seafood, you'll love this place. Personally I got the Panko Fried Fish of the day Platter aka Fried Fish, with the fish of the day being Silver Hake. The fish tasted perfectly fresh and it was great to know the meat I was eating wasn't frozen or sourced from somewhere far up north.
